Francisco and his team went above and beyond for me. The day of the accident I asked my trusted plumber what to do and he referred me to Pro Dry. Francisco was at my house in less than an hour and spent the time it took to carefully inspect the water damage in my walls as well as my floors. He explained everything to me very thoroughly and with great care which alleviated a lot of the anxiety I was dealing with due to the unforeseen incident in my home. That same day before he left he already had a dehumidifier upstairs and downstairs to start extracting water from within my walls. If you value your home, don't let these people near it. We had water damage and we hired Pro Dry to conduct the mitigation work. They were here for a day, and the total bill was $23,000. Our insurance company had a third party audit the invoice and the audit drove to the true cost, which was $10k. Then, these people sent a "supplemental insurance bill" for an additional $947 which I am talking to my attorney about. They did a terrible job and then inflated the cost to beyond enormous. These guys said they finished remediation and that there was no mold in my walls. When the rebuild contractor took the drywall off that ProDry left (the un-scrubbed areas at the top of the photos) we found mold. They never air tested after and only spot checked plus they hit my insurance for 12+ thousand dollars. They were all very nice and friendly, but successful con men always are. Beware of this company. Pro Dry was sent by a plumber who said we had water damage from a toilet but said we could have the damage paid for by the home insurance company. The technician, Frank, used a hand-held device to confirm moisture. I was skeptical as the toilet only leaked once so I asked him to test the entire house. Not surprisingly, his device showed excessive moisture everywhere. He reluctantly admitted with a low water bill, the test may not be accurate and left. I was not given a quote or anything in writing. What was reported to the home warranty company, however, was the need for a full bathroom demo as there were broken tiles and excessive water damage. I called a local water mitigation company who confirmed no water leak existed. He demonstrated how hand-held water devices pick up moisture on the palm to give false readings. I called Pro Dry multiple times to ask for his report in writing to understand the differing results but never received it. The last few times I tried to reach them, the calls went directly to voicemail. When I turned off caller ID, the call went through, leading me to believe my number had been blocked. Overall, I feel I was part of an attempted scam or insurance fraud and have reported the plumber and this company to the BBB. FYI, the toilet has been repaired and no water damage was found. The Pro Dry team was a bit of a mixed bag. The context: We needed their services during this unusually strong winter season of rain. They were referred to us by a plumber and came immediately, which was great. We were new to this whole process and they provided expertise that we needed. The dirty work: They were thorough in measuring the water damage to our interior walls and marked off the areas that required mitigation and repair. Once they got approval to proceed from the insurance company, they were fast to get in and make their repairs. HOWEVER, they did leave a mess in areas that you didn't initially notice. Debris of drywall, dust, and trash were found on the side of our fridge, on top of our cabinets, our kitchen lights were damage, and it was just not left in a clean state afterwards. The office work: Dealing with their project managers was a bit of a hit or miss as well. There were times when they were incredibly responsive and caring. Other times, there was confusion and short responses to our questions. It seemed like they were dependent on the homeowner to stay on top of the insurance company to get things moving. Even later, when the work was done and their mitigation payment was being settled, they used the threat of a lien to get the insurance company to move faster - without telling us or keeping us in the loop. As you can imagine, this was very upsetting and not great to hear. Summary: They did the work. Their service can benefit from a more customer-friendly approach and transparent communication. I would like to correct my earlier review, which was done with coercion, I did not think this company was adequate or professional but I would not have gotten my $600 back if I hadn't written it. Someone asked why are the reviews so extremely positive and extremely negative, that's because the company coerces positive reviews and adds that the writer needs to include Frank's name. I felt they had poor communication, were overpriced, broke items in my kitchen and told me falsely I had to get testing which costs me $1600. They agreed to give me $600 to offset if I would write a glowing review and use Franks name. I would not recommend this company and now I know why they had so many good reviews. It took multiple times of asking for the summary of work done. The line items were exaggerated but I was told the insurance automatically pays those amounts, and they did not originate with the company. Had a small water leak in restroom. Scam plumber Gennaro's Plumbing sent out Pro Dry and they completely demolished my whole restroom, they even cut the shear walls. My Insurance field adjuster stop by today and said they completely went overboard with their dryup process.
