I had a really good experience at Bloomingdale's 59th Street. Tamara and Darian at Acqua di Parma were absolutely wonderful. They were genuinely kind, warm, and welcoming from the moment I walked up to the counter. They took their time helping me choose a candle and diffuser, answered all my questions, and gave me recommendations without ever making me feel rushed or pressured to buy anything. Acqua di Parma also had an artist there who could customize and hand-paint the candle, which made it feel even more special. Tamara and Darian helped me through the whole process and made sure I was happy with everything. What stood out to me most was how friendly and patient they were. It felt like they actually cared about helping me find something I would enjoy rather than just trying to make a sale. I also had an amazing experience with Rani at the Clinique counter. She went above and beyond helping me find the right foundation and shade for my skin. She was incredibly patient and made sure I was actually happy with what I chose. Experiences like this make me want to keep coming back to Bloomingdale's. I used to shop at Sephora a lot, but I've found that it can be more expensive for what I'm looking for and sometimes it's difficult to even find someone who has the time to really help you. I feel like department stores have gotten overlooked over the years with Sephora, Ulta, and other beauty stores expanding everywhere. I honestly forgot how much better the service and personalization can be at a department store. Having someone actually take their time with you and help you find what works for you makes such a difference. Thank you Tamara, Darian, and Rani for being so kind and making my experience feel personal. This is the kind of customer service that makes me want to keep coming back to Bloomingdale's 59th Street! read more

I really like my local Bloomies, in Tysons, so when making plans to visit NYC recently, I made plans to stop in here to check it out. I walked 1.2 miles from my hotel to get here and was very impressed when I walked in! It's like a large department store which is set up like a mall filled with boutiques. They have multiple Prada boutiques, as well as all the other popular designers, all organized by menswear, ladies, perfume, etc. Service was GREAT too! I was shopping for myself, so I stayed in menswear, on the lower level and Ruthie helped me. She got me a great jacket from Peter Millar, a nice polo from Burberry, and a couple other small things. Definitely will be returning... soon!! read more

This is a review of an online experience since there is no separate brand page and they closed the local store due to a lack of commitment to live presence in San Francisco. Terrible customer service on the phone, could not execute an order that was placed twice. It was a security concern, which is understandable and good that they pay attention to, however it was easily addressed. Still no ability to place an order. I grew up trusting and shopping at Bloomie's 59 St., later in San Francisco, more recently online. They closed the SF store and the customer service people were argumentative and unhelpful about an issue that should have been easily resolved. Poor training, hiring, and, and execution. The only reason to shop with them online is the goodwill they built though live experience with what were always excellent salespeople. Now they're just an online shop with a remote call center who knows where. Plenty of better alternatives. read more

As a longtime Bloomingdale's member, I'm truly shocked by the level of service at this location. The store was nearly empty on a Friday night, yet finding help was like pulling teeth. I asked a simple question about a product to at least ten different employees and received a different--and incorrect--answer each time. When I approached a woman wearing a long silk dress and heavy makeup to ask if her register was open, she avoided eye contact, paused for several seconds, then finally told me her counter was closed. I couldn't help but feel dismissed and uncomfortable--especially as an Asian customer. What made the experience even more unsettling was seeing her helping another (white) customer at the same register just minutes later. Thankfully, another associate--also a Black woman with short hair--was kind and welcoming and ended up helping me. But overall, this visit left me feeling judged, disrespected, and unwelcome. If you're looking for a positive shopping experience, I suggest looking elsewhere. I won't be returnin read more

Bloomingdale's - Department Stores Near Me - New York, New York

Love Bloomingdales if they have items in clearance or just random unique gift items. I just happen to step into this one due to I needed to use the restroom. Restroom is NYC is hard to come by in those streets so be mindful LOL After the restroom since I was inside I might as well window shop - Breezed through the sales / clearance racks and walking around I stumbled a cute souvenir. A mini bloomie tote bag! It was cute but pricey - But Its a cute souvenir. I think they have a cafe that serves iced water cups if thirsty. Try to sign up for their rewards system if you can. Staff here are nice and helpful if you need assistance. Bloomies is known to be pricey and high end items sold through out but if you look through the mark down items you can get a good deal. read more

Bloomingdales 59th street is still my favorite store. I came to the just imagine shopping party. It exceeded my expectations. So many yummy treats and drinks. I had a great time and met some fabulous employees. I found a perfect dress at Johnny Was and so much more. Great shopping deals too. read more

