Parking situation: Can get really rough. They don't have much space. I came in to get a rental suit altered with a friend. Their service is quite fast; they do stand by the next-day policy. You're definitely paying for it though. It cost me $72 to get a suit jacket and pants altered to get the sleeve length and leg lengths correct (so just some pinning), along with a steam clean. For reference, other cleaners in West Houston will do it for half of that. To their credit, they messed up the jacket sleeve length and did fix it for me within another day and got both lengths perfect the second time around. So, they're worth their word. Just really pricey. read more

Prism Cleaners - Outside - Dry Cleaning Near Me - Houston, Texas

Always friendly, Always professional, Always courteous! I have been pleased with this shop for several years.

This is the best cleaners in Houston. They never make mistakes. Have quality people working here and all of the clothes come out perfectly. Never lost anything in 12 years. I highly suggest it read more

Prism is a terrific dry cleaner. The people who work there never miss treating their customers well.

Worst local cleaners ! Ruined two sweaters of mine and could not remove stain from other that was readily removed at cross the street cleaners. Staff friendly when you drop off but rude and unresponsive when you have an issue or complaint ! read more

I have now used Prime Cleaners twice, and the service and quality was excellent both times. Even better, they took my 50% off coupons each time. They don't limit coupons to first time customers. My $6.25 bill (which is a decent price) came out to $3.58 with tax. Not bad for a tunic style women's dress shirt. Thank you, Prime Cleaners! I will be back. :) Tip: Actually look at the back of your HEB grocery store receipt to save some change! read more

Took a formal, long dress for dry cleaning. They had it done same day, and fixed a broken piece on the dress without me having to even ask. Great staff and wonderful dry cleaning. 10/10 read more

This place has the worst customer service. Particularly the lady who works in the front with the blond and black hair that says she is the manager. Always very rude and snippy with me. For instance, I called and asked what the time cut off was for same day pick up. She told me 9am. I arrived around 8:55 and she gives me an attitude and smart remarks. Going back and forth with me as a customer. This is not the first time I've had to encounter her terrible attitude. I asked for a refund and will never be returning. read more

The adage goes: "Cheap, Fast, Good. Pick two." This especially seems the case with cleaners. Prism is a solid choice, however. Over about 15 years of visiting, they are the best I have found in all three areas. They do a good job and have never ruined anything or left items dirty and covered in residue as others have. They are not the cheapest, but not exorbitant either. The price is fair. Some things that would make a nicer experience, but not deal-breakers: same-day service, 24 hour drop off, not having to remind them of my name every time, and not being required to pay before service every time. read more

I first went to Prism Cleaners more than two years ago after a friend recommended it to me--pre-Yelp for Farrah, of course. And since then, they've been *my* cleaners. Take anything in and it's only $1.99. I'm talking that $10 Forever 21 frock or your $300 BCBG gown ... or if you're a dude, sport coats, slacks, etc. Today when I picked up my dress, I was extremely content to find that they got a food stain that has been setting in my dress that another cleaners "tried" to get out. (West Gray Cleaners. I had no knowledge of this. My friend did me a solid and dropped my stuff off there. I would've never cheated on Prism!) Oooh, and your clothes are ready the next day. Not only that, service is friendly and I don't remember ever seeing a line there ... at least on weekdays. read more

Went in Thursday to drop off my comforter, never been here and it's a couple minutes from my apartment, was quoted 35, my bf went to pick it up and he was under the impression I paid and instead of being nice the lady said "she absolutely did not" and said the total was 42$ not 35. He had the ticket saying what I was quoted and when my bf said the ticket says this price she gave attitude and said well whoever did it put it in wrong. It's not a money issue but I agreed to the price they originally gave me and that's a management issue not the customers to pay the difference, all in all if she wasn't so rude they would be no problem and We'd happily pay the difference, but unprovoked attitude is a no, lol do better Priam cleaners, won't be coming back and will tell everyone to avoid this place read more

Only come here because it's one of the few places that clean in-house and do same day cleaning. However the front desk staff, one lady in particular, is always short and rude in her communication. I try to avoid coming here unless I really need something cleaned same day. read more

I have nothing but praise for Prism Cleaners. They have fair prices, never fail to greet me by name and are open at very convenient times. The owners are always on site to help with any issues and they now take credit cards in addition to cash and checks. Just one example of their commitment to customer service is when I recently received back one of husband's custom made shirts and it had a tear in it. The owner of Prism kindly agreed to give us a $25 credit - no haggling, no weirdness. Just great customer service. Last of all, I like being able to recycle my wire hangers there. read more

About the only drawback here is the parking. I can usually find a place but you have to be careful since other people tend to drive too fast in such a small area. Other than that this has to be the best cleaners in the area. Reasonable prices, quick turnaround, and haven't had any issues (knock on wood) with clothes I have given. Even though the drop off area is small and get seem to get packed, I've never waited long. They are pretty efficient and move the line quickly. Even if you don't know exactly what's best for your clothes they can make a decent recommendation but still better to know what you need done before you go in. Good laundry, good location, no issues, can't ask for more. read more

