I would recommend Kenny and Green Apple Home Inspections 1000 times over. We came to them with a request to inspect a VERY cluttered home, and Kenny went above and beyond in his inspection. He navigated areas even the homeowners struggled with, and gave us a comprehensive inspection while walking us through his process the entire way. Importantly, when the homeowner tried to play something down or cover it up, he would make the truth of the matter abundantly clear in a respectful, jovial manner. In the fantastic report we received later that SAME DAY, every little detail was noted, with notes on how to address them in the future. Next time someone I know moves, it's going to be Green Apple Home Inspections I send them to. read more

Edmond was thorough during my home inspection. On time. He had ladder, flash light, thermal gun, humidity reader, cameras and camera stick for height! He did a great job on the home inspection report as well. Highly recommended! read more

We're buying a house in Queens and I had the good fortune to be referred to Green Apple Home Inspectors by our broker. Benny was willing to come out for the inspection, pretty last minute, and did a great job writing up our inspection report. He was very willing to answer all my (many) questions about the house as we walked through. And it was a pleasure to learn from him. I really appreciated his patience, flexibility, and attention to detail. What more could you want from a home inspector?! read more

Benny was great. very professional. This is our first time buying a home and did not know what to expect. Even though he cannot see the areas of the downstairs to inspect the boiler or the electrical room. Benny was very thorough in the apartment itself and pointed out certain things to us that should be attended to. we appreciate his expertise. We would highly recommend Benny and his company to anybody who needs a home inspection. read more

Benny is kind, compassionate and detail oriented to the T. What else can you ask for? It was an absolute pleasure working with Benny and I definitely will be using him going forward. As a first time homebuyer, I felt taken care of and that's exactly what I wanted to feel. Thank you Benny! Rockstar. read more

Thorough, good natured, and helpful. Would definitely use Benny's services again in the future.

On two days notice, Benny Zhang did a wonderful job inspecting a co-op apartment in Manhattan that I hope to buy. Benny was pleasant and extremely professional. He was as thorough as possible and informed me of any factors that limited his inspection. For example, it was summer and the building's heating system was off and so any possible radiator leaks couldn't be detected. He gave me his report verbally at the end of the inspection and provided an excellent written and illustrated report within 24 hours. His price was lower than I expected. I highly recommend him! read more

Benny was professional, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and overall great to work with. He was very thorough and informative in his home inspection of an apartment I was in the process of purchasing and very helpful answering follow up questions. Would recommend! read more

I had an amazing experience with Benny from Green Apple Home Inspections. He was thorough, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He was happy to answer questions throughout the inspection and walked me through everything in detail. His report was very detailed and super helpful to ensure that material issues were identified and will be addressed prior to closing on my new home. I'd hire Benny again in a heartbeat! read more

This is our second time using Benny (we used him in 2022), and he is exceptional, talented and meticulous. He is extremely thorough and the buyer was annoyed at how long inspection took. Benny demonstrates mastery and expertise in the field and we trust him. He is supportive and dedicated to his work. His report has depth, and is detailed. He is compassionate and warm hearted. We highly recommend him without any reservations. read more

I have witnessed many home inspections throughout my career. I have also had a number of home inspections performed for my personal purchases. I have never seen anyone do a more thorough inspection than Benny at Green Apple Home Inspections. Exceeded my expectations. He got into every nook and cranny of that house. I highly recommend reaching out to him for your next purchase. A+ read more

A comprehensive inspection, followed by a clear and useful report. Highly recommended.