Saro at Bloomingdale's represents a tier of service that is extremely hard to find these days. He helped me pick out shoes with genuine care and expertise, was incredibly attentive throughout, and took the time to actually get to know me rather than just make a sale. To top it off, he even found the glasses I had dropped somewhere in the store. Saro turned an ordinary shopping trip into a truly memorable experience -- ask for him by name. Five stars without hesitation. read more

Great selection and style. But the on line ordering experience got a lot worse starting 2026. Something happened. In store shopping is ok. Nice lay out and decor. read more

I love to shop. I love to shop high-end. My job and credit card statements can attest to that. What I don't love is poor, pretentious customer service. As someone who frequently shops Bloomingdales online store, I was shocked by the severely unfriendly, curt, and rude customer service during my last visit to the 59th street shop. Shop here for a Dilapidated Shopping Experience! The store was stocked, but aside from mainly tourists and college fashionistas buying coin purses and wallets not many people were actually purchasing anything. Sale associates were folding jeans over and over again. Cool. Over Confident, Depressed? Sales Associates Bloomingdales has an abundance of sales reps; however, it looked like they're employed to huddle together in the corners of their assigned sections and not help anyone! At Sandro I was ignored. At Veronica Beard, ignored. I can name a few other sections where I had the same experience. I shopped 3 floors and got one "hello" from the associate at Ted Baker! I had a return that I wanted to quickly get over with and I probably would have perused and maybe even bought something for more than the clearance price; however, after 3 additional sales reps telling me they can't process a return while they twiddled their thumbs, and having to trek to the far back corner of the 3rd floor, I was finally able to make my return. The return was fine. The service up until that point was disappointing. What an experience or lack thereof! I expected more from you Bloomingdales. Two stars: quick return, and the rep at Ted Baker read more

I received an email from Bloomingdales offering me $100 off of an item I had been viewing. The email sent me a picture of this item that I had been viewing. Online only. fine I go to order it online. It will not take the code because it is excluded from this offer. I spoke to three people at Bloomingdales. They told me they're not responsible for marketing. A little on the shady side. Don't offer me something and then tell me I can't use it when I try to order it the other department stores. Saks carries this item as well. If I decide to purchase it, i'll go to saks read more

Bloomingdales 59th Street is my favorite location to shop. I got my first store credit card from Bloomingdales, and I have always shopped at the 59th street location or the Bergen County, NJ location. The NYC store is jaw dropping gorgeous! Not to mention the alluring scents. It smells like money as soon as you walk in the door. The smell is very rich, and elegant! All of the store staff are super friendly. I bought myself a gift online, had to go in store to pick up. Ended up buying gifts for friends as well. Even if you go to window shop, definitely stop by this location, you can thank me later. Retail therapy never hurt anyone...:) read more

Decided to break up with Bloomingdale's today after a long and tumultuous relationship. I tore up my credit card and canceled my account. One star is for the convenient location; one star is for the small number of outstanding employees. On the whole, though, I'm afraid this place is pretty horrible. I've had way too many terrible experiences here to justify shopping here anymore. It's too bad that all of these experiences spoiled it for the employees who actually provide excellent service. Happy to shop elsewhere from now on. read more

Always a great place I've been coming for way too many years to count. I love the 59th St store and love shopping here.

In the year 2026, why does Bloomingdale's exist? The question came to me today as I walked through an empty store with items in hand. When I finally found someone to ring me up--and decided not to take one of the items--the salesperson actually told me to put it back on the rack. Um, that's your job. Seriously, this store feels like it's in its death throes. read more

Bloomingdale's is a place everyone knows, and everyone should visit. They really have such an amazing selection, from the highest to the lowest (well, not really lowest), end merchandise! A staple of NYC since well before I was born... and that was quite a while ago tbh. This trip to Bloomingdale's was to swing but the Prada store, and of course, get a Prada bag. And that we did. Service and staff are always so helpful and friendly. read more

I had a good experience shopping here- came to buy a trench coat during the loyalist event and got help finding the right size thanks to Dominic. He was very patient with me trying on some shirts and pants too until we were able to pick out some good outfits. Also got put onto some brands I wasn't familiar with like NN.07, Corridor, and Represent so that was cool. Shoutout to the other associates (I hope this is the right term) too for checking in on me while I was looking around and helping with sizing and outfit opinions read more

What's not to love about Bloomingdale's? It's a 12 floor shopping mecca. From jewelry to accessories/clothing to home goods and furniture - it has it all. There's also a few places to get food and drinks, including Magnolia Bakery. During the Christmas season they have a winter wonderland upstairs and of course the renowned window decorations. They also have various events throughout the year. And don't forget the Big Brown Bag Sales. If visiting NYC, Bloomingdale's is a must see. read more

