It's a small shop but I liked the intimacy of it. The best pedicure that I have had so far. Tina is so funny and friendly, she kept us laughing the entire time. Lynn kept working on my pedicure even when the next client showed up, I had gel polish on my toes which took longer to take off but she did not rush or skimp on my massage! This place is incredible. I'm here on vacation and needed a pedicure so I came to princess. I've never had a pedicure where so much attention is paid to removing callouses and dry skin. The massage and scrub was the best I've ever had with a pedicure. The attention to detail was really incredible. If I lived here I would definitely be coming on a regular basis. On a whim, my fiancé dragged me to get a pedicure to address my toes which she lovingly described as "hammars". A quick check of Yelp led us to Princess Nails based on the glowing reviews and its close proximity. While not the fanciest place and in need of some AC help (kinda warm) the pedicure was as advertised - very good. Very smooth, no nicks and no drama. The foot massage was also top flight. I was so happy, I splurged and got a manicure as well. My fiance reports that her mani pedi was equally good, so it looks like we have found a winner. read more

went here today to try it out since the reviews were good. maybe I shouldve went with rose since everyone was raving about her. I had the owner? anyways, she was constantly getting up to answer the phone and her massage hurt! she was using sea scrub to massage my legs and feet and it felt like my legs were on fire everytime she scrubbed. she did get my feet nicely polished but she kept picking at my skin around the nail area which was uncomfortable and seemed like she was trying to dig out dirt where it wasnt present. like she was trying to literally reach underneath my nail beds just to dig out my flesh or something to satisfy herself by digging anything out. I didnt give it one star bcuz she was at least very polite and for the fact that it wasnt crowded as I thought and the service was an hour long (wish I actually enjoyed the massage tho :( ) read more

I can't believe I haven't written a review of this place...I swear I had! I definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone :) They do GREAT pedicures! Tina is such a sweet lady...they all are! Lin and Tina do excellent work. I've never had Rose, but I hear great things! Had Tina today and she was wonderful. Made my feet baby soft and my nails look so nice :) Love her little pup Starbuck too. He's adorable. Great Manicures at this Nail Salon... There are so many nail salons in Honolulu it's almost impossible to be able to predict the good from the bad so obviously I needed to consult Yelp. After I read all the reviews I thought why not, it's worth a try. I went in and was impressed at not only the large selection of top brand nail polishes ut the unique nail treatments I had never seen before at a typical nail salon. It literally took me forever to decide which nail treatment I wanted as I'm terrible with decisions, but in the end Rose and I decided to try the peppermint sea twist manicure as it sounded surprisingly refreshing! read more

Really liked the place until the last visit.:( Accident occurred while Rose was grinding down on my calcium deposit @ left foot big toe area with huge sharp metal tool My toe was cut severely & bleed by the tool. I was screaming in pain so I had to plead her to stop. The guy was doing my nail had to tell her to stop as well. Make it things worst, Tina the owner came to me in the end ask me to pay in cash since the building owner raised the rent & not making any money with credit card payment. Told her that I din't bring the cash but next time... Really??? Bloody experience & forcing me to pay in cash... It took a month to heal. Left with a scar in my toe:(:(:( read more

This place is by far the best nail salon I have every been to. I can't step into another salon on the island. Not only do they do a great nails, but what is so unique to them is the amount of time they spend on the massage. The pedicure is about 90 minutes approximately and the majority of that time is spent on the massage. Even though they can be busy, you never feel that they are in a rush to finish. Many places do that and you end up with a sloppy look. They are a small establishment so I recommend calling to make an appointment. read more

This is a really great salon! It's on the second floor of the building and there's a sign in the window that's noticeable from the street. Parking next to the building can be validated by the salon and there is also meters on the street. My friend and I made a last minute decision to pamper ourselves, so I called in the morning and they had an opening about two hours later. When we arrived, they asked us to pick our nail polish. There are no prices listed, but after I picked my colors, I was told it would cost more. Not a huge deal, but something to consider when you choose. I got a manicure and a pedicure. The pedicurist scrubbed and massaged up to my calves and it felt so nice. My feet have never felt softer and more relaxed. The manicurist shaped my nails nicely, but the nail polish didn't cover my entire nail the first coat and you can see the difference in color on the edge of my nails. It was a little expensive in my opinion, but a very good experience overall. read more