Green Apple is a no brainer. Extremely thorough and detailed in their inspection and report. Super helpful afterwards as I wanted to understand a couple of things that popped up during the inspection process. Don't use an inspector provided by your broker on what is likely the biggest purchase of your life. Have Green Apple make sure you're going in eyes wide open. Very glad I called them. read more

Benny is outstanding. Extremely comprehensive work, flags all key issues, and a great person as well

I highly recommend Green Apple. I dealt with Benny but also dealt with Kenny too. From start to finish both were professional & honest. A thorough inspection that was reasonably priced too. After, the inspection Benny even answered other questions I had. Can't say enough positive things. If you want an inspection done right, hire this company, look no further. read more

Efficient, thorough and honest experience. Benny was prompt with delivering a thorough report, and he caught a lot of issues that we wouldn't have recognized which gave us peace of mind before buying this property. He also went through the report with us and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend! read more

Benny was amazing and very through during the inspection. I was inspecting a coop on the top floor, and he was able to answer my questions outside the scope of the apartment (the roof, basement). With his overall findings, I realized the apartment would need way more renovations than I initially budgeted for. Unfortunately seller wasn't willing to give any credits or negotiate down the sale price, so I decided to opt out of the opportunity. Highly professional and detail-oriented, would definitely recommend and use for future inspections! ( I also left this review on Google) read more

I could not recommend Green Apple/Kenny more. I was in contract to buy a place and he found about 50 potential problems that neither I nor my broker had spotted. These weren't just in the unit -- he really went digging through the building, including discovering that a retaining wall in the bike room had serious unexplained water damage. Kenny was not pushy about what I should do; he just essentially divided the problems into "solvable" and "not solvable." I decided not to go through with the purchase. Not the cheapest inspection, but would have been far more expensive if I had bought the unit not knowing the big time problems down the road. (For the record I found Kenny through a friend...I do not recommend you go with a broker-recommended inspector. You want someone who is loyal only to you). read more

Benny is exactly who we were looking for in a home inspector. He was professional, personable, energetic, and most importantly he was thorough. He spent over four hours going through our four floor brownstone, focusing on even the most minor of details. Upon completion, he patiently fielded all of our questions and promised us he would be available by email or phone if we had any questions. He sent a detailed report 48 hours later--so detailed that we haven't come up with any follow up questions. I can't recommend Benny enough, his services were worth every dime we spent. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Benny when purchasing a new condo. He was very thorough and detailed and explained everything in simple terms that he found during his inspection. My last yelp review was in the summer of 2019 when my wife and I were looking for a new home. After that review, I had reached out to Benny 3 more times to inspect potential homes. Each time, Benny came out there and took his time with the inspection. No stone or piece of furniture was left unturned. The last report helped us seal the deal and we've lived here happily, guided by that report and used it to repair the minor issues we've found. Now, 3 years later, my family has grown by one and we're on the move again. Last week, we found a house but the seller basically demanded that we sign a contract in two days. I frantically reached out to Benny hours after close of business and he got back to me in minutes. He gave me a quick quote (extremely reasonable) and was available next day! He arrived early, got to work and was ok with us leaving him because we had to head out. When he texted me that he had finished, it was almost 3 hours after he initially started and that reflected in his report which was 50 pages. The report comes quickly as well -- took about 24 hours which is fantastic turn around when you're dealing with the current sellers market. The report itself is super detailed. I know that's subjective but it really gets to down to the nitty gritty. He provides advice and possible solutions, the correct type of professionals you should reach out to for certain issues and, most importantly, very detailed photos. I've seen reports from other inspections because my friends show me theirs and its never the same quality as what Benny has provided me. Benny's photos are high res, objects are placed next to issues to show comparable sizes and he'll always show you were the exact issue is. Reports i've seen from my friends just have photos of the general area and never the actual spot. Unfortunately, we didn't get the house. There was too much going on but, to be honest, after reviewing the report, it was probably much safer to let the house go than move forward with it. The foundational crack that Benny found was right below where the bedrooms are and I imagine, if we didn't fix it in time, it would've caused a lot of issues. Benny saves the day again! Lastly, I want to make a very strong point here. I haggle a lot. I was raised to haggle. It's in my blood. With Benny though, I've never haggled and I never will. His price is fair/reasonable and, to be honest, why cheap out on something that can save your life? Reach out to these guys and I promise you won't have any worries. I always reach out to Benny but my experience with the team has always been great. read more

