I love Pro-Pest! The best in the area. We recently had a trash panda (aka racoon) who decided to take up residence in our chimney. Eric and Javier came out to assess the situation and came up with a plan to get the squatter out in a safe manner. Their trick worked and no animal was harmed in the clearing of our chimney. Man, these guys are the REAL DEAL! Between Javier, Ruben & Carl, the new (to us) older home we moved into is now properly 'pest-less'! (Is that a word???) Javier came by the very same day I initially called, surveyed the situation (rat feces in attic, broken crawl-space doors, broken vents, racoon cubby-hole off the roof, major ant infestation around the yard, etc.), gave us a VERY reasonable estimate & scheduled a date for them to start the work (which was just a day or two later!) He secured the crawl-spaces w/ brand new doors & cemented the base so no more entry there, set traps in the attic and outdoor-sprayed our perimeter to keep the ants at bay. Then, Ruben popped-by a couple days later, removed a dead rat from one of the attic traps & secured the raccoon hideout w/ heavy-duty wire fencing up on the roof & even spotted a 2nd potential entrypoint that we couldn't see from the ground & blocked that up as well. Then he went onto cover-up all the other broken vent entrypoints. Then finally, Carl came by to spray the interior of the home on another day we could get the pets out for a few hours. He finished his spraying in less than 20 minutes & was on his way. All three guys (as well as Beatrice, Heather & Tracy who run the joint from the office), were super cool & friendly, on-time, & cleaned-up whatever they worked on. Finding out that unwanted rodents have selected your garage as a living space is horrid. Getting bids to evict them is daunting. I asked for bids from numerous companies and the typical reponse was that they had to send someone out first. This resulted in time spent waiting for the company's agent to show up, explaining the problem and having them examine a small garage with rodent squatters.... somewhere. Bids given after time spent on the tour of the garage ranged all the way up to $4,000.00. ProPest was willing to give me a ballpark bid on the phone, came out quickly, quoted a reasonable $325.00 price for setting traps and sealing up places that might be rodent doors. They came, they set, they retrieved, they left. They do not do clean-up, so you are left with that chore, but it beats paying $4,000.00 and they are fast and effective. read more

Eric and Ruban at Propest are the best!! 10 years ago when we moved into our house they removed the rats and they secured and locked down all possible critter entrance points in our house. When I moved into Studio City I was told it was just a matter of time before the rampant city-wide rat problem knocked on our door (or snuck into our attic, as it were.) Very pleased with the work by this company, particularly their hot shot trouble shooter and problem solver, Ruben. We had critters in our attic, and I imagined an ordeal of trapping them, return visits, no success, and a continuing ordeal. Their approach is very logical; trap the rats, then search diligently for every possible access point to your home to make sure they cannot re-enter. Ruben was super thorough, and super conscientious, again, like he was looking after his son in law's home. He found and secured all the possible access points where rats could enter the home and sealed them off. He wasn't in a rush to get on to the next job; his priority was seeing to it that every possible access was discovered and secured. Someone on Next Door recommended Pro Pest and I'm so glad I called them. A rat had entered my home and I was in a very anxious state about it. One of the technicians, Tom, consoled me over the phone and assured me that the rat would never try and approach me. Phew! The receptionists were also very supportive over the phone to me.
