I'm a huge fan of this place & everyone in my academy seem to agree. As soon as you walk in there is someone there asking if they can help you & all the workers know exactly what is needed to make your uniform complete. They can also have uniform alterations rushed if need be. The staff also remembers who you are! They aren't as big as galls or pnp but that's why their able to give such great service and they always have wtv you need. They also have someone on site that shines your gear! A lot of my classmates take their boots and duty belts there and the guy does a great job. PS. This is the only uniform shop that stays open till 6:30 which is perfect if you need something for the next day at the academy! read more

I dropped my sweater off to have one patch and name embroidered, they said it would take two weeks. After two weeks no call. I call and they say it's being worked on and if I wanted the name embroidered directly on to the sweater which should have been asked when dropped off, they said it will be available the next day. I call to verify if it's ready to be picked up the girl is rude saying it's not ready and should have taken longer and doesn't know why it had been rushed... RUSHED? It's already been two weeks!!! I am high on customer service!!! I was never rude and understood they were busy and it was gonna take two weeks. Never going there again!!! read more

I called to see if they had an in-house seamstress. They said they did. I asked if they could sew on a cloth name tape onto my war bag. I already have the name tape, I just need it sewn on. She said it would take 1 1/2 weeks! I asked if there was any way I could stop by and wait for it and they can do it real quick. ( I had this done before at another uniform store and it literally took 4 mins!) She said no, that they were busy with academy stuff coming in! I have never been denied service, especially for something this easy and simple. It's sad to see this type of service especially from a cop shop. I've visited numerous other uniform stores and their response would have been, " Sure, swing by and we can do it for you real quick." I should have figured this was going to be the case, with all their NEGATIVE reviews on yelp! I wonder how long this place is going to survive with service like this? read more

Worst service ever!!! I e no idea if the girl was scared cuz the customers where cops or what! But I went in to get a uniform for my nephew, and there was no one there so she helped us. The min these 2 guys walk in she completely forgot about us. What was suppose to take 15 min took 1 hour! And the owner just walked by like lalala let her take care of you. Oh oh and this girl comes up to us and asks "what can I help you with" so we tell her and she says "well I'm on break, but u can tell her what u need" I got so mad! I mean why ask if you aren't gonna help! And then the last straw cuz honestly I was pissed by the end I was there waiting for her to finish helping is all I needed to do was pay, and she turns around and starts to help another person that walks in. This time I did tell her something. It's a small store she was the only one I talked to. There is no way she could have forgotten about us! We where the only 2 ppl she didn't want to help. I guy I work with told me about this new uniform store in Rancho he went to last Saturday night. He said: the store was nicely laid out like a ikea store...lol...think he was trying to say "it was modern and very clean". He also said: "they treated me like I wore brass, even tho I went in around 5pm right before they closed, prices were completive and turn around time for tailored uniforms were 2 days. I thought to myself, well...just from that statement I know he wasn't taking about Greenwoods/ Gear you up or GALLS cause for one he said: "late Saturday night and they treated me like I wore brass". Greenwoods and Galls closes at 2pm on Saturdays. Greenwoods/ Gear you up, well to say the very least treats you like your an inconvenience and I remember him saying 2 day turnaround for tailored uniforms and that was on a Saturday night. Galls was out of the question, there turnaround time is more like 2 weeks! That only left "Cop Town". I asked him the new uniform store was Cop Town? He said $H!t NO!!! He told me a story about a class A uniform he had tailored there before and long story short. After he got back his pants, his pant crease now lined up to his crotch area and looked like he was wearing a diaper. He told me to "google it". The staff is friendly and very helpful, wait times are reasonable and it can only be expected they do their best with their vendors. This day started bad and ended up great with the help of management from this company. My boyfriend took his boots to get shined at prestine uniforms. He took them in on a Saturday morning and was told he could pick them up later that day. He is a recruit officer with LAPD and needed them that day so he could use them for Monday since this store is closed Sunday. He was on his way to pick them up and he realized that he was not going to make it before they close. He called the lady in the store and begged her to stay open an extra five minutes. She told him no, and that she was closing the doors at 5:00 pm. He arrived at 5:05 to find closed doors and became panicked that he was not able to get his boots. I on one hand completely understand that this was our fault for not realizing they close earlier. But I was very disappointed in the employee for not just waiting 5 extra minutes to help someone in need out. So I went on Yelp and found a link that says message business. ****This is where the review becomes 5 stars***** I emailed them, and within 20 minutes the owner of the business Mike called my personal cell phone. He was extremely apologetic that his employee would not wait. He then proceeded to tell me that he was going to be there on Sunday for inventory and that if my boyfriend was willing he would open the doors to allow him to get his boots. THANK GOD for Mike!! My boyfriend was on his way to buy a new pair of boots for $165 and we would have spent all day polishing them. The next morning Mike met my boyfriend at the shop and made our stress disappear. I am so thankful I was able to get a hold of him and that he was able to help us. We made a silly mistake by not getting there in time but Mike fixed it. That is an example of a good business owner. It started off with me never wanting to come back. But now because of that I will always be a customer. All though I was disappointed in one of the employees , I was thoroughly impressed with the management which is what matters when it comes to a business. So because of Mike, we did not have buy a new pair of boots or risk my boyfriend losing his brand new job with LAPD. Mike is an example of a good person who did a great service. All though it may have seemed like no big deal to him to allow my boyfriend to get his boots. It made the world of a difference for my boyfriend and myself. Service is poor. Do not expect to get your uniforms altered and patches put on quickly. Usually takes over a week to sew patches on the uniform. If there is an academy upcoming you can expect three weeks to get a uniform finished. Academies come first. I tried get some patches put on a polo shirt. They told me it would take a week. 2 1/2 weeks later they still tell me my shirts aren't ready. read more

I have been a customer at Pristine since my department gave them the contract. In the beginnig the customer service was great, and the uniforms fit as expected. Over the past couple years I have had nothing but problems, not with the front store employees but the seamstresses sewing my uniforms to a substandard condition. The quality is terrible. I have had to take my uniforms to the dry cleaners to get fixed. I never get my uniforms back in a timely manner. Some of the recent issues included a longsleve that the sleeves were sewn so tight, I couldn't get my hands through the opening. In my most recent order they didn't do any alterations and called me two weeks later to pick them up. I had to get refitted for a second time and I'm still waiting for a phone call. I also don't like the fact that the store is always so hot especially the dressing rooms. I'm going to try LA police gear for my next purchase. read more
