Gonna charge 2000.00 for a tow. Saying there was hazmat and it was only power steering fluid on the ground.that was from the other car not the truck.and the truck was drivable and classic towing company still towed the truck. Super friendly dispatcher and driver. They were the only ones I could find in the Chicagoland area with a dolly to tow my one ton 4wd truck so the rear end didn't get screwed up (electrical problems and truck can't get into neutral). Exceptional communication on arrival times as they were sending a driver 80 miles to me. A bit pricey, at $800, but manufacturers warranty paid the bill, so can't blame them with distance. read more

Find out price first I called and scheduled to have a vehicle picked up and brought 57 miles. Kathy on the phone said that they would have it picked up within the hour. I asked her the price and she said she would need to call me back. 3 hours later the tow truck showed up and Kathy called asking where the driver should go. I asked her the price and she said $550. I told her I wouldn't pay that and that I asked her to call me with a price before they shipped the car. She said she would have to talk to her boss and get back to me. Once again she never called and the driver told me she gave me a 10% discount like she was doing me a favor. I ship cars for a living and I would not recommend them period read more

I needed a fully loaded Snap On toolbox moved, their dispatcher told me they do this. Not all towing companies will move a toolbox. We made an appointment, the driver called a day in advance to check a few details, then showed up a few minutes early for the move. He was very courteous, made sure he wasn't blocking traffic at the shop. He had obviously done this before, he had moving blankets and wood blocks to protect my box. He had it loaded and secured very carefully. Dropped it at the house, helped get it in the garage, there was no damage. This is the difference between a professional wrecker operator and some guy with a tow truck. Excellent price too. Anyone complaining about what it costs to have something towed should see how much a rollback wrecker costs, then insurance, drivers wages, license plates and so forth. I called to get a car towed from Naperville il, this tow truck company is also in Naperville Illinois ...the car was getting dropped off at a mechanic shop in Naperville Illinois !!! Lol this was literally a 6 mile ride . The lady tells me usually it's 325 but for you we will give you a discounted rate of $250. Holllllyyyy mother haha ! What a rip off . I told her does that make sense to you guys ??? A 12 minute drive and a 6 mile drive isn't that a bit over priced ?? She says well what'd you expect to pay ? I said 100 is fair for the distance ... OH NO Sir! We can't go that low ... ok no problem thanks ! Two minutes later ANOTHER tow company in Naperville quoted me $109! THANK GOD for the internet ! read more

7:30 am, -5 degrees F. And my battery was dead. Just needed a quick jump start. They were 25 minutes late from the estimated time of 35 min. And then they charge me $125 for a jump start. That's outrageous! These people are crooks. Just find someone else. read more

My power steering pulley and pump completely destroyed by the wonderful Chicago winter weather; called Classic Towing in Naperville for a tow to my auto shop. They answer the phone 24/7 and they're prompt with service. Called at 0545 and they came at 0700 (Which was the closest time). Prices were great-- but nevertheless the customer service and tow got my car where it needed to be to get fixed. read more

I'm only giving one star for two reasons, the first being I had to, the second being that they did tow the car. This company was sent to us by BP Motor club. We were told that it would be about an hour, no problem. We received a call from the driver saying he was three minutes away-that took about another 15 minutes. When he gets there, he tells us he was working with another car. Who cares, but don't lie! During the call he told us he was at the given address and didn't see the car. Here's the big problem. We told both BP and the driver to drop the car at a specific dealership. When we call the dealership the next morning, our car IS NOT THERE!!!! The driver dropped the car to the wrong place. Being that we still had his number in the phone, we called to ask where he took it, and he had the nerve to get offended. We just needed to know where the car was-without a lot of extra fuss. When we called the company, they said that's where he was told to take the car-another lie. Why would we have a car towed to a dealership we have NEVER been to, instead of one that regularly services the vehicle, that is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM WHERE THE CAR WAS LEFT!!!!!! If the driver couldn't remember where to take the car, he should've called, like he did when when he was giving his estimated time. I will never suggest, recommend or use this company. Who knows where your car may end up if the drivers can't follow simple directions and the office believes lies. Terrible way to handle business. read more

Horrible professionalism. I had a flat tire and parked on the shoulder of the expressway. I called this number and was put on hold. The woman on the phone transferred me to another number. She had a lot of attitude. Mind you I only called one number. Whoever picked up must have transferred me to the toll highway authority which is who came to help. The 2 guys were really nice and helped change my tire. As I'm driving away I get a call from Classic Towing. The guy asks where I am and that he cannot find me. I told him I was already assisted. He said "you wasted my time you shouldn't have called 2 numbers and had me come here." I had only called ONE number but classic towing transferred my call to someone else. I was already frustrated that my tire had popped on my way to work, on top of that his customer service stressed me out just as much. I'd rate this -5 if I could. Maybe hire workers who have a better sense of professionalism. read more
