My floors look new, and now closely match the color to the connecting hallway. Everything is cohesive. Regrettably, I made the mistake of hiring my contractor (now former!) to previously refinish the same four floors. They made a mess. Fast forward, this team fixed the rough spots and welts, and, left nothing underneath the poly (e.g., brush hair, knee pad prints, etc.). AJ is a testament to flooring being a specialty, just as plumbing and electrical are. (Tip: All flooring services charge for moving furniture, as I discovered while getting initial quotes. So if you want to save a few hundred dollars, have family and friends help you move furniture before and after the refinishing job.) I personally will use this team going forward for my flooring needs.

He was also very reasonably priced. Phil and his team did a phenomenal job sanding down our existing wood floors, which were heavily scratched, and applying a beautiful new stain and finish, they truly look brand new. What really set Phil apart was his flexibility and commitment to customer satisfaction. When I asked him to come back to address a couple of very minor touch-ups, he didn't hesitate at all. He returned promptly, didn't charge an extra cent, and made it clear that his priority was making sure I was completely happy. Everyone worked hard - from the time they walked in until the time they left. The quote was great and inside the budget we'd allowed and we got a ton more than we expected - broken boards replaced, boards that had been replaced with the wrong wood were removed and redone with the correct, matching wood, a couple of boards that didn't lay completely flat were repaired, and so on. But the finished floors were the star of the show! The floors look new. Not repaired, not improved - NEW. We have a long house, and you can see a huge expanse of wooden flooring from one end to the other, and the effect is now gorgeous. We are entirely happy and we got exactly what we'd hoped for. We recommend Max and Luxe Flooring 100% and would use them without hesitation on any further refinishing projects.
