I was disappointed in the new Princess Nails. It feels like a Waikiki or tourist salon. It was so comfortable and welcoming before. I would love to go and relax. I went last week and found the music extremely loud and it did not have that comfortable feel. The TV they used to have was a diversion and watching the Korean soap operas was enjoyable. I am happy to see Rose and Christina still there. They give the best manicure and pedicure anywhere. The atmosphere is the reason for the 3 stars. read more

If you need a pedicure - you won't go wrong with Rose or Lyn- both do an excellent job of pampering your toes while you sit in a massage chair feeling the trade winds blow through the window. For a quick fix manicure or a repair- ask for Ty - he is a magician with acrylic or the massage type manicure..... right downtown across from the Ala Moana mall and Walmart. read more

I went there with my boyfriend on a late Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy at all. He and I were the only customers when we walked into the salon. The place was smaller than I expected, but that's a plus for me because I prefer not to be in a big, crowded room (ahem, like Mani Pedi Salon at Ala Moana). It was clean and very comfortable. The females who helped my boyfriend and me were quiet, but that was okay--I watched tv while one of the females gave me a pedicure and the other one worked on my manicure. Unfortunately, a regular came in for her appointment and I could tell the female who was working on my manicure was scrambling to get my nails done in order to tend to the aforementioned customer. She hastily brushed my nails while the female owner merely sat in her chair watching tv with her dog. My nails came out okay, but nonetheless--wasn't too please about the latter part of my appointment. Sorry Princess Nails--I have to give you a three-star rating for that. Would I go again? Maybe. Perhaps just for a pedicure instead, because it was darn awesome. The feet massages they give are fantastic They applied the right amount of pressure to my feet. I think my boyfriend loved it, but I don't know if he'll admit it. All in all--I can see this place being great, but it was unfortunate how my first experience with Princess Nails wasn't as pleasant as I hoped it to be that day. I'll give this place a second chance next time, but for now three stars will have to do...and for now, I think I'll just continue to go to Aveeda at Ala Moana for my mani/pedi instead. read more

Once again, I am beyond satisfied. I never feel rushed. The massages (yes, plural) during my pedi are extremely relaxing. My toes and fingers feel pretty! Thank you! Have a Happy Thanksgiving! :) read more

Decided to do my nails after work got there and there was no customers in the shop and they were able to take me in with no appointment right away. All I can say is this is the best nail salon place I've been to so far. Best customer service here and the guy that did my nails was the best I've had so far. The lady offered me and my Husband coffee and gave us water and they were making friendly conversations with us as well which made us feel more welcomed! I like how The guy also showed me how my nails would look with the matte style vs the shiny gloss style because this made me decide even better which type of style I wanted. Very friendly and good work on my nails! I will be coming back to this place soon! read more

I known the owner Tina, forever. She's a kind lady, always nice and loving toward my dog. There's no surprise seeing how she's also quite amazing at her work. This place provides an above the average service at a reasonable rate. Of course, I also highly recommend booking your appointment in advance, rather than just walking in. This salon is really clean and also the amount of colors to choose from, is quite impressive. I most highly recommend this place to everyone. You won't be disappointed.. read more

Will keep it short, the pedicure was damn good, the manicure was garbage. The manicure lady gets good reviews on here so maybe just an off day, not comfortable doing mens nails, IDK but probably in the bottom ten manicures I have ever had, extremely disappointed. Would rate (4) pedicure, (2) manicure hence (3). Pros: Regardless the staff is friendly and chairs comfortable, parking is free, and while appointment only, you can usually get in pretty quick and as an added bonus, no waiting after arrival. Cons: None really other than the crap manicure. read more

I went on an impulse to get my nails done. They accepted me with no problem. Everyone was very nice and friendly. They were affordable and cheap! I got a basic pedicure that felt amazing! I also received a manicure but I was disappointed that it did not last as long as I wanted. Great selection of colors and great service. read more

A little sketchy when we walked in. Small place. But this has got to be the best massage I've ever gotten. She spent almost an hour on my pedi. Such great work. read more

Princess Nails - Pedi :) - Nail Salons Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Have been going to PN for years. All wonderful people. It's a little treat and getaway for myself. My toes and hands thank Tina, Rose, Lynn, Thai and everyone there! It's the best! And I am very picky and have limited time to get in and get out and my nails look great, I get a nice hand and foot massage and out on time for my next appt! Price is just right too. Mahalo, Princess Nails! You guys are no ka oi! read more