I've been going here since they opened. Their quality is fantastic and consistent. The employees are very nice and always happy to see me! You must go here! read more

We became customers when we moved into the neighborhood a couple of years ago. We followed them when they moved from Westheimer to Shepherd. I'm VERY happy with their service and the results- and the prices! I've also had them do some basic alterations and they did a great job. Highly recommend. read more

Prism Cleaners never fails to impress! This is probably my 8th year coming here, and I've always had great service. I've brought all sorts of clothing here, like dresses, party wear, suits, silk blouses, even blankets. I get my whole family's clothes cleaned here. The cleaning service is fantastic with quick turnaround. The manager is very friendly, and the staff is very helpful. Prices are the most reasonable in the area, and it's a super convenient location. Almost time for spring cleaning, so I'll be sure to bring those clothes I need to pack away for the season. Great prices with great service! read more

I've taken my suits here for cleaning 3-4 times and every time it comes out looking good, even after a few times when I was dancing at a wedding (and getting the suit really dirty). I did have some pajama pants hemmed up, and that's the reason why it's not a 5 star review. The fabric is obviously stretchy, but for some reason, they used regular thread which keeps breaking. It was cheaper than a tailor, but I'm going to have to take the pants to a tailor to get them fixed after a while. read more

I have been going to Prism Cleaners for a little over a year now 2021-2022. They are quick in cleaning your clothes. My main issue is with a women at the front desk named Ms.Fany. As anyone knows many times when laundering mens dress shirt which is all ironed by a machine sometimes the bottom of the sleeve gets caught in some machinery and gets dirty. This has happened in many different places so it's no exclusive to Prism Cleaners. My issue is that when you take something back to show them that this happened on one shirt out of 20 And to please redo it. Ms. Fany never let's you complete your sentence and always states it your fault. I picked up 20 mens dress shirts all bundled up in plastic. I got home and only one had this machine scuff mark on cuff but apparently it was my fault. I had a 2 silk ladies blouses dry cleaned there on different occasions. One was not properly ironed. I brought it back the same day I picked it up. Ms. Fany immediately stated it was my fault. Then on other occasion they placed a clip at the collar of silk blouse and press the clip right through the other side, silk is a fragile material. Once again that was my fault. I am Not certain how this is my fault as Prism is the one who placed the plastic clip on my blouse. Yet, Ms. Fany always let's you know that the error is never theirs it is always the customers fault! She is rude and truly she should not be working with customers at all. Also the price they advertised to launder mens dress shirts is not what they charge. Change your sign, that's false advertising! Look else where to have your clothes dry cleaned and laundered. read more

Wonderful service, quality and pricing beats all the local cleaners. I have been here several times and will continue to. Thank you, Prism! read more

This place did a really bad job when it came to press function. When I got there for pick up I had to point out two areas where pants were wrinkled. Of course to Prisms defense they did offer to fix it but upon arriving at home and inspecting all 4 pants found many more wrinkles. Its just a bad business experience when you come home and need to re-iron everything. read more

His shirts came great and price was just right. Parking is a little tight. Their service is fast. And printed ticket helps me remember not to throw it away. read more

Trust and you shall find. I ask my Yelp community who where a reasonable price cleaners near the River Oaks area? I had excellent feed back. I was given Prism Cleaners well I had o walk across the street to try them. I totally recommend and will add them to my new dry cleaner place. I admire a company that helps our ecological fight against chemicals and other non Eco-friendly products. I walked in and the big sign .... OK it might not be that big but was big enough to read " we use Eco Friendly Products." I was extremely content with the service and the excellent job they perform by dry cleaning my garments. Thank you to the yelp community I have to say you made this Match in Heaven. read more

My fiancé takes his shirts here so I've had several experiences dropping off or picking up his stuff, but it didn't seem fair to yelp this place until last week when I brought in my own items for dry cleaning. They got the stain out of my dress shirt and returned it looking like new. My skirt and sweater look great as well. Staff is super friendly and has quick turnaround. This is definitely going to be my go-to place. read more

Please take my advice and don't bring your clothes here. Worst dry-cleaners I've ever used. They messed up my suit collar on BOTH the suits I brought in. They left incorrect creases and the pants had a weird texture afterwards as well. After bringing this to the manager's attention, he said he wouldn't refund me and said maybe I could get a discount next time. NEVER coming back again. read more

