Bob made sure he talked us through his recommendations of what could be an issue, how to proactively address it when we move in, and helped break things down in layman's terms for us. He didn't leave any stone unturned. Even when the seller and their agent were rude and trying to rush Bob through the process, he let them know, he was going to take as long as necessary to do a thorough inspection. Just to name a few things he did that stood out to me: checking every electrical socket, noticing that since they were older- they didn't have a GFCI protector for us, air filters, screen doors, electric panel, doors and cabinets opening and closing properly! He even realized on the electrical panel that there was a garbage disposal for the sink that the seller decided to deactivate and no longer use. At last I called Verrazano Roofing and Mr. Larry came to give me an estimate. He saw what was wrong. It was during winter of 2020 but it was mild and he told me it could be done. He came with a large crew of employees who were respectful and did the work in a very neat way. Even the hatch was fixed without my asking. They brought two pieces of wood, raised the hatch, put roof material around it and even installed the two locks I had there before. Not that the hatch is more important than the roof but it is important too. They also sealed around the two new skylights which he did not install because I did not know Mr. Larry and his crew were so good at what they do, or I would have bought them from him. The roof was guaranteed for ten years against natural leaks. I think and hope the roof will outlive me. I wish I had money to call Mr. Larry again for other work unrelated to the new, beautiful, kosher roof. Highly recommended.

Usman and his incredibly capable crew restored and repaired my 6 story townhouse back exterior and…read moremy roof, which are made out of EIFS stucco. We had hired a structural engineer to add flashing to balconies as well as ceiling fans. When he added the fans, he cut into the EIFS and did a very poor job patching the channel he cut to hide the electric. This caused condensation inside the home and required immediate repair. Usman is a class act. He personally showed up to the project himself every single day. He also did certain parts of the project himself or was helping his men in any way he could by doing various tasks. The roof needed a sauna removal, which Usman and his crew did with extreme care, but also left lots of damage to the EIFS stucco. Usman and his team carefully repaired it. Upon repair, he inspected our roof and found many critical issues we were unaware of. It was not done in a "pushy contractor" way, it was done because he knows his business and his products so well, he wanted to figure out why the roof was requiring so much product and because he is INCREDIBLY detail oriented. It was because the EIFS was getting wet due to exposed limestone joints, which over time would have meant we would have to redo the entire EIFS (a very big and expensive job) and he also found an immediate future issue which would have caused a leak. We were able to fix and get ahead of both, while staying on the original timeline. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated Usman and his team's attention to detail from start to finish of the project. Over the past 8 years in my townhouse, I have put a lot of work into it. It is tricky to find a great contractor. One that is not only talented, but also cares about his work AND his workers!!! That is a true sign to me of a wonderful company. He not only ordered lunch for his crew, he ALSO ordered lunch for my housekeeper and myself! I kept calling my husband and telling him how kind Usman was and how thorough. He is EXTREMELY thorough. He is collaborative in the sense that he will listen to the owner (in this case me) and address any and all concerns or questions I had with thoughtfulness and care. We hadn't planned on restoring the front of my building, which is limestone, but I had a quick question about it (NOT part of the scope!) for Usman and after I received the answer, my husband and I decided to get a bid to do preventative work to restore the front using Usman and his team again. I will absolutely continue to be a repeat customer. Owning a building requires contractors and Usman and his team are absolute gems. Clean, courteous, professional, and talented.
