Brian and his crew did a beautiful job on our condo renovation! It was basically a whole gut job &…read morethey did it within my one month time line! I've had a vision for this place since we moved here and B Construction was able to bring it to life! Overall I would rate them a 10/10 with a few little hick-ups here and there. First and foremost, the light oak flooring installment looks and feels amazing! Though they didn't rip out the old flooring they were able to seamlessly level our floors. Secondly, the kitchen cabinets turned out elegantly & when they installed the ceiling light, it was the icing on the cake. So beautiful! Moving on to the bathroom, the walk in-shower turned out like out of a magazine. Brian's guys precisely chose every tile to match the wave designs, tile after tile. Love it! In the bathroom they also installed our new vanity, mirror and a few miscellaneous items that were added last minute, no questions asked We also asked his crew to paint the walls & sand down our wood ceiling which both turned out great! They also switch out all our electrical outlets (which means they have a guy that specializes in electrical & plumbing for the bathroom - a huge plus!!!). Lastly, we added two ceiling fans, one in the living room and another in bedroom, which all our neighbors love and get a bunch of comments on! His guys were all super friendly and when I asked them to change something I didn't like, they weren't hesitant to change it right away. With that being said, there were a few hick ups during the renovation. Brian had a couple of projects that his crew were working on at the same as mine which means there was constant confusion for him. When he asked about measurements for our new microwave, he ended up buying another one later on because he thought we were in need of one, which was never the case. My full length mirror was also lost in the process because he thought he thought I said it was rubbish. Lastly, there were some moments when I would text Brian and hear back from him a few days later. Not a convenient way to communicate when on a time crunch. I would also like to add that although problems did arises, they were solved and the outcome was still a masterpiece. I will 100% hire these guys again in the future & now I tell all my friends about them!

They are all also really good at what they do and pay attention to detail. Brian keeps communicating throughout the whole process to ensure it's all done as requested - actually our place turned out better than we expected because of Brian's suggestions and input. Everyone he works with also really cares about getting the job done right, not just getting it done and it really shows in the end product. We couldn't be happier with B Construction, and have already booked them for another project in the near future! They are super busy because they earned and enjoy a great reputation. Mahalos to B Construction!

After meeting with a few other contractors which provided quotes way above our budget, we finally met with Alex, which was through a recommendation. We couldn't be any happier with the opportunity to have worked with Versatile Construction. From the very beginning, while we had an idea of what we wanted, Alex helped us come to a good design/size requirement, providing suggestions and options along the way. Alex worked with his architect to complete multiple iterations of the drawings (making sure we were happy with what would be built), and also obtained the necessary permits for us. We were also able to use our own mason just for the concrete/foundation portion and there was absolutely no complications with bringing in this third party into the mix; Alex worked very well with him, making sure they were both on the same page and that all was in order for the build. As for the build, we are really satisfied with the results of the entire project, and especially with the way Alex coordinates/communicates and how he works along side his team. He was very upfront with scheduling himself and his team along with the other projects they were managing, but they were always there when they scheduled themselves to work on our house. We are pleased with the quality of work that was done. We feel very fortunate to have found a contractor that we can trust, with a team that takes pride in the what they do. We will definitely be calling these guys again for any project the future and would highly recommend Versatile Construction.

When my original electrician couldn't take on the job a few days before demolition, Troy found an electrician that I am more than pleased with. His assistant, Kurt was very professional in his work. This included knocking down a wall, and demolishing the ancient flooring, ceiling and bath plumbing. As first-time homeowners, we were pretty nervous and especially since our house was over 60 years old and not sure what surprises we'd find. The only surprise was that there were no surprises! First of all, James was super patient with my wife & I as we worked through what work we wanted to do and could afford. He gave us honest answers as to what could and could not be done within our budget and I appreciated it when he was honest about a few of our crazier ideas. Once reno started, James and his crew did a really great job and I was impressed by the high standard of the finishes and just their overall commitment to quality work. Work proceeded at a good pace, James kept us up to date on what was happening and he never made us feel stupid with all our questions and suggestions. Everything was cleaned up at the end of every work day which was important cause we were living here the whole time. The bid price was fair for the scope and quality of the work, and the coupla change orders we requested were dealt with fairly and efficiently. Follow-up has been terrific and James has been great about taking care of the inevitable few small things that were left at the end of the job. Even my wife said she'd hire All Build again and, trust me, she's usually not that complimentary!

Found him through another contractor friend when looking for something good with woodworking. While we liked some of the California Closet designs, James was able to make us custom built-in bookshelves out of real solid wood for less than the particle-board type of materials from other vendors (think IKEA). Those prefab places can get pretty expensive! Start-to-finish took about a week. We were very satisfied with quality of the final product.

Hired them to redo our entire shower and while from afar it looks great, upon inspection the amount…read moreof issues is crazy. The silicon molding is crumbling and falling out of our niche. The mold on the shower floor now is worse than in our previous shower and we now have a dehumidifier on after every shower to try to help the problem but have always had a high powered bathroom fan and airflow. Yes we don't have a window... but we do everything else we can and even live in town so it's not THAT moist in the room considering what it could be. I have a cleaning service twice a month and they were actually the ones that first drew attention to the poor craftsmanship. When they tried to scrub the mold growing on the grout (many months ago when it first started to show up because it was not immediate) chunks of grout started to come out. They said it was clearly not sealed- even tho the moisture of bathroom and previous grout mold of 30+ year old shower had been our biggest concern from day one and we were assured it would be sealed. During project: Had to keep constant eye because so many mistakes were made and the project lasted longer than it should have to fix all the mistakes and messes (missed grout on dozens of spots, filled in the divots on our tiles with grout, wrong drain, leaky faucet install, shower head at wrong level, concrete splotches all over the community outdoor sidewalk, etc.) Very expensive considering the work done, and my husband had to remove all the floor grout and redo it and seal it when we finally had enough and cleaning/everything else we did wasn't helping) Job was never finished (they ruined our bathroom floor outside of the shower) and they never returned to finish it completely and what they did was cracked and never sealed (it's stained concrete) and thus they never received the full amount of money. But considering my husband now has to redo bathroom floor and shower floor, the time and materials is even more than we owe them. The only positive is that the two workers sent were very nice, but they had been given wrong instructions multiple times (even simple things like where to place the shower-head and what drain to install), sometimes they even thought it was wrong, but at the end of the day they made the errors in their work and cut corners. So disappointing.

He identified multiple necessary repairs that were needed but could have just been overlooked by someone just doing what was asked of them. An example, the task was to replace the decorative flooring and drywall patch in the bathroom, he found that the toilet/shower repairs that would be necessary or it could have resulted in further leaks. Not to mention the wall joists and floor board/joists were in very bad condition from previous water damaged, so they also replaced all water damaged items. He transformed our rental into a wonderful looking home. The repairs included: repainting the interior of the whole home, refinishing of all kitchen/wet bar cabinets, drywall patch/repair, floor board/joist replacement, new vinyl tile flooring and floor boards (also painting to match cabinetry), bathroom renovation, kitchen counter top and sink, window & window frames, electrical fixtures/outlets, door & hardware, and all sort of other misc odds/ends.