This is the very best place to get your nails done! I come here regularly to get a full set acrylic manicure and pedicure. Every time i come i am greeted by a very friendly staff that treats me like a close friend, they know my name and make me feel comfortable and happy, where as past experiences in other salons were uncomfortable and I was treated as if I was a hassle which ruins the relaxation, pampering & quality we seek when going to the salon, this in it self really sets Princess Nails a part from the rest. i came here based on yelp reviews, as i am very picky about my pedis. some places don't spend enough time on massage, their massage is weak, or they're too sloppy with the nail polish, etc. princess nails is pretty top notch in those categories! i made an appt before i came, called to say i was going to be a little late but i ended up waiting a bit anyway since they were still finishing up with previous customers. i ended up with Lynn, who was very polite and thorough. great foot massage. probably the best foot massage i've gotten in a pedicure, but i thought it was weird that she did the massage using the exfoliating scrub. i'm used to having the massage part with the lotion at the end, so while my feet were fine with the hard pieces of grit during the massage, my right leg was getting sore, as i have sensitive skin. Lynn noticed that i took a moment to look at my right leg after she was done (to see if i had any skin reaction), and she asked if i was okay. i told her that my leg hurt a little bit, and she was like, "oh you have sensitive skin! i'll use a different scrub for you," and she grabbed some other scrub with finer particles to use on my left leg. i thought that was really attentive and nice of her to do that for me. she told me that that scrub can be used on the face, and to ask for it the next time i come. aside from the massage, she spent a lot of time grooming my 3+ months sans pedicure feet (gasp!). she made sure my nail polish wasn't messy and seemed pretty anal about it, which worked for me :) they didn't have one of those infrared cooling dryers but oh well. i just know from past experience that red nail polish takes longer to dry than some other less-pigmented colors so i was worried about my nails getting messed up without the extra drying time. the whole treatment took about an hour, maybe a little less. i would go back, and i wouldn't mind finding out how the other therapists are. judging from the reviews, it seems like everyone here is good! read more

We took a chance and walked in first thing Friday morning for 2 pedicures and was surprised to be accommodated! (There was one lady already sitting on the massage chair being served) I have been here before and like this little clean salon. Establishment is located on the second floor of 655 Keeaumoku. It has 4 massage chairs. Opi display is abundant and there is a big screen TV with CC if you decide not to fall asleep in your massage chair as the ladies work on your nails! Owner has a cute little 1 1/2 year old dog that walks around amusing all the customers. There is also a fish tank full of guppies in a bamboo pot container at the counter. Service lasted ~ one hr. They take off the old polish, soak your foot in the water filled bubbling basin, clean nails, scrape excess skin/callous away, massage foot and lower calf and apply new polish as you sit in their massage chair. There is validated parking available. I gave it a 4 star because the lady that worked on my nails was newer and was not as attentive like the other ladies that I've had before. read more

Was in a pinch for someplace close to Ala Moana to get my nails done. Thanks Yelp for suggesting Princess Nails! It's across the street from Wal-Mart on Keeamouku, upstairs from a bunch of restaurants. There is validated parking downstairs. Princess Nails is great for what you pay for. Full set of acrylics cost me $37. The service is just excellent. I had come just in time as their last customer. The woman I had was extremely meticulous in making sure the shapes & lengths were perfect and to my liking. I had asked for round tips instead of the square so she filed each of them into a perfect curve. She didn't obligate me into talking which I actually prefer than overly friendly. My only set back is that they did not have the UV drying lamps that I'm used to, instead using a desk fan to dry your nails. Just have to be extra careful when leaving! Also, I guess in the day time the ladies bring their dogs into the shop so bad news if you have allergies. read more

Either I'm super picky about pedicures or I seem to go to places on an off day.... I read the reviews for Princess Nails and well had high expectations. BUT... I'm not going to say it was bad, but I can't sit here and give the place a 4 or 5 star review. The pros: the place is clean and the woman who did my nails, very sweet and nice. The cons: holy expensive. It was $33 for a basic pedicure. To me, that's a pricey, especially given the fact that I can get a basic pedicure for $19 bucks elsewhere. And I don't mind paying more, but if you are charging me more, than I expect more. But really, it was basic. And frankly, I didn't feel like she did a good job at all cutting my cuticles or giving me a massage. She just rubbed lotion on my legs. That's it. And barely barely barely cut my cuticles. And they don't do the little designs on toes... not their speciality. In a pinch, I'd go here but with so many more options, I wouldn't choose this place. And... the owner, wasn't very warm to me.... and I say that because there were other people there and she was definitely more catering and gave better service to people she knew, perhaps regulars. But still... wouldn't you be nice to a new customer so that you can get more regulars? read more

