I don't live in the Hampton/Newport News location and was just out here for business. I spent a lot of time researching nail salons and this one was one of the only ones that had consistently good reviews. I took my chances and drove the distance. When I walked in, (I'm assuming she was the owner) asked me what I needed done today. I told her a full set and a eyebrow wax. She then said "have a seat." Now I'll remind you that this was my first visit here, and I'm unaware of there being a sign in sheet. One the owner never mentioned when she told me to sit down. So I sat and waited. I assumed I would be the next person in her chair since there was absolutely no other customers waiting at the time I arrived. She was just finishing up a customers nails. 10 minutes goes by and her customer goes to pay. Another customer walks in and "signs in". She then proceeds to take that customer. 3 other customers walk in and "sign in" and they get directed to other nail technicians. I can understand if there was an appointment, but I asked if one lady had an appointment and she said no. Needless to say I left after an hour of terrible customer communication and service. I cannot say enough good about this place! I am visiting here for work and I needed a touch up on my toes and some fresh nails. I went to Suffolk one time and Williamsburg. Both were good but I didn't want to drive 40+ minutes to get these done. So I Yelped! Of course lol. And this place rated pretty high. I loved all the pictures and reviews. What did it for me was they had s picture of gel dip powder and that's is exactly what I wanted done. It is still a newer procedure so not all nail places do it! Once I saw that, the distance, and good reviews I decided why not. I got Claire and she was super amazing! She did both my gel pedicure and my gel dip full set. I love the gel dip she did amazing and it almost had a very very light ombré look. I can't have faddish nails and she did it to perfection! She cut them short like I like so I can still lift and play softball but look cute haha. I would go back just for the exceptional customer service! This is the first place that did not hurt my toes when cleaning them up, didn't hurt my bails when cleaning or filing. I won't have to take several Advil to prevent throbbing later, thank goodness! I can say whenever I am around this area this will be my go to nail place! You would be remiss not to go get your nails and toes done here! read more

I went to Pro Nails & SPA for a pedicure this past Thursday for the first time. They where a litlle busy so I decided to leave. A lady chase me down in the parking lot to get my business. Mistake I should have kept going. Three times she dug her left thumb nail in to my large toe causing pain. I jerked my foot twice to let her know after the third time I pointed it out to her and she stoped. Now the rest of the pedicure went well so I thought. Went I woke up Friday morning I notice a sore on my right heel due to her scrubbing my foot to much. I am not new to pedicure and get them often. I have two salons in Hampton which I frequent. However, after spending time in Sandy Bottom and was in the area I thought I would try them out. Big mistake, in all of my years getting pedicures I have never ever left a salon and gained a sore on my foot after receiving service. Never Again! She shouldn't be allowed to work on anyone's feet. read more

My friend & I went there for pedicures and fill-ins. The pedicures were alright but they charged a ridiculous amount for our fill-ins. When we went to pay we told the lady why we weren't happy but she insisted on us paying the full price, by that time I was ready to just get out of there cause we spent 2 and a half hours there for some shitty nail quality. Came on a Sunday afternoon and was able to sit right down for my services. The pedicure chairs are huge and have quite a few different settings which was nice. I actually felt I had received a quick massage when I left the chair. The actual pedicure services leave a bit to be desired. It was bare basic minimum. I would have greatly appreciated a little more attention to problem areas. Also, I wish the paint on my toes was more neat. I also received a Shellac manicure which was nice. The paint job on my nails was very neat and appreciated. The selection of Shellac colors is also nice because they have lots of choices. I cannot say I will rush back but in a bind I will go for a mani. Also, they do NOT accept ApplePay although online it says differently. read more

I love this place! I have to admit that the first time I went there it was by default as they're open later than most other places. However, after a few consistent visits they're now my place to go! They're priced reasonably, are patient, and pay close attention to detail! I'm really hard on my hands (love to cook, play sports, and -depending on the season - grow my own food) not to mention I bite and pick my nails (I know, that's terrible) so most of the time my gel paint only lasts a week instead of 2, theirs actually lasted 2 weeks! As mentioned above, I'm not a girly girl and I like to keep my nails reasonable short, I like that they listen to what I want, even if it's not the norm! I came here based on the yelp reviews and I am so glad I did. My daughter and I were taken care of by Kim who did her best to accommodate my daughter's request for American flag nails. She picked out the best shades and gave her a design she loved! While my daughter's nails were drying, she painted mine. I asked for a light color gel base with a pretty white design and she totally came through for me! She also waxed my eyebrows and they came out perfect. In town for work and need a pedicure and acrylic fill in ASAP. Best rated salon in the area and it's definitely not a disappointment. My feet have never felt so soft. I went to this place for the first time last week and got a pedicure. It was very clean as others have stated, they keep clean tools in a sanitizer and they line the bowls with a fresh plastic liner between each person. The chairs are really nice too, and the jets appeared to come off for cleaning so that's nice to know. My one complaint is that I think I came in on an off day (it was a Friday afternoon) when they seemed understaffed. I waited about 10 minutes to get into a chair (not bad) but then once I was there I waited an hour (!) while a party of four all got pedicures before anyone could come and work on me. I had to take my feet out because they were pruning and the water was getting cold! I don't blame the people that were working, they were doing good but quick work. But they really should have more staff there on times when it is going to be busy (like a Friday afternoon in summer). Other than the group of four, I was the only other person there for most of the time. They had a nice selection of colors, the technician did a great job on my pedi, and I will be going back! read more

This was my first visit to this salon which I went to based on their great reviews. I went in for a regular pedicure and eyebrow wax. Both the ladies did a fantastic job. I really liked how the lady took her time on my pedicure and I did not feel rushed out the door like I have been with my old salon. She was very precise which I appreciate because I am extremely picky about my nails. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail shop! The nail techs are horrible. I had to make them re-do my my feet 3 times and teach them how to shape my nails for a full set. When I got home from the shop within 1 hour my nail was broken. I was washing my nail and it just popped off. I came back the next day so they can fix it and they tried to charge me $6. Any good nail shop knows that if I was just here last night a nail repair would be free of charge due to the fact that it was their mistake. It was such an attitude when I refused to pay after I just paid them last night! The attitude and poor customer service on top of the low quality work is just all around an awful experience and I will NEVER be back. Don't waste your time or money on this place. read more

Well, the polish job was fine. However, the lady who did my pedicure ended up making a few toes bleed when she was removing cuticles and I ended up with an infection (Paronychia) because of the damage to the area which had to be treated with antibiotics & a minor surgical procedure to drain the area. I've been getting manicures and pedicures for well over 10 years now in several different states and this is the first time I've ever experienced this. It's still sore but fortunately it seems the infection is subsiding. Needless to say, I won't be back. read more
