The service portion of my visit on Thursday 30 July went well and deserved 5 stars. The reason for the downgrade is driven by what I consider an unsafe and reckless incident on the part of who I believe was a Priority employee, that I witnessed upon leaving Priority after the service was complete. When leaving Priority Toyota on 30 July at approximately 1225 PM, I was exiting the parking lot on the north side turning right on to Loisdale Road. I had come to a stop and was looking left at the oncoming northbound traffic to judge when I could proceed. I began to move forward on to Loisdale Road, when suddenly, from my right side, a silver vehicle traveling south in the left lane (I think it was a Toyota, but not sure) passed closely in front of me while making a left turn into the parking lot, causing me to slam on the brakes to avoid a collision. Through the rear view mirror I observed that the driver did not stop, but proceeded east through the parking lot and through the gate back to the rear area. I do not know if the driver was an employee of Priority. I believe this is the case however, because the vehicle went through the back gate - not normally where customers park or have access. Whomever the driver, his / her actions were reckless and unacceptable. Loisdale Road splits just north of the intersection referenced, so this driver made a conscious decision to illegally drive down the left lane on the left side of the median to enter the parking lot. I have to think that the driver saw me, but made no indication as such. Perhaps an employee, running late on their way back from lunch? I provided the above feedback through the standard "Rate Your Service" email received from Priority shortly after completion of service. Apparently, nobody at Priority felt obligated to follow up with me. We will continue to patronize Priority for our service needs, but I feel obligated to bring the above to managementʻs attention. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely frustrating. When I first arrived, I was very impressed with the staff. The first employee I met was friendly, professional, and helpful. My service advisor, Marvin, was also pleasant during check-in, and I initially planned to leave a positive review. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill because of the lack of communication. I provided my correct phone number and expected to receive updates about my car throughout the day. Instead, I spent the entire day waiting without receiving a single call or text. I repeatedly called the dealership trying to get a status update and was continually routed to voicemail. At one point, I finally reached someone who assured me they would not put me on hold and that they would get an update for me. Instead, I was left on hold for over 30 minutes and then transferred to someone else's voicemail. By this point, I had spent hours trying to get a simple update. When I called again, I was finally told that Marvin had already left for the day without ever contacting me. I was shocked and frustrated. I had dropped off my car in the morning and spent the entire day waiting for information, only to find out near the end of the business day that my advisor had already gone home. After expressing my frustration, I was told that I could come pick up my car, which I did around 6:15 PM. What makes this especially disappointing is that the entire situation could have been avoided with a simple phone call or text message. Had someone taken a few seconds to update me using the phone number I provided, I would not have spent nearly three hours making calls, sitting on hold, being transferred, and trying to track down basic information about my car. I understand that service departments are busy, and I respect the hard work that goes into servicing customers. However, communication is a critical part of customer service, and on this visit it was completely lacking. The staff I met in person were great, but the follow-up and communication were among the most frustrating customer service experiences I have had. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at Priority Toyota Springfield. The staff came off as very unprofessional from the start no greeting, no welcome, nothing. It felt like they didn't care that I was even there. When I mentioned I had an appointment, the response was cold and rushed. What really bothered me was the lack of communication about pricing. They didn't explain anything upfront, and unless you specifically ask, they just keep quiet about it. That's not how customer service should work. Overall, the whole place gave the impression that they don't value your time or business. Things are going better after my last appointment here. I had an issue with a battery from 2021 still under warranty and the service manager helped me square away an appointment and new battery within a few days. My advisor Dwayne very nice, friendly and helpful. And more importantly he was efficient! Also, when my car was ready, there were many advisors, ready to go get the cars and almost everybody interacted with here was very friendly, which is far different than my previous experience. He was extremely knowledgeable about each vehicle we considered and gave us all the information we needed to make the best decision. Mr. Alvarez was never pushy, and he never made me feel as though I was bothering him. He consistently answered my calls and was always available to address my questions and concerns. When we picked up the SUV, he took the time to sit with us inside the vehicle and carefully explain all of its features. So I got a Gold certified vehicle from them, BUT since taking it to my local Toyota dealer 3 weeks ago they said Springfield never linked the 7 year warranty! Ok, NP. Easy fix right? Should be. So guess what, called x5 times in 3 weeks asking for Will, Aaron (General Manager) and who ever else can help me. But no...seems it's easier to ignore their customer. No call back no help at all. Absolutely terrible experience. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. I purchased a car from them, and after only one week of owning it, the engine and battery both failed. Instead of standing behind the vehicle they sold me, I was stuck dealing with constant headaches and delays. The dealership offered loaner vehicles, but when it came time to actually provide one, getting a loaner became a frustrating battle. To make matters worse, it took them over a month to repair my car, despite the fact that I had barely driven it before it broke down. Throughout the process, communication was poor, and I was left without the vehicle I had just paid for. On top of all that, they repeatedly attempted to charge my card for random amounts even though I had not purchased anything additional. My car was supposed to be getting repaired under their care, not generating mystery charges on my account. This dealership will say all the right things to get you into a vehicle, but my experience suggests they care far more about making a sale than taking care of customers afterward. I only gave 2 stars because the salesman we had, William, was excellent. Let's go before and after now...before...my mom towed her car to Toyota in early June not knowing what was wrong. $3400 later they still didn't know as the car wouldn't start. Then they wanted $1200 more for MAYBE water in the car. Despite everything, we decided ro buy a car here because she spent so much money so we were trying to recoup some. Fast forward...got money for car, salesman William is excellent. After him...the business manager had to be corrected in the paperwork several times. Finally got it done....then when we get the USB drive for the docs, it had a separate woman's name, address, phone number, and email address on the Retail Service contract. Way too much personal information to be exposed. I immediately took the USB drive back to Toyota and the response from a business manager was to ask when it was done. I told her and she was happy it wasn't her. This dealership fails on so many levels. I am worried about my mom's information. They already took advantage of her as a elderly woman with Parkinson's disease. Now I got to worry if her information is on someone else's USB drive. ​ read more