After moving to Vegas, and trying out different nail salons, Princess Nails is one of the things I miss the most about living in Hawaii. I've always enjoyed my manis and pedicures there. Everything from the service, seeing the shop dog Tai, and the conversations with the ladies. They also remember all of their loyal customers. Once you come here and experience their top notch service, nothing else will compare. I bet you a thousand bucks. One thing I really appreciate about them is they will keep it real with you and tell you what is best for you and you're nails. Like if you need to give your hands a break from gel or acrylic they will tell you. I've been going there for over 7 years and really miss that place. The best service, best quality, and best foot massage, everything. If I could, I would fly back every month just to get a pedicure. read more

My new favorite place for a pedicure. Clean, professional, attention to detail and the best leg/foot massage.

Best place to get a pedicure! I love all the ladies that work here! I will never go anywhere else after here. No place comes close to the detail and time they spend on your toes~ it's a little pricier than your average nail salon, but well worth it! Make sure you have about an hour or so to spare, again attention to detail and great massages! read more

My roommate and I wanted to get our nails done at a place close to where the bus lets us off, so we found this one. We made an appointment 2 days before just to be safe. We both wanted acrylic extensions, so we chose our colors and had the two workers do their magic. My nail artist did a blue gradient glitter thing which was very pretty. However, my friend wanted a green gradient but her nail artist had her own thing in mind and didn't listen to what my friend wanted. The only thing with my experience that bothered me was that the artists did not really listen to what we wanted, they just did their own thing. My friend's nails were kinda 'meh', it wasn't trendy and pretty. As far as price, it was reasonable. read more

Forget the prissy name. In fact, embrace it. Because when you leave here you really will be feeling like a Princess who never felt so pampered and taken care of! And you'll have gorgeous nails. I walked in after Yelping for a place (thanks Yelpers) and they were able to take me for a pedicure. They sat me down (btw they have incredible massage chairs) and the treatment began. This has to be one of the most thorough pedicures I've ever had. They give you a really deep calf massage and I'm pretty sure this must be standard practice for every pedicure but I'm still really surprised that they do this! I think each leg got a good 10 minutes of being worked on; they never felt so loved. There is no shortage of entertainment; there are plenty of magazines to flip through or you can watch the Travel Channel and get hungry watching snippy Anthony Bourdain eat his way across the globe. But where was I? Oh yes, my legs. My pedicurist (is that a word?) was also able to make my feet baby-soft (and for a couple days afterward, too) which is no easy feat--no more rough heels, no more strange bumps on the side of my big toe. Now they're finally nice to look at. The polish job was perfect too and probably would have lasted about a month if I didn't get tired of looking at the same color. The price is VERY reasonable. At $35 for the best pedicure ever?! What a steal. Last week I tried my luck again with doing a walk-in and unfortunately they were booked up for the day but the lady was nice and gave me their card and told me they could get me in next time. That's memorable customer service. The parking isn't bad either with meters on the street and free validation in the parking lot. I highly recommend you support this business! read more

I am so grateful to Yelp (and my sister) for finding this place! I just moved to Honolulu and finding a good nail salon was on the top of my list. 1st star: They run on an appointment only schedule, and still did their best to accommodate me since I was a walk-in customer. 2nd star: Tina, the owner, did my nails. She was great! Excellent customer service! She was very personable and wants to know her clients on a first name basis. Which is why they run on appointments only, she explained that she wants her staff to take their time and give the customer the best service they can receive. Me and her chatted the entire time(it was just the two of us) and I got a chance to know how she runs her business and treats her staff....such a lovely lady, I can't say enough. 3rd star: The salon is small. Maybe around 4-5 chairs. and 2 tables for manicures. You won't be distracted with loud chatter, kids running around, or staff carrying their own conversations/gossip. This is one of the few salons where you can actually have a mani& pedi in peace and relaxation. 4th and 5th star: The service. Where do I begin? If you want excellent service, along with quality products and results that have people asking you "where do you get your nails done at?" this is the place! My total bill came out to $50(mani&pedi, I don't wear acrylics) well worth it! and you can bet that a fat tip was added too :) PS....beware! those Korean soaps are addictive! Lol. It was my first time watching and yesterday me and my sister stayed up til 1am on Hulu trying to catch up with the series! Lol, it's crazy addictive. read more

