I called Delta, who had installed…read morethe unit several years ago, and Sean came out that day, diagnosed the issue and did the necessary work to get the unit up and running. My 5 stars are for Sean and Delta's quick response. I'm more than a little disappointed in the York AC unit I had put in as I've had a few issues with 'cleaning' and 'rusting' parts of the heating component--my previous unit didn't have these issues, and it supposedly wasn't such a 'good' unit.

I spent over $15,000 dollars with Delta Heating and Cooling over a 2 year period, and in the end…read morewould not provide me with a complimentary service visit. I was not happy with my experience with Delta, but I had no intention of leaving a negative review. Not all business relationships end well, and I would not be publicly criticizing them if they provided a reasonable customer service experience. But they choose not to, so this is my story: I called Delta back in Feb 2024 in response to a massive spike in my electric bill. At that point the system was not heating consistently, and I wanted to move the compressor to be further away from my backdoor. They talked me into their $120/year subscription plan, and I paid ~$3,500 for the work. A couple months later they had to come back out in April at another $480 dollars. They came out again in October, another couple hundred bucks. Fine, HVAC is expensive. In my second year with Delta, February 2025, I had another massive power bill spike. Turns out this time the problem is the ductwork of my house not circulating heat. The system is running overtime, because the heat is not making it into the house. This should have raised more alarm bells at the time. At this point they had been servicing my HVAC system for a year, but they had not previously recognized the problems with the ducts? They were the ones providing an HVAC service via subscription. I did not think of that at the time, and the work needed to get done; so in February 2025 I spent over $10,000 dollars replacing the ductwork in my house. At some point in this saga, Delta replaced the defrost board on the HVAC machine under warranty. It was under warranty because the part had been replaced following one of these expensive service visits. The brand new defrost board failed in less than a couple months, and to their credit, Delta fixed it under warranty. In December of 2025, Delta came out for a standard service appointment, and told me the defrost board needed to be replaced again for another ~$600. This is when the alarm bells started ringing for me. I don't know the intricacies of HVAC; but I know computers and cars. And from my experience, if the same part is breaking repeatedly, something else is wrong. This is when I lost confidence in Delta's competence with older HVAC units. I was correct. I called Air Experts for a second opinion, and it turns out the defrost board had been installed incorrectly, and the problem wasn't the board at all. The problem was that a piece of solder was floating around in the compressor lines and clogging the system. Air Experts understood the problem, understood old Goodman machines, and were able to clean and and fix the machine for ~$600. I called Delta to express my dissatisfaction; but they did not own up to their failure. Instead they felt it appropriate to continue charging me for their subscription plan, because it is paid in arrears. To this day in April 2026, I am still paying them $20 a month for the visit back in December 2025 where they failed to properly diagnose the problem with the HVAC. So, I asked them: Since I am not satisfied, I am still paying them in 2026; can I please get a complimentary service visit to checkout the machine after Air Experts. I thought that was a reasonable solution to prevent this negative review. They denied me, so I am sharing my experience. I would not recommend you use this company if you have an older house and HVAC system. I don't believe they have the history and competency to service older machines, per my experience. I don't harbor any ill will, because everyone I spoke to at the organization was courteous and reasonable; but in the end, I don't recommend doing business with organizations that won't stand behind their work.

I had National Waterheater replace my waterheater to the tankless. What a disaster. The man that…read moreserviced me was from Rocky Mount in 2021. I paid extra for them to run the lines correctly in order to get hot water to the back of my house as well as a line for logs and a grill. Well they left some of the connections loose under my house (my house could have blown up) and the grill line never ran. I had problem after problem I called this team back at least 6 times & after so many times and the problem still not fixed you get tired of talking to the person. Rinnai replaced the module and still did not work, then he said i must have the timer so I purchased the timer and still did not work. I gave up on these people as they were obviously clueless. I called in another company paid 360.00 for a diagnostic turns out this just means they call Rinnai and troubleshoot over the phone, some how NWH had the system hooked up wrong and I got hot water for 2 days. I am now 3 years into dealing with the same problem. We called Delcor this is the company you need to call they charge 130.00 to come out but please now this tech will not leave until your problem is 100 % certain it is resolved. He had this fixed in 2 hours yes he too was on the phone trouble shooting with Rinnai and turns out it was a connector not of Rinnai brand in the back of the house that was not working correctly. I will call DELCOR every time, I believe the techs name is Jeff who is also friendly with great work ethics. Do not waste your time with NWH.
