Kirin came by to do the work, and you can tell he really enjoys his craft - he was meticulous and took his time to get everything just right. They redid the counter flashing, cleaned and sealed both chimneys, replaced spalling bricks, applied Crown Coat, installed new stainless steel rain caps, and replaced a window flashing. They also repaired window trim bricks to coordinate with my window replacement, and gave me a very good price for that extra work. Everything was done on schedule, and the work looks fantastic. Had no trouble making an appointment and he came and looked at the chimney and fireplace and said, basically, "yep, everything's good. You don't need it cleaned." He was apparently (I wasn't there, this is hearsay) very nice and when asked how much we owed him for the service stop he said we didn't owe him anything. So, my recommendation is that you call this guy and have him service your chimney and you will know that if he's doing the work, you really need it.
