I've been a client at Re Salon for quite a while now. I really like the salon and the people who work there. But especially after a couple of visits with Arturo (hair styling, haircut), I finally felt the urge to leave a review. He is so good at what he does that you can sense that he is a natural in this field right away. He is an extremely capable and creative professional. He can profile you right away (in a good way :)) with the techniques he was taught and gives you the best results you can ask for every time. He not only is very personable and genuinely pleasant to work with, he also is not afraid to give constructive, sensible suggestions and feedback on what the client is trying to achieve. I went to Re salon for about 3-4 years and never had a problem, until the last time I went. My roots did not match the rest of my hair after being colored. I mentioned it to the stylist and she told me to give it a few days and if I still felt the same way to come back. I came back to have it fixed and they charged me full price ($90), even tho I had just spent $250 getting it done there a week prior!!!! When I said it was re-service, they offered to take off $10 (which was not a reasonable discount). When I tried to rectify the situation with the salon owner (Lindsay), she wouldn't return my multiple phone calls or messages. I called 3-4 times without any return call!!! And when I finally did talk to her, she asked if I would come in to discuss with happened with her and the stylist so we could rectify the situation. She would not give me my $ back and seemed unconcerned with my keeping my business. I was shocked by the lack or professionalism and extremely poor customer service.I really want to go back because its hard to find a good stylist, but how can I after an awful experience like that??? ***Heather is a great stylist tho!!! Sara is amazing and I couldn't have had a better experience. She takes the time to really understand the problems you're having to come up with the most effective solutions. Not only is she incredible knowledgeable, but she is someone you feel like you've known for years in just a few minutes. Her team is always training on the latest and greatest procedures. I had a brown spot on my cheek removed with the BBL photofacial that nothing had worked on prior--and I had tried everything! hydroquinone, IPL, retinol, etc. Sara paid attention to what I said and raised the setting for these areas because the last thing she wanted was for me to be disappointed again. Another thing I enjoy about Re vs. other salons I've visited is the fact that they don't push their products on you. They genuinely tell you what is a necessity and what isn't. Which I love, because ladies we know this stuff isn't cheap. Even down to the front desk staff, they are always without fail going to ask me how I'm doing, if I want something to drink and I've never had to wait. I had a one hour full body hot stone massage and a full foot scrub, wrap and massage. It was hands down the best experience. The music was perfect tone , lighting was amazing and when the hour was up I didn't want to get off the table!!! She found and was able to fix every problem spot I had. She also does a shiatsu!!! Love this place! I've had a few different skincare services here and have been pleased with all of them. Most recently, I went in for a Perfection Peel (Lauren administered the peel, she was awesome) and I have noticed great results. I had been going here for a couple years and had been doing the balayage hair color but decided I didn't like it. The color was inconsistent and some parts of my hair went from dark to light to dark to light in multiple places. I have been blonde (thank you hair color) for 20 years and wanted to go back to that. I showed pics and ideas and the hair stylist told me 3 different reasons why I couldn't be blond. That it would take multiple processes and the bleach would ruin my hair, and that the darker hair would be a different color, and any dye from before would also not be able to be colored.... Then it turned into "the appointment was for full foils" when I called to make the appointment I stated I want to be all over blond again so whatever that takes, I can't help what was scheduled in the system. She said she would do all over foils but it would take a while because she wasn't very good at them. I should have ran out! I also had to pay for the appointment before she was done. After I paid and she was taking the foils out I said "This doesn't look very blond to me". And the response was that there wasn't enough time and I would've lost a lot of length, and then if I didn't want foils I should have stopped her before the service started. Oh and I was lighter than when I came in was another... as she was cutting my hair. The cut turned out fine, but the color was not good. I was light on the ends from balayage and then striped like a zebra on top from foil. I did get a review request from the salon and submitted that, no one, not even a manager called me to apologize or try to make it right. That appointment was on 9/4. read more

