So when I placed an order for $140 bouquet it charged me 6 times and I told her this the day prior. She said she didn't see my order on her system and that I didn't have a confirmation number. Well, the next day I came to pick up the flowers because we said we could solve in person. Instead of canceling the additional charges she said to pay for the one in the system and I just simply gave up and said no. The delivery was left on top of a running AC unit in peak LA heat, at the side of the house - so my recipient never saw the flowers and by the time we figured out where the bouquet was left, it was ruined. Shop refused to reimburse or replace. No text or call to recipient to tell her the flowers were delivered. (EDIT: the delivery driver apparently did call to say there was a delivery. But apparently the call was so rushed they couldn't be bothered to say what exactly was being delivered. So my recipient assumed the delivery was for something else she had ordered and did not check around her house when she got home. My husband has been ordering flowers from Mark's for 23 years - this was the 23rd bouquet I've…read moregotten from them to celebrate either my birthday or our anniversary (we can't afford twice a year). This time it was for our 23rd anniversary. You can see the 2 photos below and easily spot the day they were delivered vs 4 days later. This bouquet was over $250 after the delivery fee. If you add that up over 23 years, that's $5,750. For flowers... I told my husband that this bouquet, while extraordinarily beautiful the day they arrived, by day 4, they had lost color (from red to black), pedals were falling and some flowers were completely falling over. So he sent them an email saying that these flowers were not up to the same standard that we have always enjoyed from this florist. You want to know what their response was? "Thanks for contacting us. We're sorry but we guarantee our flowers for 2 days". That's it. So, if you want to spend $250 on dead flowers by day 4 and nothing will be offered to make up for it except... "We're sorry but we guarantee our flowers for 2 days", then have at it. Buh-bye Mark's. You just lost a 23 year loyal customer (x's 2) who will be shouting to anyone and everyone to not waste their $ on this business. From both my husband and me. What a shame. Imagine how much more money you would have made off of us after another 23 years. That's just stupid. Oh well. Plenty of other florists out there and 100's that are not so far away to avoid an $85 delivery fee.
