. Picture this: Husband, Very pregnant ,wife and , two kids (one with a pacifier that he should have given up months ago but don't judge me, let's talk about these jokers at Priority). We go in with a plan. Let Husband to all the talking, we've already got an awesome quote from Ourismon on the care we want (but who feels like driving to Chantilly) and we already know what the fair value of our trade in is from our bank. If they match the price we will go with them, if they give us somewhere near $6,000.00 for our trade off (even though according the bank they can sell it for much more with a little elbow grease) we go with them . They try all the usual tricks. They try to negotiate the trade in first, we tell them no we just want to talk the price of the car. They try to get us to use their financing, we say no we already have a great deal from our bank and we don't take large amounts from strangers unless we are desperate. We have good credit sir, go on with your lame ass loan we don't want that ish. Per the usual song and dance they keep us in there for 2 hours and before telling us they will match the price (I'm restless and my kids are tired too but we are thinking we are near the end.) All is going well until the trade in, guess these jokers thought they would "make back" their money. We show them the quote from our bank saying that a car in our condition should get $6,500 for a trade in but we are willing to take $6,000 and be done with it. All of a sudden random ass manager comes out looking mean as hell says $4000 is all they can do. Husband comes in play room and tells me. I say well tell them $5,500, Mad Manager says "we all in, this is our bottom line" I say Husband get our ish, this is insane we are about to purchase a damn near $40,000 2017 car (that you have to get rid of anyway to make room for 2018), we spent 2 hours in here and y'all wanna nickel and dime us for a few hundred dollars. So I am thinking song is dance is still going on cause we walk out and car dealer chases us out (nice guy by the way). I say listen, (was quiet the whole time cause honestly I am the bad cop, my hubby is the good cop) "this is not how negotiations work, y'all need to budge on that price cause it's the principle at this point and y'all not about to disrespect us" He says well we are offering a lifetime of oil changes and fluid top off. I say "with all due respect sir, we are buying a 40,000 car, we could care less about some oil when local drunk Mr. Lou can do that for $10 and we aint gotta deal with your garbage ass maintenance center, yes I did the research its garbage" He didn't argue with that point. So he says "how about we split the difference, $4750, I say now we are talking. He goes back in, comes back out and reports that Mad Manager says "we are already losing money with the low cost of the car (mind you it aint even that low, he's exaggerating) we can't move. I say so let me get this straight, you people are about to lose a sale on a car that you have to get rid of anyway for $750, you won't ever see us again we are done. Husband goes to Carmax that night just to confirm that what our bank said was true. Carmax offers us $5,000 on the spot for car. Next day I send husband alone to Lustine. Although, they kept him in there for 5 hours, they match everything, Carmax price and Ourismon price and now we are the proud owners off a 2017 Highlander with 2 years of free oil changes so Mr. Lou bout to miss out. Moral of the story, they're petty as hell at Priority (over $750, I mean really) and Mad Manager is a damn idiot. read more