11/10. Wow! Worth. Every. Penny. As a first-time homebuyer in NYC, I couldn't have asked for a better home inspection experience. I found out about Green Apple Inspections through of a reddit forum where redditors highlighted how thorough and effective they were in their inspections. They lived up to the hype. I worked with Kenny, and he pointed out so many issues that I would've missed and saved me hundreds of dollars in potential repairs. Throughout the inspection, he was extremely thorough and made sure I understood every aspect of my future home. He carefully explained every major system in the home - from the air conditioning and plumbing to the electrical setup and answered all my questions. I learned so much during the inspection and I'm grateful for all the knowledge he shared. He also sent the report the same evening! Kenny's highly detailed inspection gives us complete confidence that we're buying a home without major problems. Highly Recommend!! read more

My family and I are incredibly pleased with and appreciative of Kenneth's work. We needed a last minute home-inspection done for our potential new home and I gave Kenneth a call. He got back to me immediately with times for that weekend. He promised that the report would be completed and emailed later in the evening following the inspection. It was too good to be true but Kenneth followed through! In terms of the actual home inspection, Kenneth was very thorough. He went above and beyond to have our safety prioritized (such as triple checking whether there was a gas leak when we expressed our concerns). He was honest, clear, and most definitely knew what he was doing. If you need to hire someone in New York City for your home inspection, Green Apple is the way to go! read more

Edmond helped inspect our Brooklyn condo during our first walkthrough. Pros: * Affordable- for 2 bed 2 bath- we were charged $475 and for a 2nd visit, $100 * Punctual, arrived on time and ready with his suitcase and waistband of gadgets and tools * Edmond was incredibly meticulous, careful, and professional. He took his sweet time with every room and also checked the above units, roof, and basement. He took photos of every single thing he inspected, and made sure to include the most important images with clear red callouts on the report. * Because of him, we found out there was a potential leak above the laundry dryer room that needs to be investigated, cracked materials, missing rain cap on roof exhaust flume, and more issues. * He provided an extensive and detailed report 2 days afterwards. We are SO glad we went with Edmond of Green Apple, he called out so many things which we never would have thought of. Highly recommend these guys- thank you! read more

Benny did a great job with our inspection. He came on time and waited a long time to do the inspection when we had a scheduling mixup with the seller. Benny is fantastic. My realtor had recommended him and his team. Benny was responsive, speedy, thorough, and inspected my apartment with as much care as if he himself were buying it. I am so happy to write this review after using Kenny for my home inspection. He arrived early to speak with the building super and other staff and came prepared. His inspection of the apartment was incredibly thorough and very educational. He took the time to show me how everything worked in the apartment and pointed out certain features with appliances I never would have known about. Kenny was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and thorough. I strongly agree with another poster on the importance of using your own inspector, not a realtor provided one. I recommend Kenny without reservation and also personally thank him for making this step in the process enjoyable. read more

Worth every penny, and more! These guys go above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied. I was dealing with a very difficult listing agent and Benny (inspector) was patient, thorough, and trustworthy. He answered all of our questions and offered his professional opinion, which we were so grateful for. Not to mention that he found countless issues with the unit that we were unaware of (leaks, improper installations, electrical issues...). I really felt like he was looking out for us, which is an invaluable quality. We got the report the following evening and it was so detailed. Plus, their website has an example report if you're curious about what to expect - which I appreciated. Cannot recommend them enough and I will definitely use them myself in the future! read more

We stumbled upon Green Apple Home Inspections from a random internet search and I am so grateful we did. Our previous experience with home inspectors wasn't great so we didn't have high expectations but from the start Benny blew them out of the water. His professionalism and attention to detail were beyond compare, and he went through every nook and cranny of the townhouse we wanted to buy with a fine tooth comb, exactly what you want from an inspector. We all expected him to be done in an hour or two but four hours later, he was still scaling fire escapes and rooftops like Spider-Man. The report he prepared was extraordinary and was exactly what we needed to understand what we were getting ourselves into. I'm sure Benny uncovered issues that others would have missed, and we highly recommend them for all your inspection needs. read more
