On the most recent service call, after they pumped out the black water tank, I pointed out that I had a high level alarm on my gray water tank. They looked at the level in the gray water tank and said it would "probably" be okay at least for two to three months, maybe six, but examining the pump was beyond their scope of expertise. They could have pumped out at least some of the volume of the gray water tank but they closed it up and drove off. Less than a month later, I had another business come out to look at the gray water tank. When they opened the lid, the black water tank was totally full and the gray water tank was practically overflowing! A couple of days later, we would have had sewage backing up into the house! Although I said in the past that I would use Goodman's for all my septic tank needs, my most recent experience will have me using a company that can provide both tank pumping and maintenance services from now on. They are okay for routine pumping service but nothing more.

She said she could get me in the next day- Friday. I told her I had to go into work, but I could try to leave early and did they have afternoon availability. She said how about 3 or after 3, I said that's perfect. The plumber calls me Friday at 9:40am and said he is on the way to my house, I told him I was at work and my appointment was at 3pm. He said he understood and he would reach back out to me around 3pm. I told him if I was able to leave earlier I would give him a call. I took off work early so that I could be home before 3pm, I called him at 3pm to let him know I was there. He said ok, he would call me when he was on the way...I called him back at 4:45 and I asked him if he had an idea of the time he would be coming. He said he was snaking a pipe in Portsmouth and he would call me after to head my way. It's now 10:15pm...I took time off of work for nothing, he never called and he never showed up and my faucet has a constant drip. The office was respectful and kind, the plumber was kind on the phone...but it is so rude and disrespectful to just not show up or call back and let them know you are unable to be there. This was my second time "using their Services", they had just repaired a leak in my crawl space a couple weeks prior and those guys Were quick, kind, and efficient. I am beyond disappointed with This go round, I will not be calling them or using their services again. I will take my business and my money elsewhere.

If there's any review to read.. here ya go…read more I've been a home owner for a long time. And sometimes stuff happens. Upon moving into my (new to me) older home, we learned about some of the bad things that people do with their flushing standards. This bit us in the rear when the entire system got clogged. This clogging created a backflow of stuff you don't want to see, to come back up.. into the showers, bathtubs, yeah... it was messy.. and ugly. I called around to find a plumber that would be willing to help me and at first I just left a message to call me back. Shortly after, Newman's quickly responded by returning my call. The lady was very friendly and responsive to my needs. She mentioned that they had availability sooner than other places AND they had an option for emergency service. The emergency service (after hours) was obviously going to cost more but honestly, I had literal fecal matter in all our tubs, etc. it was totally worth it to have someone come asap. The gentleman who came over definitely knew his stuff. Dave had been doing it for a long time. He was very quick to isolate the issue and get everything resolved. He was very concise with what he was doing and the path to get things clear. I'm very pleased with the service I got as I had a no BS - let's get you straight service and was able to get it when I wanted it (which was immediate). As much as I hope I never have to call, if I do... I know I'll call Newman's. Food Taste: n/a Overall Service: 5 Value of food to cost: 4 Facility: n/a Repeat customer: yes Dog Friendly: n/a

It was a coincidence they arrived near the same time during the arrival windows, and not a problem at all, they said it happens all the time. For context, this is about $1,000 to $2,500 job, not a $150 job, but not an enormous $50k job either. I introduced the 2 electricians, they were friendly and professional to each other and to me, we had nice initial 5 minute introduction conversation. Dan asked very few questions and he didn't write anything down, it felt more like Dan was there for show than to learn about the project and create an honest, accurate quote. Dan left after about 10 minutes. The other electrician took notes, asked great questions over an additional 15-20 minutes to ensure he truly understood everything involved and needed, he gave thoughtful feedback and provided a professional, comprehensive quote. Dan Levinsky literally left and was never heard from again. He provided no feedback, no quote and no follow up. Nothing. Dan proved that exactly what was experienced in the first experience with him, was indeed accurate, there was no misunderstanding, he showed his true colors. Dan showed poor communication, zero follow up, he can't be trusted or counted on to do what he says, his advertising is not true, and there's no way I would hire his company. I would absolutely not recommend Dan Levinsky and Sons Electrical.

Both experiences have been ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING! The first time, the outdoor temperature was well over 90 degrees and our unit wasn't producing. M&J Services was the only company to respond and did so within an hour. That is when I met Mike, one of the owners-he is now on my phone contact list. Once I committed to giving them the first job, which required replacing the unit, M&J brought us two window units the SAME NIGHT. That alone won me over. Within a couple days of completing the job, Mike called me more than once to check on how things were going. It is refreshing to have a business owner personally ensure customers get that kind of service. Five years later, I still had no issues with their work. Now let's fast forward five years to July 2025: We moved into a new home and discovered the builder had contracted with Weather Makers to install the HVAC unit. The work was poorly done and we were suffering as the result of it. Months later, Weather Makers has never even bothered to return any of my calls. Although HVAC repairs are never a pleasant experience financially, I knew I was going to call M&J Services first--no matter where I was going for a second or third estimate. M&J rezoned my attic ductwork into three areas with separate thermostats, and actually brought some crucial areas up to code that were not. M&J again gave us outstanding work across the board! We now have a more efficient, functioning unit. I am committed to always including M&J Services in my three-estimate lineup.