I ordered on line, package was never delivered or trackable in the UPS website. Bloomingdale decided do not refund the money. Called them 3 times when package didn't arrive, instead of doing a formal investigation they kept my money. They are THIEVES. I have returned in the past more expensive items directly in store. And when they failed to deliver they rather to keep the funds of a woman. Thieves. read more

when the company knows the product is limited, they should never take a online order and days and days later you get a email that this product is not available when you're sending it as a gift. not the first time that Bloomingdale has ever done that it is so not right. When a item is limited, they should never take an order. I find that to be very irresponsible. Therefore, I will no longer be shopping with Bloomingdales. It's not the first time that they have done this. read more

Horrible customer service. I purchased several thousand dollars in merchandise and had them ship to my home. It never arrived. They have no phone for customer number service. If you call their number it is for on line purchases only. If you call the store there is no option for customer service. You cannot speak to a human. I cannot wait to cancel the purchase or send back for a refund because this is the worst shopping experience imaginable. How sad that this once great department store has sunk so low. read more

Ordered a faux fur coat for $99.00. It was a Christmas gift from my husband. We used his credit card. A Mastercard. I also have a Bloomingdale's credit card and I am a loyalist. Later that day I received an email saying it was cancelled and I can no longer purchase anything online from Bloomingdale's. No explanation just an abrupt conversation from their so called Supervisor. I am insulted and appalled. I was treated like a common criminal. I will continue to write negative reviews on every site possible. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and no appreciation for good customers. I called to see what happened to the points for a purchase I made in December. Apparently points do not roll over to the next year so all those CHRISTMAS purchases don't provide points. I asked to get them back and was told I should have know as the policy is described in the contract I signed. As is anyone reads that fine print. SO for about $25 in reward points Bloomingdales loses me as a customer. ALSO I tried to cancel the order I place 30 minutes ago and was told it is too late. It has not even been billed. Guess Bloomingdales will be going out of business soon. read more

Bloomies is offering a complimentary photo opt with old Saint Nick and two free photos to take home. Kids also get a free goodie bag of candies as well. I just love coming here to go to the Carousel area -this time was Willy Wonka display and other New York items. I also love the Bond No 9 display. My favorite one is Tribeca from them but I couldn't find another one that I liked just as much! There is always so much to see you could spend several hours here! We didn't do that this time as I had these two areas that I wanted to see. There are always a lot of people here but we came in the morning and it wasn't too busy. I'm always so glad to see that Bloomie's is still thriving as so many other department stores have been struggling. It's always so eye catching and that's what I love -whether it's the clothes, the makeup or the yogurt! It's always a good place to check out! read more

I've been a Bloomingdale's gal since I was a child. I grew up in New Jersey and I have many memories of shopping at the Bloomingdale's at the Short Hills Mall with my mom. Then has an adult, when I moved to New York the 59th St. in Lexington Avenue Bloomingdale's has been my favorite department store. Many frozen yogurts (the best frozen yogurt) at Forty Carrots. Many more memories shoppping with my mom. It is an icon of New York. One of my favorite places to shop. Yes some of the price points are expensive, but there are things in so many different price ranges. They're always on top of new styles and new design designers. Sometimes, there's not enough sales people which is my only negative criticism . Although, I've also worked with many kind sales associate who have helped me pick out outfits, and given me honest critiques on what works best for me. I'll always be a Bloomies gal! read more

In NYC for a super quick visit, my husband and I spent some time shopping at this fabulous and super huge Bloomingdale's headquarters and flagship store... We split up to make the most of our time. He went down to the Men's department and I went up to explore cosmetics, undergarments, kids clothing and more... I could have spent all day in this store but ended up honing in on what I really needed since we didn't have that much time... Huge thanks to Ezra who helped me with Spanks and Irene who did some quick magic on my face at the Clinique counter! Do not order for they deliver UPS with zero options. Moreover, they will tell you they'll ship it out on a certain day, but it'll go out a day late, and then arrive days after the originally told you the package would arrive. There's no expedited shipping to be offered. There's no second day air from these people. There's not even next day air, even if you really wanted something and had no problem paying shipping. They just won't do it. Pretty sad shipping policy if you ask me. I didn't think it was possible, but Amazon ships better than these people. In the meantime I've got a coat worth over a thousand bucks that is in ether because I have no idea where it's going to land. I'm sure it's a fun store to walk into, then walk out with a nice package. But don't take your chances on shipping. Abysmal. read more