Bad customer service!!!I had a terrible experience with them. They washed my dry clean only dress and refused to admit to it. I took my never worn, $500 dress to them to get it pressed only. The girl at the font desk, who spoke with an accent, said she may need to clean the dress so it's pressed properly . I told her all I want them to do is to make the pleats look crisp. She said: "don't worry we will do a great job." When I went to pick up the dress, I realized it looked more wrinkled than before. When I questioned them about it, she said: " it looks like the dress was washed before." I explained to her that I took the tag off the dress and brought it to you, so no one has washed this dress before, and she said maybe it's the fabric and she's willing to press it again. I needed the dress for a bridal party and I was going out of town, so I took dress with me hoping that I could get it pressed elsewhere. The second dry cleaners told me that my dress has been washed and the fabric is damaged. I went back to Prism and they refused to pay for damaging my dress or even to admit that they washed my dress by mistake. I'll never go back or take any business to them again and I advise you do the same. They won't take responsibility for their mistakes. All I wanted them to do was to be honest and apologize. Had they done that, I'd be satisfied! read more

I sent in my shirt for laundry service and pressing and it suffered damage to the collar as shown in the picture. I've had this shirt for 6 years, which may be why it got ruined, but on the other hand, here I've been washing it myself for 6 years and not having an issue Edit: my wife has kept coming here and the service is friendly and they haven't damaged anything else, so i bumped it up from 1 to 3 stars read more

Prism Cleaners - I sent in my shirt for laundry service and pressing and they absolutely ruined it. - Dry Cleaning Near Me - Houston, Texas

I've been taking my dry cleaning here about 3 years. It is a reasonable priced, good quality dry cleaner. Not as good at replacing buttons as I've had in previous towns I've lived in but that attention to detail seems to be going away from this industry anyway. The front desk women are friendly, conversational and most importantly accurate. I haven't noticed any missing items over the years. All in all, great service at a reasonable price. read more

I will be switching my regular cleaners to here. I have 2 cats, on top of getting clothes clean I would like the clothes to look as much as possible without fur. This is hard there is usually at least one stray hair. My clothes looked new. The owner carried out my clothes to my car. Great service and wonderful cleaning. read more

See the photo. I asked Prism to take this vest in. The first time they failed to take it in enough, barely touched it and charged more than $30. Then it was as if they were angry and wanted to teach me a lesson. They taught me all right. I learned I will never return to Prism Cleaners and will share this with everyone I know. Stupidly, I had forgotten my wife also had a terrible experience with some pants she had altered there. This vest is a full THREE INCHES shy of my being able to ever button it again. It's beyond absurd. read more

They've messed up two of my very expensive shirts. Not willing to take any responsibility. Had been going there for 4 years but have decided to look elsewhere read more

Too expensive. The 3 stars are for the service which is pretty timely and good. But their prices are far higher than others.

So far, I have nothing but kind things to say about this business. Prism cleaners really cares about maintaining customer relationships and doing quality work. Employees greet customers by name and ask questions about clothing to ensure the best possible service. I know things can happen at dry cleaners, like in the reviews I've read below, but so far with prism, my experience has been incredibly positive. Awesome prices, quality work, and friendly staff. I will be using prism for all my dry cleaning for the foreseeable future. read more

I was so impressed with Prism Cleaners. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the prices were extremely reasonable. My dry cleaning was ready within 24 hours. In Seattle, this same service would've cost three times the amount and would've taken about two additional days. I look forward to returning to Prism Cleaners. read more

I have been going to Prism Cleaners for about 2 years, but moved 7 months ago to the Heights. I tried going to a dry cleaner over there, but they ruined a few things so I decided to go back to Prism, even though it is out the way. They are always friendly when you walk in and remember you. They are pricey though, especially for dresses and sweaters. read more

Brought a 1950s wedding dress in. When I got it back after cleaning it was destroyed. Holes throughout the chiffon skirt, and bodice. Buttons were antique with rhinestones inside, half were melted or missing the rhinestones. This was to be my wedding dress. I will never go back and I do not recommend bringing in vintage items for cleaning here. read more

This place was awesome! I've been trying to find a good dry cleaner for a long, long time. The place looks a little sketch when you pull up, but don't let it fool you. I took 10...TEN...pieces to get dry cleaned and after the 15% Yelp discount, I only paid $40.00. They were all slacks, blouses, blazers, and dresses. Last time I took that many items to a dry cleaners, I paid almost $70.00. They were so quick also - I took my clothes in on Saturday morning and they were ready Monday by 5. Everything looked great - no funky smells like some cleaners, or buttons missing, or any of your normal complaints. I will definitely be taking all my business there from now on! read more

Been going here for over a year now. Excellent service , I have no complaints so far. They're always prompt, good prices and I haven't had any issues with my clothes. Plus the ladies at the check in desks are cheerful and friendly which is always nice. Also pretty good hours which helps sometimes. Give this place a shot and you'll likely stick with it. read more

The poor dry cleaning at Prism Cleaners is what caused me to find my new cleaners, Eagle Express. I had begun taking my clothes to Prism Cleaners because of the good reviews on yelp and the very good prices. I took my clothes there for a few months, but eventually, stopped returning. Without fail, Prism Cleaners destroyed the buttons on all of my suits and dress shirts. Sloppy, sloppy work. Good prices aren't worth destroying clothes. It's better than some cleaners (price-wise, anyways), but can't hold a candle to Eagle Express. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else, that is, unless you don't need buttons. read more
