I've mailed hundreds of packages through this UPS Store and never had one get lost. They have self-scan stations available if you don't want to wait in line and have labels on your packages already. This saves me lots of time. The only issue at this location is the parking can be as busy as a costco, and the lot is somewhat small especially with a Trader Joes now sharing their lot. We arrived at 2 pm to be informed that we would have to come back around 3 pm because the notary was at lunch and they are short staffed at the moment. I said, "But we made an appointment for 2 pm." "The notary is at lunch, come back." Not an apology for wasting our time and scheduling. In fact, why have a scheduling system at if you aren't going to use it or adhere to it? Would have been nice to know something before we got in the car and drove all the way to this location. If you can use automation to send out reminders, you can use that same automation to contact your customers of changes in scheduling. Otherwise, what's the point?

I just need 2 copies made from an original photo. Thats all. Color Images replies saying it was $5 and can be done while I wait. I replied to confirm and they said it was easy and to come on down. So I send my husband in the following day to drop off the picture. After dropping it off he calls me back and tells me how rude the guy at the counter was to him and just how complicated he made a simple task seem. He said the guy acted like it was just a huge inconvenience, asking several questions for what should be simple and self explanatory and complaining that they normally do larger jobs , blah blah blah. At the end of the day I hadn't heard back from them as promised to let me know it was ready. I was already on a time crunch, because I intended this picture as a gift to someone who was visiting so I stopped by to see if it was finished (4pm, drop off was 9am) and the guy said "Oh, I forgot, let me warm up the machine". About 10 min later I have the copies. Now remember, I specifically asked for a color print of a glossy photo and they specifically responded that they can provide this. What I got was AWFUL. It was a morphed, discolored, paper copy. Common sense dictates that if someone asks for a copy of a glossy photo then theyd get a glossy photo in return. Its was so terrible. I think he even tried to balance the color, which made it worse...... The original photo was taken is soft lighting but it came out like it was red..... I dont even know how to explain it other than it was absolute garbage. Like I said, maybe they do good work on large print jobs but this place had no business reaching out to me when I was specific about what I was looking for AND the guy who is at the service desk is rude and unprofessional. I dont care about the measly $5. I care that my time was wasted and that both my husband and I were treated poorly. Oh, and I had to ask for my card back because he didnt return it at the end of the task and yes, he forgot because he sent me on my way before giving it back. I drove straight to CVS and printed out a perfect glossy duplicate for under $1.00, self service, took 3 minutes, the picture wasnt damaged or bent like I had feared which is why I did not go in the first place and no drama.

I had a specific aesthetic I just didn't know how to express that in the context of nuptials. I went on TheKnot.com for ideas. Huge mistake. Most of the girls on that site have been planning their weddings since conception. If you're like me and would have been happy to elope, then The Knot will make your head explode. Totally de trop! But, I have to give them credit for turning me on to letterpress. My own search led me to De Milo Design. In 2003, I got my wedding invitations here. It was the easiest wedding-related decision I made (next to YES!). Dealing with Annika was so calming. And within five minutes, I knew exactly what I wanted. The invitation is the first taste of your wedding (assuming you don't do save-the-dates). Much like an overture or a prelude, it should set the tone of what's to come. My point is: the invitation is just as important as the dress. Recently, I referred my friend to them after seeing some of the crap other, more expensive letterpresses were trying to pass off as elegant, more like excessive. My friend ended up going with De Milo too, and I was shocked to see the prices really haven't gone up in 11 years! Inks, card stock, design, fonts, all gorgeous. They don't do anything tacky here. Just exquisite work. They're true artisans.

This is a customer-facing role--basic courtesy and professionalism should be non-negotiable. I won't be returning, especially with a print shop literally next door that values customers' time. The low rating here is well earned, and I wish I'd noticed it before walking in.