I absolutely love this salon. I always saw Dash for my color and she is incredible. Since moving away, I've been searching everywhere for a stylists that can work miracles like Dash, to no avail. The next time I'm in Charlotte, this will be my first stop. You have to try this place out. They can take a color gone wrong and turn it into something beautiful. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Brittany Sneed is the best!!!! She consulted with me about what to do about my hair color which I thought was a botched job, but then I am very picky about my hair and especially the color. She is like a "gene in a bottle" as she fixed it and now my hair looks great!!! I feel like I have found the perfect stylist, because Brittany is a true professional. I have gone to Re Salon and Med Spa numerous times for facials, hair coloring and hair cut. The facials are inconsistent because the staff changes and of course each aesthetician has their own opinion on what treatment course should be taken. I have seen one for the last three months and she does not remember me from previous visits. Each time, I feel like a brand new client. This does not instill confidence in the credibility of care. My hair color has been by Arthur which is great. He is very friendly and personable. My hair cuts have been by Jesse which initially were very good when my hair was long but when he needed to reshape a short cut, I left disappointed. Today, I went in for a short cut/reshape with Michelle and was ready to cry in the seat before she finished. I told her I liked my back wispy, not blunt, and do not like my sides thick/wide but piecey. I like it to look more feminine than boyish. When she got ready to blow dry and style my hair, I asked if she was finished cutting because the sides were wide and thick, the top looked like a bad toupe and the back felt short and blunt. After many failed attempts to correct the blob of a cut, I was just ready to get out. My hair cut looks like a bowl has been placed over my head and cut around the perimeter and then thinned out a bit. I go to a salon to relax and let the "professionals" do their work. I am willing to pay the higher prices for a higher quality of service but find that Re Salon and Med Spa fails in delivering a higher quality. Parking is valet service which is very professional and friendly but it puts you on the spot to have to tip which increases the cost. Speaking of tips, if you present a charge/debit card to pay for services, plan to have cash because they do not allow you to add the tip to the credit card. You can use their ATM machine to get cash for the tip for a surcharge. The reason is because the service provider does not get the tip until the end of the month after Re Salon settles with the credit card company. My suggestion to Re Salon is to set up a larger cash drawer/bank and to give the service provider cash for the tip charged on the credit card and let the credit card company settle with Re Salon and Med Spa at the end of the month. This should not be the burden of your patron. read more

Jessica at Re Salon is amazing! I have long blonde hair and finding someone who can do highlights subtly has always been tricky. Since I've moved here I've struggled to find someone good, one person at a different salon added a red tint to my blonde highlights?? (which was terrible). Every time I go to Jessica she does an amazing job, when people see me after getting my hair done I always get "wow!". She also has really great ideas, during this last visit I was bored of wearing it the same way since high school and she suggested that we go shorter with balayage color instead of the traditional foil highlights that always show my roots badly when I wait too long to get it done- it looks great! She gives me pointers on how to style it at home, what tools and products I should use for my type of hair, and even how to get it detangled when it's wet and nearly impossible to brush because its so fine (the wet brush). She's also a really nice person to be around, I do a lot of listening and talking and interacting with other people for work and when I'm out getting my hair done that is my time to decompress and sometimes I just need to sit in silence, or sleep lol, which might be weird to some stylists, but Jessica is really great at not being pushy and giving you what you need. Also, I can't say enough about her style, she really has a great eye and understands what would go well with your face shape, body, skin tone etc. She's in tune with the latest trends and won't give you a dated look. The salon is a bit pricey for me, but because I've tried other "experts in blonde hair" at other salons in the area and gotten terrible results, like red streaks, it's really worth the extra money to see Jessica and have a classy and stylish cut with subtle blonde highlights that don't look fake and tacky. read more

