I was referred by a colleague whose nails always look gorgeous--she's been going to Jennifer for years, and now I see why. I'm so glad I came--I've officially found my new nail spot. A lot of reviews mention that the shop is slow. I wouldn't say slow--it's just busy. And honestly, a full shop with no room for walk-ins usually means they're doing something right. The quality, attention to detail, and affordable prices speak for themselves. For me, that's what matters most. This is giving me very much tie dye! My experience at this place was long and drawn out for absolutely nothing! Both me a friend came together and were here for about 3 and a half hours just for two full sets and a set of lashes. We were bounced around from one persons chair to the next because of the lack of skill. I am usually not the person to complain about a few nail flaws but this is ridiculous. My friend had to have her nail design changed 2-3 times when all she wanted was a squiggly line down the middle and two dots on her nail. She asked for stiletto shaped nails and left with pointy grinch fingers. I was just going in for a fill in but after the tech TT saw I had discoloration (from clipping the ends of my acrylic nails at home when they grew too long) and tried to trim around it, I decided to just take off the old set. I don't feel like getting my nails done should be painful and most techs don't seem to get it... some even get an attitude if I ask them to file gently. Came here to get a French mani and after putting gel white on one hand and regular white nail polish on another she said my nails were too short to get them done. The only individual that has been courteous at this location is Jennifer and I believe that she is the owner. I walked into this establishment after a year of being gone. I knew I should have visited Nancy and Sara (the sisters that used to work in the shop) instead. The woman who attended to me was rude and even as I politely and quietly made my request known, she became angry and loud in her remarks. I wanted a pedicure because of my very calloused feet and it was inconvenient for her to put any effort into scrapping or scrubbing my heel. This will be the last $25 I spend at this establishment. Owner/Operator was rude and inconsiderate of her customers. She and the rest of the operators assume that paying customers don't speak many languages. A request was made to turn on the ac because it was hot outside and even hotter inside. They only had the front door open. Owner said she would not turn up the ac and suggested the nail tech that I use a flyer to cool down. I explained to here that I understood everything and that was not quality customer service for one and it was sure secondly. One of the nail tech agreed and turned the ac up. Aside from the lack luster salon design with exposed beams, the techs are not sanitary. My husband and I came in together for pedicures. I told them my toes were gel but they decided to do his toes while I sat patiently waiting. I'm not sure what the blue stuff they use is when they are soaking our toes but I'm 100% sure our feet is NOT supposed to spend over an hour soaking in it while they assist other patrons of the business. I walked in at 10 and my feet was submerged at 10:15/ it s now 11:31 and I have been "soaking" for over an hour. Not only was I waiting for service for over an HOUR "while Soaking In what ever chemical that was. I was skipped twice. Now I am very patient but not when it comes to feeling weird sensations on my feet that's been submerged in this stuff. I decided to get up and leave but they all tried to have me come back noticing their mistake. My feet are beginning to have a chemical burn. I had to stop driving my car that's how it hurts. Let me start by saying that I went to this shop for 15 years. I only go back if I'm desperate. Pros: Reasonably priced for a nail salon in a strip mall and a few talented techs. Cons: Not very clean. I think I subconsciously figured that out a while back because I started bringing my own supplies. You cannot book an appointment. The long suffering client is treated no differently than a first time customer. Why? Because the owner's priority is getting your money. Sadly, she has said this to her customers..." I love your money honey." Lastly, the shop opens when it opens. I've driven by many times on a Saturday morning after opening hours to see that the salon was still closed and customers waiting outside. It's sad what this business has become but there's no reason for her to change when customers continue walking in the door. I now wax my own eyebrows and found a real salon to do my pedicures. I have been a customer of Jennifer's for over 10 years. I have had a few hiccups with her especially when it comes to getting my nails done. She doesn't take appointments so you are pretty much playing musical chairs with other customers whose nails she has to do. Recently due to the COVID she supposedly starting taking appts since she was able to open her shop only taking appts. So I made an appt on Tuesday for today at 5 pm and I get there and she proceeds to ask me to come back in an hour because she had people that she hasn't finished yet. I figure ok I can come back in an hour. Now this is where it went completely left. I come back at 6:05 pm and she told a customer that was leaving to tell me that she was done for today and to call the number to set an appt. NOWWWW at this point I'm on FIRE. How are soooo unprofessional to a regular customer to have another customer tell me that she's done for today? How are you done for today and I had an appt for 5?? So I proceeded to cuss her out. Jennifer thinks that everybody is desperate to have their nails done by her. But one thing she doesn't have to worry about is me ever spending another dime in that shop period. This salon does their thing, no shortcuts. They know how to shape your nails, nails are not overly thick. I hate that. Their services are A+ and prices comparable. Feet soft as butter. Second time I visited. I would have rated them higher but the shop and gel light could be much cleaner and organized. A new coat of paint and some artwork would really help. organized. I had been to Pro Nails once before and had a good experience, so I thought I'd try them out again this past Saturday to get a pedicure/manicure for Easter. Not sure what happened, but the very next day some or most of the polish had come off my nails and I was left to attend church with my nails looking wretched. The worse part was the attitude and lack of customer service I received when I went back (on Easter) to see how they could remedy the situation. Since my faith in getting a good manicure at this point was lacking, I asked the person who helped me if I could get a refund, and that was refused. This person was very rude, and very snippetly said I could wait but she had 3 people ahead of me and everyone else had a customer. One would think they would want to show me and the others listening that they stand behind their work and that they would be apologetic and try to help me as quickly as possible. That was not the case, so I was left with no choice but to file a dispute for this payment with my bank so as to get my money refunded to me.