Out-of-state buyers, beware. My experience with Priority Toyota of Springfield was one of the most stressful and completely unprofessional car purchases I've ever dealt with. * I bought a 2023 Dodge Charger R/T on August 14, 2025, for nearly $39,000. * The car failed Maryland state inspection just two days later for: * missing mufflers (illegal under Virginia law) * illegal window tint * a cracked windshield * The dealership sold the car without disclosing the missing mufflers, which is a violation of Virginia Code §46.2-1047. * When I went back, they denied responsibility and argued with me before reluctantly agreeing to fix the mufflers and remove the tint -- but they refused to fix the windshield. * I had to call, email, and even drive back multiple times because they wouldn't return my messages or answer the phone. * Brandon Bentley in finance never sent my loan paperwork to any lenders, which caused my entire deal to fall through. * I later found out that Brandon used month-old paperwork to get this so-called "approval," which he wasn't allowed to do, and Chase Bank confirmed they wouldn't have accepted it anyway. * He never ran my credit the day of purchase, nor for the three weeks after, while I had the car just sitting in my driveway waiting for answers. * When I finally spoke with Donell, the used car director, he was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. * I called Chase Bank, and they had no record of me or my co-signer -- meaning my financing was never processed at all. * I had to reach out to Lithia Motors, the company that owns Priority Toyota, to get any kind of response or action taken. * I also had to file complaints with both the Virginia Motor Vehicle Dealer Board and the Attorney General's Office because of how poorly this was handled and how many laws were ignored. * I even had to drive back to the dealership two separate times just to get my check for the money they owed me. One staff member told me to come in person, but when I got there, the finance lady was rude and said, "I don't know who told you that, we don't even have it." After standing there for almost 30 minutes while the front desk lady sat chatting with the finance lady, Aaron, the general manager, stepped in. He was the only one who actually helped -- he pushed finance to release my check, which had been upstairs the whole time. The only positive was Aaron. He was the only professional person in the entire process -- respectful, responsive, and genuinely willing to fix what others had caused. Bottom line: Out-of-state drivers and anyone financing through this dealership should be extremely cautious. The lack of communication, missing paperwork, and total lack of professionalism made this entire experience an absolute nightmare. read more