Yesterday was my first and last time I will ever go here. Not the normal place I go for my pedis, but decided to try something new. My lady did a good job, I love the fade she did on my toes & the ladies that worked there are really sweet, don't get me wrong so why the 1 star review? First of all, this place is dirty. I'm not talking looks dirty, I'm talking unsanitary. 1) after each use, they're supposed to sanitize the massage chairs. A lady that was there before us left, not once was the chair touched after she left. 2) they did not properly sanitize the tools they used. Sure they might have "scrubbed them" but I did not once see anyone sanitize the tools used in an autoclave (the UV sterilizer used after sticking the tools in the blue/pink bag). Also, I'm sure they just reuse what they can. When they were painting our nails, they wiped the excess paint on a dirty, used, paper towel with various colors already wiped and dried on it. 3) they don't clean the tubs good nor do they sanitize them!! my friend was sitting next to me, so when she was finished I was watching her lady clean the tub. She took a kitchen sponge unscrewed the parts of the tub, ran the water, and just "went through the motions" of scrubbing the parts, THEN throw the dirty sponge in the tub below my feet (yes, my feet were out by then). No further cleaning. Next, the owner (I assume since she took the money bag and closed out) left for the day and left the 2 other workers that were finishing up with me and my friend to close up. My friend paid to the owner cash, no problem cause she was done with her pedi before me. My issue was when I finished the owner was already gone, so my lady told me $41. So I gave her my card & she tells me $3 extra to run the card. NO WHERE was it posted that there's an extra charge for card. I figured that since the owner left for the day, she was telling me $3 extra for the hassle of settling the credit card machine again, ok I understand that. But then she laughs and she had the audacity to say "yeah, good! save you $3" when I give her cash that I was supposed to be deposited for something else, after my pedi. I was really trying to like this place, but the rude attitude after was just the icing on the cake. Sure she was "sweet" in saying it, but as I was trying to be courteous to her...she laughs, takes my money, and pushes us out because they want to leave. To be honest, my friend tipped her lady more than I tipped my lady but I didn't feel bad because I wouldn't doubt that she was going to pocket majority of the money I gave her, if not all. I asked for a receipt, and she didn't even know what that was! Not to be racial or anything, but no matter how sweet a Vietnamese nail tech is, she will always talk shit in her own language. I'll just stick to my normal place for pedicures. read more

Just got a pedicure recently from this place with my sister and we both enjoyed it. After yelping for quite sometime i decided to give this place a try. It was great. Rose gives great massages and is very thorough with her work, my legs felt amazing and smooth after wards. Although the price is just a tad bit higher than other nail salons out there, I would recommend this place if you're a stickler for a clean and comfortable environment. I would also recommend making an appointment as the place does get busy later on during the day. read more

You simply can't find a better pedicure on the Island...or at least I couldn't! They spent an hour massaging & working my feet & legs, and took lot's of time with my nails making them perfect. It's not fancy, but for the price & the results, I couldn't care less! Do make an appointment, they do get busy. We called the night before & got in first thing the next morning. read more

Best place to get a mani/pedi. Wife and I come every so often. Tina (owner) and Rose are the best. They both take their time and do a terrific job, no rushing. Always busy so by appointment only. When Rose is giving me my pedicure I'm cranking that massage chair to the max! read more

Came with my girlfriends for a group thing, one of my girlfriends is a regular. Thank God! They are really good at what they do. I hate going to places where they give you a price, like $20, for doing your nails and then they start adding on things. This is a special scrub to make your skin softer, this scrub is to exfoliate, etc and you walk out with a $40 bill when you went in thinking you were just gonna spend $20. Here everything is included in the cost. It costs about $33 before tip for a pedicure here and they do everything. My nails last a long while too without them chipping. read more

Our daughter sent her dad for his BD mani/pedicure and he has tried others from time to time but always goes back to his memories of the best mani/pedi performed by Princess Nails. During the deep tissue foot massage and removal of callouses [lots of it] he fell asleep. I could not do what they did b/c my arms would fall off! He and I were pleased with the results and the increased stimulation in not only his feet but legs as well. Also, his hands looked good too. Don't shy out on the massage but do ask if you prefer to be handled tenderly. read more

this is by far the best pedi and mani on Oahu! Fast, oh so pampering and meticulous. Very helpful with nail issues as well. Tina and staff are so nice, caring and simply splendid! I recommend them over and over. read more

