When my son's laptop started having the same issue one year later we decided to take it to another shop. The new shop said Pro Computers had not bought a new part and instead did a jerry rig job of the ac jack and that is why it stopped working again. So Pro Computers lied to me about providing a new part. This is on top of when we originally picked it up the keyboard wouldn't light up and everything was loose, which they did fix the light when we took it back in. I had also took them hinges to replace a broken one on the laptop. They said it was the wrong part but could not find it to give it back to me. Instead they taped the broken hinge in place. i just had to fix that because the screen was cracking due to that fix. More problems but leave it to say I WILL NOT RETURN HERE. read more

My keyboard was acting up. Went to the Apple store and was quoted $700 to fix my keyboard. Went to Pro Computers and was quoted a little over 10% of that price. They may be a little slow, but not only are they cheaper, but they really do get the job done. My Mac computer is good as new! read more

I like these guys, and I'll be going to them first for whatever I need in the computer arena. They are knowledgeable, fast, and very fairly priced. If there's a problem, or a caveat, it's around communication. If you have specific expectations, be sure that you make sure that those are discussed; they're not going to be upset if you feel stupid because you made an unvoiced assumption. read more

I had gone to Micro Center with some laptop problems and was told that numerous bad sectors required that the hard drive be replaced. I OK'd the work and a couple weeks and several screw-ups later I'm finally told the computer is ready. I asked that they move EVERYTHING from the old hard drive to the new one and was told that they can only move files/folders, that no one can move the programs over intact. The service manager at Micro Center used the word impossible. That's when I went to Pro Computers. The gentleman there explained the pros and cons of my request, quoted his price, and had the computer ready by the end of the same day. According to Micro Center, Pro Computers had done the impossible! I will be a lifelong loyal customer. read more

This is not your average computer shop. These guys can do things that BEST BUY, Staples, et al can not touch. They know hardware, often have hard-to-fine old parts. They also know how to save your data from crashed systems. They are honest and have fair prices. They will build you a custom system, if you want. There is a talent pool there that can often fix things immediately. They usually look at your computer immediately to assess the problem . I have used them for 10 years. read more

If I could give this business a zero rating, I would. Without diagnosing my laptop I was told that it would be ready the next day/ so I dropped it off. It was not ready the next day when I called and the owner (I am assuming it is who answers the phone)he was very short and rude and said that they'd call me when it was ready. Well three days later I called again and it was finally ready. When I went to pick up my laptop there was no apology for the extended time to fix it; only that there were a lot of viruses on my laptop and that was why it took so long to fix it. I was not all impressed with the so called customer service. I was appreciative that they removed the viruses and got the impression that they were knowledgeable, but felt that they were not communicative with me regarding the delay. While still at the shop, the owner turned on my computer and I could see that it was running faster but then discovered that they had eliminated my Outlook Account and all of my email contacts. The owner told me that nobody uses Outlook anymore... excuse me... I do. I did not ask for them to remove Outlook and have no idea why they did that. The owner told me that I would need to contact internet provider and get it restored. So I went home, tried that and they were not able to do anything. So I took my laptop back to Pro Computers and told them I wanted them to restore my Outlook account. SIX days later I called them, they did not call me once and I went to get my laptop. They did finally restore Outlook but six days is unacceptable. Do not use this business. They owner is rude, unfriendly, makes promises he can't keep, and is very unprofessional. They don't call you to update you on the status of your machine and then act like you are inconveniencing them when you call. The techs may be technologically competent but combined with the 9 days of waiting for my laptop when I was told next day service, and the rude manner in which I was treated, I will certainly not ever return, On a sale of 1-10, I'd give then a -20. read more

Yes, this business is as good as it gets! After having dealt with a scam artist, being told lies about my laptop problem, and under handedly putting in devices without my permission............ to say the least---. PC rescued my laptop from dome. I was told by the business from hell and the geek squad, that the hard drive was not working and nothing could be recovered. PC recovered all the data that was on the hard drive. ....music, pictures, name it and claim it. I am over the top with satisfaction. My laptop is running like brand new. PC folk know their business. what is needed to know about your computer, what is wrong and what will fix it before and after, you are privy to. last but not least, the price is right. They've extended the life of my Dell Latitude D-505 (which I still use) to 11 years plus. Over the years they replaced the failing screen, a hard drive that crashed, added memory, and managed to rescue the data on my drive that got messed up by a virus, wiping the drive clean and reloading the data. The service was always prompt and at a fair price, plus Shafik the owner does have a good sense of humor. What more can you ask? read more

