After swearing I'll never get another gel manicure ever again (it's my own fault, I pick and peel them after the first chip) here I am getting a gel mani. I haven't been to Princess Nails in years but remember them doing a wonderful job, turns out, nothings changed! I made my appointment the day before and only waited a few minutes when I stopped in. Plenty of time to decide between two nearly identical reds (we've all been there, right?). The woman who did my nails did a beautiful job. She was extremely careful when cutting my cuticles and thorough when shaping my nails. There isn't a single nail that isn't shaped and painted perfectly. I'm only on day 4 but they still look absolutely lovely. I was in and out in about an hour. The ONLY thing that I'd say I wish was different was that 10 second hand massage you usually get with a mani. I don't usually get gels so maybe that's not a thing with gel manicures? No clue, but I did notice that was missing sadly. Other than that, for $25 I left very satisfied. I'm so happy I stopped in and I'm so thrilled with my nails I think I'm going to make my trip here a more regular thing. read more

Worst experience at a nail salon. Chris the so called owner is rather psycho.... And refused to have anyone do my daughter's nails because she asked if one of the ladies could do them. This was after she witnessed how he so rudely spoke to two patrons. He then yelled at my daughter after telling her to choose a color and sit down (no manners or politeness period). She sat in the window seat for over an hour, while people who came after her were seated and worked on. She asked Chris if someone was going to do her nails....he didn't answer. She asked a lady that works there and the woman said, He said no. This place is a piece if work... BBB this one is a real winner! NOT!!! read more

No doubt their pedicures are amazing same with their manicures and designs which is great. But if you are as picky as I am about your acrylic nails its very hit or miss. Sometimes I go and they do an awesome job and sometimes all my nails are filed diagonally and the gel chips in two days it depends on who does your nails. read more

In the hopes of getting a pre-event manicure/pedicure, my sister and I browsed Yelp's reviews of nearby nail salons and settled on Princess Nails because of their stellar marks. While the staff were friendly and warm, they were understaffed thereby extending what would usually take 45 minutes to an hour to compete to about 2 hours. The quality of service was marginal, at best, but the biggest disappointment was the subpar nail polish. With average wear and tear, a regular manicure should last 5-7 days but after one day, she and I both saw chips. After two days, I was ready to remove the polish altogether. We decided the OPI nail polishes they offer must be diluted to save on cost, so if a quality and cost-effective manicure is what you seek, I'd look elsewhere. read more

I used to be a regular here, but the service went so downhill. The first time I was there, they were nice and helpful and they cared about their work. The last time that I went, and my last visit there ever, they completely messed up my manicure. There were air bubbles in my acrylics. They didn't remove them to start a new set, just filled them when I needed a new set and they were in a rush to get the next customer in. On top of that, even with an appointment, you will wait. I have waited there for over an hour, only to be completely rushed. Their prices are good for the area, but I would rather pay more for better service. As a new resident of Flemington, I could only have dreamed of finding such a prefect nail salon. After having less than pleasant experiences at other local nail salons, I felt compelled to write a review for Princess nails. I wish someone told me to save my time and just come here. Three weeks ago today I had a gel manicure and pedicure from Hannah. My nails are STILL perfect. No cracking, no peeling off polish, no problems. I highly recommend you try Princess nails. I am giving them a 1 star because this is the second time I've had a problem there. Last time I went a man did my eye brows and pressed so hard on my skull I thought it was going to crack. When I told the owner he just looked at me and said sorry. Nothing else. Didn't go back for a year. I just gave them another try. They told me 15 minute wait so I waited. Then they had me sit in the chair for 20 minutes before someone even took care of me. I asked for a design, the girl said i have the other girl do it. That it would be four dollars but she would let me know once she did it. Then after she finished my pedi, the one working on me walks away and starts cleaning instead of painting my nails. Which she should have done to begin with while I waited. At this point it's over an hour and so I complain. She starts paint my nails and finally the other lady comes, doesn't say hi starts painting. I'm trying to still be nice so I start a convo. She looks at my design and says she will try. I figured this is definitely still the price because she doesn't mention otherwise. When I go up there to pay she charges me $8 for two nail designs! I told her she told me it was going to be $4. She said but this design is complicated so I said well you should have told me. All she could say is sorry and charged me $33. I won't be going back there indefinitely. read more

The service was terrible. My mother and I went there for a full set and pedi, and the lady that was doing my mom's nails did not shape her nails the way she wanted them. When my mom tried to explain how she wanted the shape, the lady got argumentative and refused to do it that way. She put a bunch of extra acrylic on them that my mom did not want. She told us both that she would do both our hands and feet. My mom did not want me to pay because she was not happy with what she had done so far. However, the lady that done my pedicure, done a wonderful job, did not do my nails because she was instructed not to by the owner. The owner was mad because my mom was not happy and did not pay her. I was very disappointed. I made and appointment and specifically asked for someone who does a very good job at removing cuticles with strong attention to detail. When I got there, the nail tech who was available took me to a manicure station that had nail dust on it. She spent about 5 min on the cuticles and did not remove all of them. As a result the polish job looked mediocre. The polish was also not evenly applied to all the nails. The prices are fine, but the result did not keep me coming back. read more