$30 for a spa pedicure sounds expensive but after experiencing other places for $22 i think you get what you pay for. here you get a real scrub down of your legs, a long massage, serious attack of the calluses with good old fashioned elbow grease and pumice stone. they take their time. it's pretty small so make an appointment. read more

It's rare that I actually go out to get a pedicure, I usually opt to diy to save a buck... However, if you want an amazing massage to come with the mani pedi, you gotta go here. The massage alone on the pedicure was 15 minutes, good pressure really getting the knots! The massage chair is excellent, not weak at all, and the remotes work! We've all been stuck a time or two with the one broken massage chair at a nail salon. The whole pedicure time was almost a full hour, I seriously nearly fell asleep because it was so relaxing, just what I needed! It cost $35 for a one color pedicure. Call in advance, make an appointment if you can, the salon is small and only seats 4 pedicures at a time. Luckily there was an opening today and I got right in! read more

It has been a long time since my last pedicure. Boy, was it well needed and deserved. I'm sort of biased when it comes to nail salons. I prefer not to visit the Vietnamese salons, but decided to give Princess Nails a try given the review's it got on Yelp. I made an appointment with Rose who I now can agree with the other Yelpers gives the best massage EVER. She took her time, appeared to really take pride in her work and was very professional. The ladies at Princess Nails are not your ordinary Vietnamese Ladies who work at nail salons. I was very satisfied with the end result of my pedicure. read more

Thank you yelp for this wonderful discovery!! Just as other reviews mentioned, the experience started with great massage chairs! My friend and I agreed that we have never been to a nail place with such fantastic massage chairs. On top of the massage chairs, we received the best foot and calf massage with our pedis. It was heavenly. The massage alone was worth the price of the pedi. The 2 girls who worked on us were professional and were perfectionists in making sure our toes were perfectly polished. The 2 girls (one was named Rose. We did not get the name of the other girl.) who worked on us left us to our own conversation which we appreciated. They quietly did our pedis and did not talk to each other like other nail salons. It is $30 for a basic pedi and very worth it! Tip: If you go to Princess Nails, be sure to make an appointment. It is a small shop and they cannot take that many people at once. read more

Hands down best pedicure I've ever had! My polish and jewels stayed on forever!

Love this place! It's clean, bright and doesn't have a trace of a chemical smell. I come here for pedicures and my polish lasts for weeks. They do a thorough job and give great leg and foot massages. I also love their massage chairs. I could sit there all day if they would let me. And Rose is super sweet. I Get My Nails Done Regularly So I Am No Stranger To Nail Salons. I Went Into Princess Nails Last Week After My Coworkers Said That They Liked It There. Just Because My Regular Nail Tech Was Booked Up For That Day I Decided To Give Them A Try. Booked By My Appointment & Within 15 Minutes I Was There. The Reason For The Two Stars Being The Fact That They Forgot They Had Another 2pm So I Ended Up Going Before A Lady That Thought She Was Going To Have A 2pm As Well & Naturally They Rushed My Manicure To Accomodate Her, Cut My Nails Too Short & The Paint Wasn't All The Way To My Cuticles. Now My Coworkers Loved It Here & Idk If Its Just Because I'm More Used To Better Customer Service But I Was Very Disappointed. From Now On I Stick To Going To See Kitty At Nailery. read more

Um definitely the best pedicure of my life! My mom raved about how this place gives the best foot massages along with your pedicure and she was right. However, she only goes to this one lady named Rose. I had a different lady and although she was good too and gave the longest foot/leg exfoliation treatment and massage I could see Rose really giving my mom a deep reflexology massage in the seat next to me. I definitely would like to try Rose next time. Nonetheless I am more than pleased with my pedicure. The service as exceptional and the price is right! love love love! read more

Best foot massage! Super nice owner. They pampered my footsies who havent had a pedi in months and got they got a good rub down.

Both my husband and I love this place (yes he loves his pedi). Similar to what the previous comments say, the foot/leg massage and the thorough service make every penny out of your pocket worth. I've done my wedding nails here, and I've come for regular mani/pedis. Never disappointing; always great service. read more