The BEST pedicure experience I've had in Hawaii. I've visited many shops--from the west side to Honolulu and this cute nail shop is the best. Four chairs...nice owner & staff...good magazines...pampering experience. Nothing like the places that are finished with the pedicure shortly after they start. Nothing like the places that rub lotion on your leg and call that a massage. Personally, I prefer Rose and Lynn for pedis. Rose gives THE BEST MASSAGES. So strong for a petite frame! My only sadness comes from the fact that her pedicures used to last over an hour. Lately it's been closer to an hour. All in all, she's awesome and I always leave feeling relaxed. I always recommend this spot to friends as a best-kept-secret in Honolulu. read more

I'm now thinking about ditching my salon on the mainland for Princess Nails and I have been loyal to them for 13 years. While the ambiance is just meh, that is sooo much less important than the quality of the pedicure. From start to finish, I felt that I was in the care of a perfectionist who was trying to fix one set of ugly feet that had been sadly neglected. I've never had so much attention paid to my tootsies and I loved every second of it. The scrub was no big whop--seriously have no idea what folks are complaining about. I first went to Princess Nails a few months ago after I read all the great reviews on yelp. I was specifically looking for a place that had good pedicure reviews and was hoping to find somewhere that gave a good leg massage in the process. At that time, I had both a pedicure and manicure, and thought the people were very nice, friendly, and did a good job on both. As other reviews stated, they give a really good leg massage during the pedicure and give you a lot of attention. They do a thorough job, take their time, and don't rush. The cost for the pedicure was $35. I think the manicure was $18. The place is clean, cute, and small, not one of those big fancy places. They do a great job and their price is reasonable. Soooo, for our wedding anniversary, I convinced my husband to go. He had absolutely no interest in going, but I really thought he would find the experience enjoyable and relaxing, and I was right! We both went in for pedicures today, and not only are his nails nicely trimmed, and his feet looking good and feeling soft, but he thoroughly enjoyed the experience when he didn't think he would. He thanked me later on and said he would actually consider going again. My husband had Tina, and I had Moon (sorry, I'm not sure of the spelling). Although I didn't have an appointment, they were able to take me right away. The pedi was a little pricier than most places, it was well worth it! This was the best pedicure I have had in a shop. It was like a Reflexology Massage I had in Thailand along with a professional pedicure. All completed in 1 hour for a very reasonable price. It felt longer; I left relaxed and with great toes. No come-ons or extra add-ons. It has been three weeks and no chips and nails still look great. If you are traveling from another island or a visitor, it is very easy to find. Just 1.5 blocks behind Ala Moana Mall. Safe area and parking. I am going to try and plan my bi-monthly business trips to Oahu to include a stop at this place. I can't wait to go again. (Rosalee was excellent.) read more

Great Pedicure, place is clean, staff is friendly and is in a great area: walmart and starbucks across the street, and a ross right around the corner. What I didnt like was the manicure with the gel polish...was $42.00! That is too much in my book! It was more than the spa pedicure! So if you want gel polish manicure, this is not the place to go. I yelped about this place before making an appointment. Based on the overall review, I decided to make a reservation for pedi and mani.when I came there., I was put in the pedi chair immediately since it wasn't busy...then this man came over and started massaging my feet...I thought he was doing it until one of the women is free....after all there were two women served on this one woman next to me....but then he started to cut my nails on my feet...before I know it he was doing the pedicure...I noticed when he cut my nails it wasn't even...I have excessive skin around my feet and hoped he would clean around them...NOPE..I also have some callus......before I know it..it was done and he walked away...he didnt even ask me if i like what he did..he gave me a foot rub..but I rather focus on giving me a good cut and clean...if I want a foot rub I would go to a masseuse.....I am a person of loyal....this place was disappointing.....I won't go back there again...I am not sure if the man has a license or not. read more

As I've read such great reviews for pedicures at Princess Nails, I decided to check it out for a much needed manicure. After my manicure was done, I figured out why most of the stellar reviews for Princess Nails were for pedicures, not for manicures. I went in for a gel manicure, but the job was not satisfying...in fact, I've gotten much better elsewhere, such as Miracle Nails. The lady didn't clean my hands (e.g., slough off dead skin around nails, pushing back or cutting off cuticles) before applying the gel polish, she cut off dead skin around my nails after applying the polish. I thought this was strange, since other places would actually clean before applying the polish. But, I didn't say anything, as the lady was very nice, friendly, and pleasant. When I got home later that day, I noticed that she filled in the spaces between the side of my nails and the surrounding skin! And, she covered my cuticles with the gel polish! It's been a few days since my manicure, and my nails are growing out like it was done by a five-year-old because the edges of the polish are really thick and crooked. I am very unsatisfied with this service and will not go back for a manicure. read more