Brought my 2024 4Runner (15k miles) in because the passenger-side mirror camera wasn't working. Michael told me it would take about 2 hours, so I waited at the dealership. Two hours passed with no update, so I waited another 45 minutes--still nothing. I went back to ask, and was told they weren't sure if the issue was the camera or wiring and might need to swap cameras to diagnose it. Then I was given two options: leave my car or come back another time. I couldn't leave it today, so I chose to return later. He said it would be 10 minutes to bring my car out--it ended up taking 30. Using a credit includes a 2% fee but no additional fee when using a debit or when paying in cash. I did not have my debit card so I tried to use cash but they did not have change for a $100 bill - invoice was for $65.00. I was forced eat the 2% fee. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle here and was very disappointed with the process. The dealership ran a hard credit inquiry without my authorization, even though I confirmed with them twice verbally that it would not be done. I also never signed any credit authorization form. Running a credit report without verbal or written permission is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Only after I confronted them did they offer $500 off the price. That discount didn't feel like true compensation, because they claimed $2,500 in reconditioning costs left them with "no margin" to negotiate further. In reality, the service performed was just a cabin filter, an oil change, and four new tires with alignment -- nowhere near $2,500 in value. The car itself was fine, but between the unauthorized credit pull and the misleading reconditioning claims, I cannot recommend this dealership. read more

Lackluster experience. Not a fan of this Springfield Priority dealership for 3 visits now (I'm a slow learner), under previous ownership group or new owners. Always an issue with them, forgetting to check on issues I mentioned at drop-off, resulting in more delay as they go back yet again to check on my request originally to look at. Often vehicle is ready for pickup and I get no notification, so vehicle sits for days UNTIL I CALL or text. Speaking of text the system seems flawed, they don't necessarily get them properly, per a Priority employee, I asked beaause on a call he was asking me about info answered in a text, a text he didn't see. Employees told me about new higher service rates and lack of employee appreciation events with the new management. Just this month I dropped off an old Avalon and told service representative I'm considering taking them up on their offer of no vehicle repair fees (special) if I trade vehicle in, did I get a call or text regarding this, NOPE. I had to prod them to give me a purchase offer on the old Avalon. I suspect no established handoff method between service and sales department. Offer employees incentive! Lastly during service I often wander around looking at showroom vehicles and used vehicles on the lot, it is a LONELY walk, no salesperson bothers to get out of their chair to inquiry if I would like to purchase a vehicle! Yet they are busy at Priority Toyota in Springfield I got to say! Good for them. I just don't feel like I'm the priority with them. Lastly Priority asked me how they did after the job, I gave them a low rating and they said they would CALL ME, did I get a call, nope. FAKE giving a damn by Priority. Shop around, plenty of places can do what the dealer does, for less and not a mess. ;( read more

They said the work will take about 2hrs but knew and luckily i had a family take me home. 4hrs later I called to see if my car was done, but they said another 15mins. I dropped my vehicle off for a manufacturing recall. When I picked up my vehicle two days later, personal items were missing from the vehicle. Additionally, I discovered several parts broken or installed improperly such as door trim, weather stripping, and the front driver side window. it was later disclosed that the work was sub contracted to a third party and that I needed to resolve the quality control issues with them directly. The last time I came in was the worst experience, and will be my final time. Every service advisor I ask what is the cost of each item, and then what total will be because the budget is tight. This time, I was read the expenses of everything and then we confirmed the total amount of $292. Then Simon Lumpkin asked if I wanted to upgrade the "total" amount to $320 with taxes being around $360 to have a plan to do oil changes done in the future. Again I confirmed before I left that the total amount would be the $360 something. When I came back Simon handed me the bill and it was $700+! I asked why my bill was over $400 more than we'd had talked about. He started denying everything saying that's not what we'd talked about, saying he explicitly said the total would be $750 (or whatever that number was). I would promise you if that number was over $500 I wouldn't have done it because of the budget. After a while I asked if I could talk to a manager and Simon said he was the manager. This may be true, but on the website it says no such thing, which raises more concern of being gaslit the entire time. I am left as a customer very disappointed and frustrated. read more

I asked for both State & Emissions inspection, tire rotation, and oil change. They forgot my state inspection and I had to request that again before I left. Two charges I did not request something for my AC, which was an extra $117.00 which I should have looked closely at my receipt before I left. They suggested other repairs that would have added another $1800, to my bill which I refused. Told me my vehicle was parked out front when it was done. I'm walking around outside in the heat with my cane(mind you I told the tech about my hip replacement surgery) looking for my vehicle and it hadn't even been pulled out yet. Was told the wait would be approximately 2 hours, came out after about an hour and a half and said it would be done "soon" and was another hour and a half! i called when I arrived home and I was cred for the AC kit charge, so I will give them that!
