I came here on a Monday afternoon in late August for microdermabrasion. The full price was $150 which you're supposed to tip on. I tipped a little above 15% on Zelle. Since I paid using ClassPass, it came out to about $52 instead. Parking was super easy - they have a private lot in the back. The procedure had an extraction process before the microdermabrasion. The only down side was their finishing SPF moisturizer had almonds. Since I'm allergic to almonds, I couldn't have it and they didn't have a different kind of moisturizer. She told the owner, since I was the 3rd client she's had that had the same allergy, but has still not received the new moisturizer since their Beverly Hills office was so busy. Other than that, the entire experience was nice. Samara gave me tips on how I can improve my skincare routine and improve my skin complexion. She made me very comfortable and even gave me a gentle head and neck massage. Instead of the moisturizer, she gave put vitamin C serum with hyaluronic acid instead. read more

The location looks like a little house and is super cozy inside. Queena, who I think is the main esthetician there, is a literal facial angel! I had a wonderful first time experience at Privileged Pasadena Spa! First, let me mention the location is so incredibly awesome. I love that it is converted home and the way they decorate make you feel so comfortable upon entering. There is a small parking area behind the spa that is shared with neighbors (a couple homes). I found parking easily but imagine if the place was busy you might have to park residentially. Stephanie was the esthetician that did my facial and she was very polite, and knowledgeable on the services. She did mine first which took 50-60 minutes then did his facial. We took advantage of their promo on MyHownd for the Light and Bright facial which included Deep cleanse, Enzyme exfoliation, Microdermabrasion, Extractions, mask and moisturizer. I had to wait OUTSIDE of the place for 25min until someone opened the door. My facial did not start until 30min after. Did not receive any advanced notification. It is usual for appointments to start late beer, last time I waited over 15min. Being on time is important for clients, so get a receptionist or at least get a doorbell. read more

I bought a deal threw an email I received for the Pasadena location. I called to schedule an app for my friend and I. I spoke with Brian who was absolutely amazing! He was very friendly and helpful, he booked our appointments. Unfortunately for me we were a little tardy. Actually about 20 minutes late. My Aesthetician was Queena (I believe that was her name). She was a very nice young lady! She walked me threw the facial step by step.... maybe because I was late I felt my facial was SUPER RUSHED. I even finished about 20-30 minutes before my friend and we started at the same time. I guess it was my fault for being late. When I was done she had someone waiting on her. I added the red LED light for an additional $30. When I asked how long would I be under the light she said normally 10-15 minutes but since we were short on time I'd just get 10 minutes but before the 10 minutes were up she'd moved on to the next step. I had the most amazing facial with Samara recently. I purchased a Groupon for a signature facial with extractions. I had never been here before or heard anything about it one way or another. So, the building itself is just darling, it's a charming old house, that happens to be about 75 yards from The Hat! Make sure to grab yourself lunch while you're out. Anyway, the house is so super cute. It's immaculate too. It's the sort of place that could be on the historic preservation committee list, and it might be for all I know. So Samara walks me back to the treatment room and it's pretty standard, but the chaise lounge/chair thing is super plush and comfy, more than most! Samara is an absolute sweetheart who gave me one of the best facials I've ever had. The products she used smelled soooo good, and they felt great on my skin. She did a terrific job on the extractions, e.g.: getting all of the goopy gunk out of my pores and also a nice, light massage on my neck and shoulders. Afterward, my skin looked and felt radiant and amazing!!! Initially, I was a bit unhappy about a scheduling problem that came up at the very last minute and canceled on me. It was perfectly understandable, but I was unhappy anyway. I WAS happy about the upgrade provided as a result however. She added on a $50 service of micro exfoliation. I really want to like it. I made an appointment for 2 people for a facial, and when we got there, the aestheticians were still at lunch and hadn't returned. Then we were told they got into a fender bender and needed to cancel us. They offered an "extra" service if we would reschedule . We did. The location in Pasadena is in a former home, and off a very busy street ( Lake Ave). The windows were left open in the treatment room, so that made for a very loud sound of traffic and cars. They also had construction going on for the driveway, so I heard the banging and the conversation of the construction workers. I even mentioned that I could hear the conversations he was having on the phone , cuz he placed them on speaker. Not very considerate of your customer to book loud repairs during a client appointment, nor the noise of outside. It wasn't very relaxing. Then my aesthetician would not do the facial peel offered to me and told me I had to come back another time. My daughter DID get the peel, so I don't understand why she was good for it, and I was not. She had No soothing music in her room and since she was right next to the office, heard all of the phone calls and those conversations that took place. Ps. I did not smell a skunk, but a few candles would have disguised it and you could have closed the windows. Regarding the actual service. It was for microdermabrasian and a facial. I am pretty sure it was less than 60 minutes, and It didn't seem. Like any facial happened, outside of ultraViolet light. Lesson learned- Do not do Groupon any more. I just got a facial at this location and I was very pleased with my treatment. I had a microdermabrasion which left my skin looking very clean and glowing. This place is very very cute. It's decorated with rustic woods, succulents and candles. The facial rooms are all really cute and cozy and I loved the cozy blanket. I went to the appointment and of course the place was closed with no one there. According to Google it wasn't even suppose to open for hours. I love how quaint and homey this place is. It has a boutique vibe with high end touches. I can't tell you how excited i am to have a Beverly Hills experience without the horrible drive and madness of a Beverly Hills salon. I felt catered to and well taken care of. I had a professional facial and loved that they offered add on's for a low rate of 25 extra per request. I had the Diamond microdermabrasion added to my service to polish my face and neck. I have some mixed feelings as I write this review. First, it was a bit difficult to get in touch with the business to make an appt as the voicemail was usually full and couldn't leave a message but after some digging realized that the best place is on their website. Even after making an appt for Monday, I noticed Yelp said it was closed Monday so I was worried they wouldn't be open after driving all the way. Tried calling again and couldn't reach anyone so decided to take a chance to go. So I purchased a Groupon for a signature facial with extractions AND a back facial. I was told when I got there that it was one or the other but not both. Whichever I chose, then I would need to make another paid appt for the other. I was ok with choosing one but honestly, that is not what the Groupon stated so you're not quite honoring what you offered. The person was really nice and friendly but maybe it was bc I was a "Groupon" customer but I know that my session was definitely less than an hour and she was already telling me she could hear her next client. Again, while she was really nice, the service felt like she just quickly went through the motions to be done. I would like to start by sharing with you all my first experience at Privileged Spa!! As soon as I walked in, the ambience felt welcoming, and relaxing! Nice music playing in the background and a sense of quiet and relaxation! ...the staff was nice and accommodating! I, was greeted with a smile and offered to drink either glass of water with lemon or a glass of red or white wine! Soon after I was taken back to the treatment room for my facial services. The esthetician was thorough in explaining what she was going to do as far as treatments on my face! what products were going to be applied! I was in HEAVEN!! I found this place on Groupon $32.50 for 60mins Diamond microdermabrasion with ultrasonic. I believe I had Asia. They called me 15mins before my appointment to tell me they were running 15mins behind, no bigger my friend and I chit chatted. Then I was cheated 15min, my facial was only 45mins and the extraction she did I could have done at home. I definitely won't be coming back and warn you not to come either.
