I was hoping to have a better reason to give a positive review, but instead never made it that far with Pro Appliance. I called Pro Appliance for authorized service on our LG refrigerator. They asked where I lived and I told them Oakdale. The woman said we are in their service area, and quoted a price of $75 for the diagnostic which would be deducted from the repair cost (estimated at $400) for the linear compressor replacement (still under warranty by LG). The woman took some more information down, then proceeded to inform me we are not in their service area, thus the service call will be $95. I immediately said that was fine, but then she explained it will not be deducted from our repair cost. The distance from Pro Appliance to our rental in Modesto is 44.8 miles and within the coverage area. The distance from Pro Appliance to our Oakdale home is 44.6 miles. What kind of nonsense is it to charge $95 extra for the same distance? I'll be glad to update my review when Pro Appliance doesn't try to scam me for an extra, unwarranted fee. read more

The worst customer service experience i have ever encountered. No communication at all! Rude staff! If you would like to be treated like a pos this is your place! Or if you want to wait for 8 hours and have no one show up for your scheduled appointment this is the place for you! If you want to be hung up on while speaking call them! I may change this rating if the service changes, but my experience thus far has been frustrating. I called on a Wednesday (11/6/19) and was told no one could come till Monday (11/11/19). The technician (NOT Victor) arrived, went through a checklist ensuring the machine had power, etc. After a short period, I was told, "We think it's the starter. We'll order the part." I asked to be called when they knew the ETA - never got that call. Today (11/13/19 - a week since my initial call) I was told the part ETA is Monday (11/18/19). I asked if we could schedule an appointment NOW for two days after the ETA and was told NO. And that it would likely be 5 days after the part arrives (really 6 days) before they could come out to install this part. So, that falls on a weekend, therefore the soonest they can come is Monday, 11/25/19. Let's see if it even fixes the problem...almost 3 weeks without a dryer is hard. Really poor customer service to this point - should've called Osborne's. read more

I would honestly love to say that this is a good company, or that management or victor would follow up with a concern, but they did not. Upon having our issue not fixed, when a new appointment was booked, it was then cancelled. Changed our day to wait for them. Called asking about it, they put the blame on Sears. Told us the next appointment was a week away. We called Sears got a same day appointment. I asked the receptionist to connect with management, she refused. Then she called back after we called Sears to say they had a cancellation (honestly wish I could remember her name, because I fear she is the root of the problem with this company) Cameron cane out. Nice guy. Said he could order a part, but then said "honestly, with all the problems we've had, the part would more then likely not fix it, and it could be a lemon law issue". After 2 years having multiple problems with our washer Cameron's words were perfect. Now to what I believe is the receptionist issue. We called Sears to see about the replacement, because at this point we've been with out a washer for over two weeks. Apparently, we cussed at the receptionist lady and refused for Cameron to fix the product. It was like "ex-squeeze me?" Granted we were hot with the company for canceling our appointment, and for the receptionist to refuse to get us a lead to help us with the problem, considering we just had their technician out a week prior who did not fix the problem that Sears hired them to fix, but then to lie and say I swore at her and also indicate Cameron said something different when filing the report? Um, no. I would live for victor to call us back to see what is up with falsifying a report. What words did I use with said receptionist? Yeah, swearing is fun, but it's not my thing. Especially because I work in a field we're I can get yelled at for something out of my control, so I refuse to let my anger get the best of me. Shame on your staff victor. read more

Hello Victor. This is Richard, the customer who left a negative review recently about being charged $75 for a service call, that my handyman already remedied. To the best of my memory, this was on either June 2nd or the 9th. Pro appliance was contacted by River Drive Properties to inspect a refrigerator at 1799 Glen Ave. The technician arrived maybe 3 or 4 hours later and was told by the tenant, it was fixed. We made several attempts to cancel the service call but were only able to leave messages on the voicemail. Had a water leak that seemed to come from under washing machine. Pro appliance said water was due to washer door not closing properly. I told him that couldn't be possible because the water to washer was turned off and washing machine had not been used for about two weeks. Then I, yes I, thought it could be my water heater which was nearby but out of the house. The water heater was leaking not the washing machine. I solved the problem but paid $ 120.00. I do not recommend this service provider. read more

