He was given a price of $195 for the tow and ended up invoicing us $848.93. I tried calling them to get a better understanding of their invoicing. They insulted me and then threatened to steal my truck and hold it ransom until payment was made with additional towing fees to be accrued. When they brought the truck to the destination driver demander either a Zelle payment or cash payment (amount $1750 for 50 miles). I asked who can take a payment over the phone with the CC he said no one. I even called the police but they were no help. Truck was taken to their location and the charge in the morning jumped to $2475. Don't use these thieves and liars! This morning someone there told me their CC machine hasn't been working for the last 4 days and there is nothing he can do. What a terrible way to run a business. My testimony: I had a flat tire on my Maserati. I jacked the car and removed the lug nuts. The problem was that the tire wouldn't come off due to a buildup of corrosion. Frustrated, I called a towing company. They said it would cost $65 to come out. I confirmed with them twice that it would cost $65. The mechanic (Aaron I think) kicked the rim twice and it fell off. It literally took less than 2 or 3 minutes max. Then he walked away whispering to dispatch - presumably telling dispatch that this guy has a Maserati so we can possibly get more money. He came back saying that you owe us $220!!! I told dispatch to at least give me more value for the $220. The driver said ok and took my Maserati rim. He said he would take it to the tire store, have them put a new tire on and return it!? My spider-senses told me this didn't sound right - but I went with it. I'm calling the tire shop and they're saying he never showed up!!!??? The idiot manager instructed him to steal my expensive Maserati rim!? WTH?? They wanted the rim so bad that they tried to cancel the $220 amount due in exchange for the rim. The dispatch threatened that if wanted my rim I would have to come to their headquarters an hour away to pay and pick it up. I made the 70 min trip out there. The ignorant manager came out cursing and refused to listen to my complaint. I had to call the Batavia police to mediate the situation. Batavia PD were very professional and helpful btw. They made him return my expensive rim in exchange for the $220 - and to give it to me within 10 minutes. Well to add insult to injury management made me wait an hour and a half for my rim. AVOID! February 23 2021 8:30am I GOT ROBBED in brood day light. By Priority Wrecker Service. So here is my story. I broke down about 10 miles from Volvo with a 16" long broken coolant line with quick attach on both ends. Close to the DPF system. Which I had already removed. Plus I lost some coolant. Since I do most of my own maintenance. I've just went ahead and took it off so there was nothing to do for a different mechanic. But I needed the part and the coolant. I tried to hire an Uber or taxi but they can only pick up at an address. So I had no choice but to call roadside service. This guy came and picked up the broken part and I believe he went to VOLVO took him forever to get back. He brought me the recommended amount of coolant 12 gallons. And he brought me TWO new coolant lines which I had only ordered ONE. But hey they can't be that much. He charged me For service call $195.00 x 3 hours=$585.00 plus a fuel surcharge $96.00 plus 32.00 per gallon of coolant x 12 = $384.00 plus TWO coolant lines $81.87 each = $163.74 grand total $1229.64 after questioning the total he added a convenience Fee of $57.93 The next bill was $1287.57 So I called VOLVO for the price on the hose and the coolant. Yes you guessed it US$47 for the hose and about 12 bucks for the coolant per gallon. So the guy probably paid VOLVO less than 200 bucks. Be careful they record the conversation and then try to justify the lies. We were specific about our location and were billed for 42 miles on a 13 mile tow. This was after I was being billed for 10 miles more. Very, very shady company. They even told me they were out of Glendale Heights when they are out of Morris, b/c they new we were deceived and thought we had another company coming out. This was all due to a Google Ad. I needed a tow and thought I was contacting Mighty Towing (a great company), however I got Priority by mistake. Capital MISTAKE!!! My car was towed 15 miles, with a charge of $420.42. Lets be fair and say they drove 15 miles to get to my car. (30 miles all in @ $14/mile is unexceptable) I was not provided a quote, again my MISTAKE... It's a Honda Civic not a semi truck. He said he came to fix it and that the driver didn't need a tow. He proceeded to take parts off the truck. Then left to get parts. He came back without the parts and he couldn't fix it. Then says driver needs a tow. (well duh!) Now, they send a tow truck, tow the truck 19 miles. Charged the driver $3,844.50. Yep, do the math. That's $202.32 per mile since the tow was the only service they actually provided and the only service that was actually requested BUT here's the break down of the bill. Fuel Surcharge $349.50 (Drivers - Do you get this much for a surcharge?) Service Call $1,170.00. (never requested) Tow $2,200.00 (19 miles) Drive shaft removal $125.00 (You could get a monkey to do that.... Well I guess they did!) I found them on NTTS website. I requested a towing service at 7:20 AM for a heavy commercial truck with trailer. They were prompt and got there in about 30 minutes. At 8:44AM they called for payment and send me the bill around 2800$. $750/ hour-- 3 hours charged $255 Fuel surcharge $300 2 cables I told them to be reasonable and that this is way overpriced. They went down to $2296. I told them I will pay $2000 and requested Gps records of their emergency truck so they can prove the 3 hours service garage to garage. They responded "We will not send you anything" Then they requested $1500 payment or they will impound the vehicle. I send them efs check of $1500 and requested a receipt. They did not provide the receipt, because they say they still need $500. I got my motorcycle towed, i asked them 2 times about how much they would charge me after initial mention of about $125 and $4 for each extra mile. After dropping of my bike which was about 1.3 miles from the point they picked up the bike, they raised up the price to $315 now it includes extra straps to harness the bike that i have to pay also they will keep it after they drop the bike. I wish there was a zero star option. This company is the biggest scam I've ran into in my many years of the trucking industry. Needed a load repowered in Morris, IL. Dispatch, Jack, confirms to me that they are located in Morris, IL. Their website also reflects that as well. They quoted us $750.00 an hour for a repowering service in MORRIS, IL, which they were located as they stated. Couldn't imagine a bill being more than $1700. They hold the last pallet on the original truck and send me an invoice for $4300.00. My jaw dropped. They did not disclose they would be leaving their shop in Chicago, IL to come down, nor did they disclose any of the other charges incurred like a 15% fuel surcharge from the total rate. After conversation, the manager decided to take off the $569.00 surcharge. Great, now still $3780.00. My company decided we are going to pay it, needed a second to get the credentials and EFS in order. The dispatch, Jack, was extremely impatient. We told him it would take us about 15 minutes to get it in order, he insisted he stay on the phone, talking to us as if we were not going to pay him. After a brief and polite encounter with my direct manager, who kindly said that there is no need to be hostile in this situation, he pulled the " everyones entitled to how they feel " card. He then proceeded to threaten us with adding another hour onto the bill if we did not hurry up. We were doing everything we could at the moment. They also tried to get us to pay through Cash App, or Zelle. What kind of business uses personal banking apps to make transactions? Tow driver was dispatched at 3:20pm CST and reached the destination of the tow at 5:36pm CST and went 20 miles. When I asked Bill what the additional time was he for, he said " We started billing you from the initial call. " " we are also charging for the time it takes for the driver to pack up his tools and make it back to our yard". Their yard was only 23 miles away. He also charged me $337 for fuel. When I asked him to explain this charge, he said " we charge 15% of the total of the tow for the fuel. Not based on fuel used". The driver also threatened to take the truck when we initially asked about the charges, with a dog inside. The driver also charged my driver an additional $13 for me calling and asking about the charges. This is a pathetic company that is in the business of taking advantage of people.