Other seats were quickly filling and people felt tricked into waiting. Not a good first experience. None of us are going back. I have been a regular at princess nails nearly 4 years now. But after my experience today, I will no longer be a client here. I had gotten a woman that I usually try to avoid (I have no idea what her name is but she is always rude & makes rude facial expressions to everyone) Because she always messes up even when I ask her to fix them, she uses her finger nails to push my cuticles back instead of using a tool, she also always file my nails on an angle. Every single time I leave princess I have to go home & fix them myself, which I shouldn't have to do because I paid them to them for me. Today she did all of those things I had listed above, I find it truly disgusting when my cuticles are being pushed back with someone else's dirty fingernails. When it comes time to pay she had told me the price & I handed her my debit card, she refrains from taking my card & asks I have HER CASH TIP. Prior to payment I had already planned not to tip her because of the amount of times I have already had problems with her, not to mention the unsanitary job she has done. I am one to always tip, but today was the breaking point. When I told her I don't have cash for a tip she had asked me to go to the ATM a few stores down. I felt this was so rude because there was a reason I am not tipping her, then for her to ask for her tip is absurd to me. Never has any nail tech asked me for their tip. Never is it required to tip, especially if you do a bad job every time. Sunny then comes over to see what the problem is & asks me how much id like to put on my card & I had told him to charge my card with the amount that my nails were & nothing else because I am not going to tip. He then angrily take my card from me, slams a pen down on the counter & has me sign the receipt. After I had paid my cousin was finished & had gone to pay & they were very angry with me. I felt they have no reason to be angry with me, I am the one who is very angry that she had asked me for a tip & did a bad job. So once again, I am home about to fix the nails that I just had paid to to get professionally done. Will no longer be a client here. read more

Tru is AMAZING. Best Nail salon in Flemington.. (been to Topline many times and finally gave up on them and Dior once- see my review). Princess Nails is very friendly, offers a great atmosphere, and most importantly Tru does a fabulous job. She listened to what I wanted and made it happen. She saved me a lot of money- said that she could do a french gel color manicure over my gel nails and that I didn't need pink/whites if I wasn't looking to have a permanent french manicure. Although the staff was pleasant, the manicure quality is extremely poor. I was on vacation and not particularly utilizing my fingers and nails and I had 3 nails chip significantly within the first 24 hours. Most of my other nails did the same by the next day. they were very professional at first although a bit stand offish and wouldn't talk to us. At the end, they forced us to give them an over the top tip. When we gave them the tip originally, the lady kept making disgusted faces and guilting us until we gave more and more and actually was very rude about it and kept telling us that they deserved more for okay work with bad attitude. They overcharged us for a mani pedi when he had just got a clear coat and the service ended up costing $60 for just a clear coat of polish which we could have done ourselves. read more

Tru got me in on a moments notice. My nail person retired and I needed a new nail home ASAP. I am not a fan of the "drill" and prefer filing. Drill did bite me once and she was extremely careful after that. I will give it another try. $50 for a new set of pink and white acrylics and $25 for the fill is a little steep but my nails look fantastic and are very "tough" as Tru told me they would be! read more

I went here a few months back for a pedicure and acrylics. I was a walk-in so the half hour wait did not bother me. Once in the chair for my pedicure they had a young boy start doing my toes. About 5 mins into my pedicure the owner comes up to the young man and instructs him to go over to another woman and start doing her pedicure right in the middle of mine. After that I then sat there for about 20-30 mins with my feet just dangling in the water which was now cold at this point. As I was about to just get up an leave a women comes over and does a half ass job at finishing my pedicure at this point I was livid and did not even wait around to have my acrylics done. I recommend either top-line nails or nail pro. They have been in Flemington for years and they never let me down. read more

friendly staff. but my fill in was rushed. nails were uneven, acrylic was very thick on some nails and not on the others. some not filed correctly and my cuticles weren't trimmed at all. two days after my fill in, the gel polish started to lift off and after 6 days I picked it all off. it has been 8 days now and two nails haven broken. I have never had this bad of luck with acrylics, I usually go 3-4 weeks between fill ins. but now will have to go only after 8 days. the staff is nice but the attention to detail is not there... will not return. read more

Called around 6pm and they close at 7. They had me come in around 6:15 for a spa pedicure and a gel manicure. Pedicure was clean, and the tech was very polite. He really took good care of my feet and even my legs up to my knees. He paid good attention to detail. My manicure was rushed. I didn't get my fingers soaked before hand and I don't know if they do that here or not, it was my first visit. But this made it hurt when he ( another tech) did my manicure. He actually hurt my cuticles and seemed very annoyed that he was still working so close to closing even though two other customers were still getting their nails done. Other than him sitting in complete silence, which is ok, he did a nice job with the actual painting and my nails look very nice. He did not however open new sterile utensils in the packaging to use on my nails even though he had one sitting right on the table, he took his tools out of a drawer instead, and that's why I gave three stars. I hope it was a fluke that they didn't use sterile tools as I really liked my pedicure, but I'm hesitant to go back for a manicure. read more
