Went to this place to get a regular pedicure and gel manicure for short nails. Pedicurist was nice and did a good job and passed me over to the technician who not only did a HORRIBLE JOB but looked at it and said it looked "good". The gel was uneven, the tips were looking discolored, she didn't even cleaned the color around and I had to ask her to clean it up! When she finished she said "okay is $70". I paid, walked outside and looked at my nails in the sun, went back and asked the other technician if my nails were supposed to look like that. She asked me to sit and redo them! They still look messy around but at least the gel is even and shiny as it should be. Will never go back to this overpriced and horrible service place!

I chose Clinton Nail Spa for two reasons. The previous reviews and the location. Overall I love the way my toes look, the pedicure itself was mediocre. I decided on gel polish instead of regular so the pedicure ended up costing $40 plus tip. Not sure what the going rate is but a regular pedicure price was listed as $25. I know gel is extra but worth $15 extra? Also, previous reviews mention a hot stone massage included. I did not receive that. Maybe bc I ordered gel polish, maybe my technician forgot, not sure. So I was slightly disappointed. I was a walk-in and was seen right away which was nice. Overall I've had better pedicures. Nothing special here.

My boyfriend had a pedicure And I Had a manicure and pedicure. Very neat work. Hot stones and wax with pedicure. Recommend trying out. They also do massages. We were both very happy. We will be back again.

Worst $50 manicure ever. Gel is lifting after only 1 week.

I am new to the Clinton area and decided to go here based on the reviews for this nail salon. I called ahead to make sure they had time for a gel manicure and was assured to please come in. I arrive at 6:10 pm and was warmly greeted and quickly sat down. I let Kim know what I wanted and asked the price. She replied $35. She began hurrying through my manicure and was watching the clock the entire time to make sure she got finished as soon as possible. She went so fast that I questioned how good the manicure would be. She finished my manicure by 6:45 and told me it would be $50!! I felt sick to my stomach, paid and quickly left. I thought if the manicure lasted for 3 to 4 weeks like the last one I had done (at a diff salon) then it would be worth it. Exactly one week later the gel is lifting and my $50 manicure looks horrible. Save your money and don't go here!!

This is the result of her "fixing" the mistake she made

My technician, Joy, rushed and was rough with me. She left my nails a mess and her attitude sucked. Won't be going back.

I agree with the other reviewers that the regular pedicure feels like a spa pedicure with all the extras.

Pretty clean, and there are a lot of stations and full staff. However, the nail polish selection was small compared to other places I've been. I think what turned me off was the person doing my pedicure. She kept sharing her opinions on things I didn't ask about. I'm willing to give the place another try, but with another person. For a $25 pedicure, it is what it is!

So annoyed ~ trekked out in the pouring rain to get pedicure and the girl left early sick. I get it People get sick Things happen However, there's at least a dozen if not more of people working there and not one of them had the common decency to text me to say my person left early sick and another can take you, but we're running about 30 minutes where has common courtesy gone I get it, they do so much repeat business and walk ins that they don't have to be decent human beings and be thoughtful of others and their time I left another event to go be a good customer and had they had the common decency and common sense to take 30-seconds out of their day to alert me of the change , I would have been 100% fine with it The lack of communication is disappointing

I was given to a women who didnt speak a lick of English. I picked my color, but was rushed to the chair. I understand it's late, but I want a color I'm happy with! I didn't have time to get the sparkle polish to go over my color. Last visit the girl got me the perfect sparkles and we called it a day. Let me just tell you this nightmare. I have natural nails. Only gel polish. I am trying to grow them because they were doing awful because they were grinded with that machine down to paper thin, and I could only wear nailtiques to try and revive them. I've been growing them out for about a year with only Esse polish, and keeping them short. So begins my journey to try and grow them again. Last week being my first visit for gel in over a year. I choose NY Nails to be my salon of choice. It's $35 for a gel manicure. Back to last night's visit. The woman soaks off my previous gel polish, scraping it off very heavy handed and borderline painful. I keep my mouth shut. I did flinch and say "ow" once. She just nodded. Then she said something... I only assumed based on the stage we were on the manicure, she may have been asking whether I wanted them cut, or filed, and what shape. So I just say, filed and square. Another girl working there confirmed she did ask me what I thought. Again, it had literally no resemblance to any words I even know in the English language, or even when I turn on my accent ear. I had nothing. I normally do pretty good. Anyway, she begins filing aggressively my natural nails on the tops. I'm thinking I should say stop, but maybe she sees something I dont? I just said I think my nails will be ok with one filing, I hope. After all of the aggressive prep, comes the polish. First the clear nail base. After which I said, should I go get the glitter polish? She smiles and nods and points at a bottle on her table. I figured she didn't understand me. She then puts on one, then two coats of the pink. I then say, now the glitter? She says "one more" (which I crazily understood), and I said ok, if you think it needs it. I said then the glitter? And she smiled and nodded. Then she finishes with all the pink, and grabs the bottle she keeps pointing to. Only to find that it's clear. She puts it on my pinky... that's when I say "I guess I'm not getting glitter today?" She ignored me all together. I said it again, "No glitter?" She ignored me again, kept polishing and digging her fingernail into the sides of my nail to clear any overflow. Then it was over. She started putting lotion on my arms and hands. At this point I felt defeated. She got up to go somewhere in the back, when I got up and decided to look for glitter myself. I went to find it, and there she was all of a sudden standing next to me, smiling... I said slowly "GLITTER" "You forgot about the glitter!" "I wanted glitter". She then says "sorry" and giggles. Then we try to find an appropriate glitter. Mind you, there is already one extra layer of polish over the norm on my nails. We find a suitable glitter. She was good with one coat, and I said "one more" this time, because you could hardly see it. What's the point at that point? She does the 2 coats... Now it's about 8:10 p.m. and the place closes at 8:00 p.m. She's rushing and probably flustered from the young woman standing over inspecting her work and digging her nail into the sides of my nail trying to remove the overflow. Which is pretty bad at this point. So, after 2 glitter coats, now another top coat. So, my nails have a base coat, 3 coats of color, a top coat, two coats of glitter and another top coat for good measure. 8 coats of gel polish, I look like I have wavy nails now. So ugly. Ok if you see them from far away, but upon a closer look, it's alot of "oh's". Yeah. So being as I had to use the ATM and pay almost $4.00 for the transaction fee, and not allowed to take out $50, instead have to take out $60, and getting only $5 back from the $40... They weren't interested in giving me change, so basically forced the $10 out of me for a tip. I love tipping when tipping is earned. When the manicure is amazing and I'm happy. But when it's really bad and looks like the top of a humpback whale, I should've gotten the whole thing for FREE. If I return here, because I do love their pedicures, I will make darn sure that I do NOT ever get this woman to touch me ever again. When you walk in, she sits in the first row to the left, the first table towards the middle (not against the wall). If I had to guess, I'd say she was in her late 60's or 70's. Be warned. A picture is worth a thousand words. See below.
