I found a beautiful place to go shopping and a new place to dine. They have a cafe in the first floor. When I first visited because I was with someone who does not shop, my visit was cut short and thought it was a very small branch of the one in Paris. This time I went alone and discovered the sprawling place and more areas to shop. There were new dining areas I found too. All I can say is I highly recommend this shopping place. Go visit and if you do not come out shopping I hope you are or had some coffee to relax with. read more

Luxury shopping in FiDi. It's not a typical store where employees come up to you and ask if you need help. You may roam freely around admiring the expensive items on display from brands like Amiri, Acne, to Golden Goose and more... the list goes on from shoes, clothes, to bags, and accessories. They have a small coffee shop with expensive items. Cafe Jalu offers coffee, tea, pastries. There was just one barista when I arrived so the line was long & moving slow. They also have a fancy little bar with unique furniture and overall classy vibe. Very Parisian. They could train the employees to be more approachable to customers. Often found them talking to each other but not reaching out to those shopping unless a question was asked directly to them. read more

I want to die here and spend my ghostly eternity haunting this fabulous place!! The people who work here are almost all French! I wonder if the department store sent them from France or hired them here. I wish I took more photos of this place or a video. The design details of every department and the bars & restaurants were so perfect!! There's so many amazing items to look at and be tempted by. But the prices are definitely high. I saw one croissant candle that was over $100. But the skincare cave has a bunch of great stuff for pretty normal prices. The whole store is beautifully and artistically designed with lots of curated finds. We stopped by the bar and had a lovely time chatting with the bartender and our fellow shoppers. It's a very nice and rather personal feel to this "grand magasin" (large department store)...in American form (with a smaller format). The curation of brands and pieces from those brand's collections was decidedly French. There was definitely a European feel to the space. It's laid out in a way that makes you really want to explore all corners of it and encourages shopping. The first floor invites you in and the second floor makes you want to stay. Also, on the second floor, the restaurant/bar Salon Vert is a gem. We had a great bartender who knew his craft. The food prep team and chef also made an appearance as they were hard at work on menu for a group that was scheduled to arrive as I overheard while eavesdropping. Can I afford to shop here? No. Can I still wander around with a glass of champagne and admire? Yes! What a beautifully designed store! The walls, floors, and fixtures were just absolute art, along with the clothes. Every room either has a bar, or a bar cart serving drinks. We only interacted with the bartender, but he was very nice and gave us some tips for walking around the store. We also found our way to the restaurant before they opened, but the maître D let us walk around and take it all in. The menu looked great, and I would definitely be back to enjoy dinner. About a 2-2.5: Printemps is a French luxury department store, and they had opened one in FiDi recently. They boast of having a nice range of brands and such, but I thought it was extremely limited, in addition to not much of a selection of styles. The decor was colorful and fun, with interesting decor. Cafes and restaurants are on site, for those who would like to grab coffee or nosh while shopping. There wasn't much of a crowd, as we went closer to opening time. Stay with me while I explain why the review is not 4 stars. Made a res on Resy at Salon Vert (2nd floor) and table was ready when I arrived with my niece. First thing we noticed: Wood veneer is coming off of dining table. Crazy! This place is new. Table was chipped and looked shabby (not chic). They have NO bread service! Seriously. Best thing about Paris restaurants is the amazing bread. The menu is minimal as for food, but tremendous for alcohol. We shared a salad, the cauliflower and the eggs. All were delicious, but not filling, hence needing the bread. Service was fine. Of course we checked out the ladies room: Wallpaper and wall under hand dryer were falling apart. It's due to the Dyson hand dryer, but could someone notice and find a solution. Like a crack house wall. However, the decor in the bathroom was lovely. Also, this being a new spot you would expect to find contactless sinks in the bathroom, but no. The store is small, only 2 floors. There are cute Parisian touches such as champagne bar and beautiful Murano glass lighting fixtures. The prices are high (as expected) but we did find a pair of sneakers for $90. So there's that. It's a fancy dept store with cool decor and interesting layouts for depts. It was certainly a destination and one that should be checked out. Door persons open and hold both Front doors on your way in and out, adding to elegance. Staff wear their own clothes so they blend in and it all looks natural. Dressing rooms are beautiful. Some look like cabanas!! On the way out we decided to stop at the cafe for cafe latte, a croissant and a pineapple cake. All made very well and delicious. There's an Info desk is on the right side after you get in. 1st floor and 2fl are the only shopping areas. 1st fl is casual clothes/accessories/fragrance/ cafe 2fl is closes/bar restaurant/skin care products/facial spa etc. 2restrooms are on the 2nd fl. during the store hrs, 2 door man stays at the entrance. Printemps is a high-end French department store founded in 1865, but this location, its first in New York City, opened earlier this year. I visited last weekend, when I was in the neighborhood for a few hours. The store is gorgeous - both its inventory/products and its interior. There's a coffeeshop and a bar, so even if you're not shopping to buy (I was out for the day and couldn't be walking around with big bags), you can walk around and ooh and ahh and get a coffee or a glass of champagne! But if you're a shopper or can walk around with big bags, there are treasures to be found in this department store - clothes, bags, books on the South of France, candles, home goods, and so much more. Printemps, the famed French department store, opened its new concept store in New York City today (March 21), the first day of spring and how apropos! Long lines outside but since we had a reservation at the oyster bar - Salon Vert we were able to skip the long line. What can I say? The store is lovely! The set up, the selection of merchandise. It reminded me of a Barney's. I think the bit of Paris may have cracked the code of getting shoppers through its doors. Clearly not everyone will be able to afford the items for sale. But just the experience is worth it. Sales staff were helpful and friendly. Our waitstaff were excellent and attentive. I will return again and again! Paris has arrived to Manhattan and its in the heart of the financial district. This elegant and masterfully designed space is beautifully curated and makes one truly stroll thru the entire space as each section opens up. There are spa treatments and a beauty corridors that leads to it. Sweeping staircases and a cart to receive champagne for one's walk. Be sure to check out the 'red room' as these beautifully orchestrated tiles fill the entire space from floor and cover the ceiling with such precision, honoring the structures within the room. You must see this in person and feel how lucky we are to have something like this in the states. read more