After a very stressful week, Re Salon was the perfect place to RElax. I went for the Hot Stone session with a the foot treatment with Mare Kaguyutan. We started out with a sea salt soak. Then she applied the foot scrub while massaging my sore feet. I was so impressed with the level of detail. When she was done with my feet she literally rolled out the carpet for me to walk comfortably to the massage bed. The bed (I think they call it a table but to me it was like a bed). It was so plush and comfortably warm. From there she worked my tired shoulders with the soothing stones. I had a lot of stress in my back which massaged away with ease. The whole experience was just what I needed. The hot towels on my feet and peppermint mint oil was a good culmination to the massage. I can't wait to go back and try her Ashiatsu massage next time I go! Thank you Mare. You are my go to massage therapist for sure! read more

Excellent Staff, Amazing Products and Fabulous Results! I recently followed my hair stylist to Re and was blown away. Their product line for haircare, Phyto, is amazing. I have never seen my hair with as much volume and life before switching over to these products. After my hair appointment, I was given the grand tour of the spa area. This space is gorgeous! They have a serenity room for relaxation, technologies to analyze your face and recommend corrective product, and a list of services to please anyone. I absolutely love this salon and spa!!!! I have been searching Charlotte to find someone who can cut my thick hair and I was looking for a new color as well. Jesse cut my hair and Andrew did my color, both were wonderful! They worked well together to find cut and color that complimented each other perfectly and now I wont go anywhere else! Shortly after moving to Charlotte I became in desperate need of a makeover. My hair was very long and because I hadn't had it trimmed in a while the ends were looking extreeeemely rough. I decided that I wanted to start fresh and have it all chopped off. Since I am very picky about my hair I didn't want to go to just any old salon. So after reading other reviews I decided to try Re Salon and Spa. I didn't request any one in particular so I was put with Brittany. I got so lucky because she gave me the best haircut I have ever had! I was really nervous about going short since all my previous attempts at a short style had failed epically. But Brittany gave me a long bob that looks amazing, is easy to style, and is very versatile. Not only is she an extremely nice person but she really took her time to figure out what style would be best for me and to make sure the cut was perfect. I am so excited because I am going back to Brittany for a bayalage color application today! :) Brittany had done bayalage to her own hair and it looks amazing. Racheal is amazing! Never did I imagine that I would feel thankful for having an emergency root canal. Sounds crazy I know! But, I had to cancel my color appointment because of my dental procedure and then called RE Salon desperately wanting to come in before I saw my family for Thanksgiving. Luckily, they had one appointment left and it was with Racheal Fox. I decided to read her bio on the site and was really excited to meet her, not knowing if the bio was all talk or truthful. Ladies, it was the truth! She is a stylist/colorist from heaven! From the moment Racheal greeted me, till the time I left the salon, I felt completely comfortable, at ease and excited about my new look and everything that I had learned. I felt like we had known each other for years! She took the time to sit down and talk about my hair, the current color, my likes and dislikes and was able to interpret my gibberish and tell me exactly what we needed to do and why. During the entire process, start to finish, she was able to educate me on every step, product, best tips, what not to do etc. I could tell she actually cared that I improved the health of my hair and that she wanted to help me work towards my goal of long, healthy blonde hair. It was easy to realize she wasn't trying to get me to just spend money. Instead, she gave me several different options and prices and made sure I was 100% comfortable with what we would do. Re Salon is outstanding. Having moved to Charlotte from New York almost a decade ago, I was worried that I wouldn't find the quality that I was used to in Manhattan. I was lucky enough to find Jane; at the time she began doing my hair, she worked at another establishment. When she moved to Re several years go, I followed her there. She is simply amazing. My hair tends to be frizzy and reacts terribly to humidity, but her blowouts last for days. I am naturally a dark brunette, but she's kept me blonde - safely and gently - for years. My hair goes through cycles where I lose quite a bit of it over the course of a few months, but her haircuts always make me look my best. And if you're looking for someone to make you feel special at the same time she's making you look fabulous, Jane is your stylist. The salon itself is lovely and full of atmosphere; all the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I've also had my makeup down by Arthur, which was a real treat. He took 10 years off my face. I'm moving back to the northeast soon and will be very sad to lose access to this treasure! read more