Had my dishwasher repaired today by Victor. He was friendly, honest and an amazing technician. He quickly and easily fixed the problems AND helped me troubleshoot some issues with my oven and stove top (didn't fix anything - just told me how I might be able to do it myself!) Prices are reasonable - especially compared to other appliance repairs I've had in the past. Recommend highly! read more

Pro Appliance was at my home today to fix 3 appliances. The young man that arrived went right to work checking things out and was able to diagnose what was wrong with all 3. He was very professional and explained what he found wrong. This was after I had another appliance repair company come to my home and found only one problem. I called Pro Appliance this morning to have my electric dryer repaired. The lady who answered took my name, address, and phone number. She promised that her repairman, Victor, would arrive between 4 and 6pm. She told me to expect a phone call when Victor was on his way. I waited until 5:50pm before calling Pro Appliance to make sure Victor was still coming. No answer. I left a message. Then I waited until 6:45pm before giving up on anyone showing up. While Victor might have taken on an earlier repair that took much longer than expected, there is simply no excuse for someone not calling me to reschedule. Very unprofessional! Then there is John he has been at my home several times for different appliances and is extremely courteous he will call you about 30Mins prior to your scheduled repair. My microwave stopped working so I contacted Pro Appliance on Yelp. They responded right away, checked to see if parts were still available (since it was an older model) and told me to bring in. They were prompt and friendly, and called me with an estimate within two hours. They had it repaired within an hour. They were wonderful. read more

Oct 10 2020 Scheduled a technician at Pro appliance repair to fix my washer at 10am to 2 pm, he arrived at 2.55 pm. He checked the washer so many times and I shouldn't have trusted him, he said oh there's nothing wrong with it, he made me sign that he checked and nothing's wrong and I paid $69 for nothing. The next day I washed some clothes and the same problem happened, clothes still wet I have to hand squeezed the water off, so I called Pro appliance people the next day and a man answered this time and said, you signed it's ok, no empathy very bad customer service, and the technician came late and he didn't know how to fix my washer, they don't deserve any stars. I called Sears Maintenance and their technician know how to fix my washer and have better customer service... read more

Came early, worked hard on my washing machine. Of course the horrible noise it made before didn't happen, but the other noise was audible. Offered a quote for repairs and advice to use it until it dies. Since the machine is older, I chose that option. Cameron-the tech-was very nice and professional. Do not use this company. Unfortantely, LG recommended this company to fix my 2.5 year old refrigerator. A young technician came out last Wednesday, paid 100 "to diagnose" he ordered a 70+ tax part, a fan, stated labor was 150.00. I agreed and paid same day since I wanted to fix my refrigerator, 339.00 at the end of the visit. He told us he would get back to us on an ETA of the part including schedule an appt for installation of the fan the following week. Never received a call, till my husband called the following Monday to see what was going on. We were told Wednesday a technician would be out to install the fan. Same young technician arrived, installed the fan, put together the refrigerator, he then told us give it about 24 hrs the refrigerator will start to work again, start producing cool air. Next day 24 hrs later didn't work, no cool air, also he didn't put together the water filter correctly it kept falling apart. 339.00 dollars later MY refrigerator DOES NOT WORK, he stated it now needed another part that would cost 180+tax, plus additional labor fees, horrible company. He spoke to his boss "the part won't be in for another 6-8 months, and they don't order thru third party companies." Don't use this company! read more

Great local company! Purchased a refrigerator and got same day delivery and installation. They took the broken fridge away for free! Sadly, the brand new fridge I bought didn't work. I went back the next day and they replaced it with an upgraded model and delivered it later that day for no charge! Outstanding professional service! I'll shop at Pro Appliance for all my needs! They're located at the edge of Merced on Motel Drive, but definitely worth checking out if you need a large appliance. read more