We stopped by for drinks before dinner nearby. All the seats were taken on the 1st floor, so we went to La Salon Vert on the 2nd fl. We really enjoyed the cocktails, service and the ambiance. The fabrics and tiles used throughout are ooh la la. The crudite was beautifully presented but a bit sparse. It's getting haute in here! Couture clothing, architecture, and decor are on full display at the new Printemps New York. This French import is a feast for the eyes, senses, and palette. There are tunnels of beauty counters with Salvador Dali-esque vanities, rose quartz spiral staircases, and little bars tucked into corners of every department. The piece de resistance -- the Red Room shoe salon. This palatial homage to designer footwear features cathedral windows and red and gold-leaf mosaic walls. Today was definitely a day! Going into the city is always a vibe for me. I had to stop over to Printemps, although I missed the grand opening. Uggh anywho when I tell you it was everything. From the red room decor to the curated shoe display. The dressing rooms were IG worthy or maybe just photo worthy lol. I mean I was certainly dressed for the occasion. Anyway, if I'm honest almost every item was way over my budget, BUT girlllll I can treat myself every now and then. Printemps is pretty much a tourist stop at this point. But one that is worthwhile. This place is a modern department store but also lowkey a mueseum. I would definitely recommend people to go here just to walk around. All the employees are super friendly and welcomed us at every room. There are manyyy security guards. All the room all's are somewhat themed with different colors and architecture. A refreshing take on New York department store scene. Looks more like a large boutique definitely catered to finance bros and gossip girls and the foot traffic international tourists in between. Definitely some gems in here. I will say the men's section is minimal. The women's is very extensive. A lot of brands of French iykyk , the bars are the real prize here. It's very 1920's with 1980's socializing going on. It's hard to get a seat. The staff are cool and ambitious. The brands in my opinion for men's can be better. Very spacious. This won't give anyone a run for their money Dover St or Bergdorf but maybe Saks? Which turned into an indoor mall this is what department stores used to be. Came here to check it out when it was a few weeks old. First thing I didn't really care for was the fact people were being let in in waves and waiting outside in a line to get in. Seems like this process would cut down on the crowds inside, but what it actually did was make it so there were waves of people you needed to surf and bottlenecks throughout the visit instead of a steadier stream of people being let in. Not a big deal, I expect that will die down once the novelty runs out? As for the actual store, the interiors are stunning in some parts, weird in others, but overall inventive and new feeling, at least for a department store. There do seem to be some new ideas here I haven't seen before, like a mobile bar that you can buy a glass of champagne from. There were interesting and beautiful products throughout, but most of which I know nothing about. If you're in the area it's worth checking out, but it didn't blow my mind or anything. I wasn't personally caught by any products I felt the need to purchase, for what that's worth. I worry this is a case of style over substance, but I'm rooting for them! read more

The store itself is beautiful with a cool option to buy a class of bubbles to walk around with. It's a small store, and the goods ok display are on the luxury side. It seems this is more of a place to socialize than do serious shopping as it has restaurants, coffee and now a wine store. Printemps - gorgeous! This new French department store is located on Wall Street diagonally opposite Trinity Church. Last Friday, I was given a guide, Anaya, to show me around. From the beautiful decor, clothes, bags, shoes I was gushing with delight at all this beauty. Anaya was surprised how excited I was while going from room to room and to the other floors. The beauty section has two French brands exclusive to this store. Avène is sold here and is available at pharmacies in the City. Feel like a drink? How about a flute at the champagne bar or a mixed drink inside the cocktail room with posters of Chanel that is warm and colorful? A cafe is on the ground floor. Both the fitting rooms and restrooms are pretty that one wants to take pictures. A doorman greets customers in French and there is also a uniformed guard. I was thrilled with my tour and am returning this weekend with a friend. The grand opening is tomorrow, March 21. Be sure to go! read more

This is a perfect case of style over substance . The interiors of this jewel box are remarkable . The stars I gave reflect that and only that . The architect created a maze of discovering and it is quite beautiful blending the old and new . Now let's talk about merchandising . This is possibly one of the worst edits of product I have witnessed in the luxury market . Yes they have all labels but one piece sitting on a rack like a museum . Not a salesperson to be seen other than in the somewhat aggressive beauty bar area . I guess this is all about show and the owners really don't care about sales because this store is more of a museum of designer goods than a retail store . At first it was very overwhelming because it was a lot happening in the store and I didn't know who to approach. A gentleman by the name of RONNIE approached me with the sweetest hello and immediately answered all my questions about the store and various brands. Culturally Diverse Staff? Check. Untrained, unqualified, rude, and unprofessional? Check. Walked out. Products with no price tags. Other products clearly marked up ridiculously compared to the actual vendor. Chaotic display and organization of products.