There's ONE guy in this place who knows what the term "CUSTOMER SERVICE' mean and it surely isn't the owner! He's incredibly rude, condescending and changes his story frequently. Jose, a long-time technician, is excellent and very professional. Unfortunately, this also seems to mean that he's overworked. My first experience with this place was when I took a Toshiba laptop in for a variety of issues. I was told by, whom I later learned was, the owner that the laptop would be diagnosed and ready for me to pick-up in three days. Needless to say, that didn't happen and, like other postings, NO ONE ever called me. After a week, I called only to discover that no one could find my computer. Ironically, or maybe I should have taken it as a bad omen, when I dropped off my laptop a young lady was in there nearly crying because they couldn't find her computer! When I finally got my laptop back home I discovered that (a) they have removed programs, such as McAfee, without my permission even though I instructed them to keep all data and (b) I couldn't connect to the Internet. I hauled the computer back to the shop and that's when I first met Jose. He spent two minutes looking at the computer, immediately identified that certain drivers had not been installed AT ALL and apologized for the poor work. In a few hours he had the computer working, but wasn't able to do anything about the missing programs. The owner had the nerve to look at me and tell me that I didn't need some of the programs that they deleted and that he had installed "better programs" for me. Being so pleased with Jose, I decided to overlook the rude and unprofessional owner and took another computer in for service recently. I dropped it off on a Saturday and the owner told me it would ready on Monday. I had a friend with me and she confirms that I wasn't hearing things when he told me that it would be ready on Monday and that Jose would be the only one working on it as, in his words, Jose is the only one that works on the "small laptops" (netbooks). As before, Monday came and went and no calls. I called on Wednesday and, as before, no one could find the computer. After a day of my having to call them (they NEVER called back even though they said they would), they found the computer and said they were nearly done with it. A day later, I called only to find out that the power supply they were using had gone bad and they were looking for another one. Why they thought it was better to "look for another one" rather than call me is beyond my comprehension. I brought the power supply to them and they told me that the computer would be ready in a "couple of hours." After not hearing from them, I called 24 hours later on Saturday morning. Jose was not in the office and the person I spoke with became belligerent telling me that "I could not establish the law" for the store and that anyone there could work on any computer. When I tried to explain that I had specifically requested Jose because of previous problems and that I was told, in front of a witness, that Jose was the only one that worked on computers like mine anyway, so I certainly wasn't trying to "establish the law," the guy on the phone got louder and rude and told me to talk to Jose on Monday then hung up on me! It's Monday and I've yet to hear from anyone so I'm sure I'll be calling since I've never received a call from these guys (either time). This will be the last time I take any of my equipment to this store and certainly the last time I recommend them to friends. Go to Geek Squad or someone, anyone, else. Twice my computers were "lost" or "misplaced," never have I received a call as I've been promised on many occasions, the guy who I was told is the owner is very rude, arrogant and nasty to customers when someone dares to challenge how their equipment has been handled or how service has been provided. Bottom line: There's one excellent technician there, but it's not worth the hassle to try to get to him or to deal with the owner or other staff that don't have an ounce of customer service skill in their body! read more

On April 24, 2016 my computer wouldn't boot and I took it to Pro Computers. After several days, I called and they told me my hard drive was bad. Pro Computers had worked on the computer three months earlier, and at that time backed up my files on a portable hard drive which I had brought in. So when I found out the hard drive was damaged, I brought the hard drive with the backed up files on it to them. I picked up the computer after it had been in the shop a week. Two days later, I discovered that a lot of my email was missing, so I took the computer back to them. (The only email in my Inbox was from 1/15/16 to 3/10/16 and from 4/24/16, the day the problem occurred, going forward.) I picked up the computer the second time four weeks after I had brought it in initially. The technician recovered some additional email from 2009 and 2010. But she recovered almost all of the email in the Deleted Items folder. Of course, these are useless. So email spanning a period of over five years is gone. It turned out that when Pro Computers backed up the files three months earlier, they didn't include the email files, and the technician was able to restore only a small amount of email which had been in my Inbox from the damaged hard drive. Pro Computers destroyed the damaged hard drive without notifying me so there is no chance of recovering the missing email. I never received a call from Pro Computers during this whole time and they never admitted their mistake. Chafik is arrogant, abrasive, and deceptive. Do not use this company! read more