I had the unfortunate opportunity to use Pro Appliance through my home warranty company to repair my dishwasher. Pro Appliance's repairman came out to repair one issue and as a result of poor workmanship this resulted in 3 secondary repair issues. Now here I am the evening before Thanksgiving preparing to host dinner for a house full of guests with my dishwasher full of water, and discovered the hose under my sink is significantly leaking because it was not connected properly. I called Pro Appliance a women representative stated no one could come out until Monday. She also implied that I should do a better job at testing out the repair for issues. She conveyed a sincere lack of concern to say the least. I have wasted time working with this company as well as time off work to meet the contractor. I would NOT recommend this company. read more

Terrible service. Terrible communication. The guy that came out to our house was very nice but didn't stop to tell us a price, even when asked to stop. He went ahead and checked our dryer and proceeded to charge us $100 when we never agreed to it. He stated he was not informed it was a vent cleaning and he didn't have the tools or time for that. The service was supposed to be for a vent cleaning and that was what the work order stated. We then talked to our landlord and they agreed the work order was in fact to clean a vent. We then called the office to try and understand why WE were charged since their service that was on the work order was not done. And they were VERY rude and said their work order said for a broken dryer and there was nothing that can be done since we already paid and wanted to know why we are just now calling about this (we called only 3 hours later after we spoke to our landlords). Nothing got resolved, we are now down $100 for a service that was never performed. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. I would give 0 stars if it would let me. read more

I went into the store to get a gasket for my Frigidaire dishwasher. I told the girl exactly what I needed and showed her a picture of the model number of the dishwasher. She told me the price. I asked her to write the information down and the price ($75.27 {before tax}) so I can give the info to my husband for him to order the part. At first I was told the part will be in the next day, I said ok. I gave the info to my husband and he ordered the part using the information I was given, with tax it was $81.29. The part did not come in the next day like we were told, it took 2 days. They called him when the part came in. When he brought it home it didn't look like the part we needed. He called them to let them know that the part is wrong. But because my husband opened the bag they would not take the part back though it was their mistaken information. My husband ordered another gasket hopefully it will fit this time. They would not just give us the new part for their mistake, but charged us additional $16.20. I will never go to that store again. read more

We called Pro Appliance because our dishwasher wasn't working. I was greeted with and friendly voice and she promptly set up and explained the service call. I immediately received a text message confirming my upcoming appointment. I also received a text reminder the day prior as well as when my tech, Cameron was on his way. When Cameron arrived he was professional and friendly. He quickly got to work and within the hour he had the problem identified and the price to fix it. Although we are opting to replace it instead of repair it, we can highly recommend Pro Appliance and we will continue to use them in the future. P.S. NEVER buy Samsung appliances, we've had nothing but problems with them and hear that from a lot of people. read more

No one showed up so at 255 I called to be told the technician was on lunch. Understandable. But I asked out of courtesy, they don't call to tell you that technician would not be there in the time frame given... AND HER RESPONSE WAS.... WE HAVE OTHER/BETTER things to do than to call people and advise. Say nomore. Not what you say it's how you say it. Due to that reason most likely won't use them again. read more

Wonderful service! Everything went perfectly smoothly from start to finish -- the front desk staff were friendly and professional and scheduled my appointment for a 2 hour window, the technician actually showed up within that 2 hour window (imagine that!), and fixed the problem with my dishwasher in about 15 minutes flat. My only issue with Pro Appliance was that their schedule was a bit full, so I had a hard time finding an appointment time that worked with my admittedly busy schedule, but they're busy for a reason and that reason is that they are GOOD. read more

I purchased a refrigerator about 3 months ago 2 days after the warranty was over,my fridge lower went out, I called Annette at Pro appliance and she got someone out same day , Victor from Pro Came removed a motor from the unit, Returned pretty quick with the new motor, did some internal steaming of the unit placed the new motor and Woolah..... Our dishwasher door suddenly crashed to the floor one day so we called Pro Appliance and quickly arranged for a service person to check out the problem. Alex let us know when he was on his way and arrived on time. He was super efficient and quickly determined the source of the problem. Shortly after leaving he was able to call and let us know the cost of replacement parts and when they would arrive. They actually arrived earlier than expected and Alex was able to fix the dishwasher door sooner than we anticipated. Watching Alex, we could see what a great work ethic he has. It was a pleasure to have him repair our appliance. If we ever need work on other appliances, we would definitely ask for Alex. read more
