I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience at this salon. After receiving haircuts for myself and my daughter, the salon later attempted to retroactively charge us more because of our hair type--something they were fully aware of before the appointment. I had even provided photos of my daughter's hair in advance, so there was no surprise or misunderstanding. Further, the "master" stylist was very rude and accusatory when he approached me about retroactively charging us. Mind you he was the one I showed the pictures to, as well as the one who submitted the payment slips to the young women at the front desk. Changing prices after the fact is unfair and unacceptable. It also raises serious concerns about discriminatory pricing practices. Customers deserve transparency and honesty, not hidden or after-the-fact charges. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who values professionalism, fairness, and respect. read more

I scheduled an appointment for relaxer; the relaxer was $150. I thought this was much, but I haven't had a relaxer in a year due to being pregnant, however if I'm paying $150, I expect my end to be trimmed and my hair styled, not just relaxed and flat ironed. The shop is beautiful salon and the staff is friendly, but not worth the price. Shoot they don't even offer you wine or anything for those prices I need a message chair & at least a glass of wine or water. read more

I wanted my hair blown out but got a strange response from these people saying and I'm quoting 'That they don't do Africa hair''. They assumed a lot and I'm glad I didn't visit (I'd already gotten my hair done) but I don't think that this is the type of establishment that I'd want to go to.. I REALLY needed a new look and quick for an upcoming party. I got an immediate consultation with Alex that took one look at my hair and knew what to do. A few days later I was in the chair and to say that I am 100% satisfied is putting it mildly. My hair and color look great! The service for what he had to work with was realatively short in time. I had a first time new client cut by Molouk. The cut was much shorter than the photo of me with previous cut I wanted . The really frustrating part is it's a bowl but on top/ short, with length on the sides. It's growing out so bad -(which if you've had great haircuts you know is the sign of a great cut- the way it grows out. ) This cut was $100+ not worth it. read more

I moved to Charlotte from NJ in 2018 and it wasn't until this year that I found a place where I can trust someone with my hair! I was thoroughly impressed by the covid safety precautions of this place and their wonderful service. I went to Mo2 for a haircut after the phase to re-open hair salons happened. My hair was a mess with split ends etc since it had been awhile so I sucked it up and made an appointment. I was afraid to go in but I was really relieved with the amount care they took to make sure everyone was safe. They were specific about their check ins so there weren't too many people there all at once. Everyone was masked, there was 6 ft distancing between customers and air filter machines. I felt really safe there even though I was very apprehensive at first. Moving onto the haircut- I don't think I will go to anybody else other than Mohsen after he did wonders with my hair. I am picky about my hair and had quite a few specifications and Mohsen listened and asked if everything was looking the way I wanted every step of the way. I wasn't afraid to share my thoughts and he was really attentive about what I asked for. He even taught me a few tricks on how to make my hair look perfect when I'm on my own! ! I was so happy and received many compliments from friends and family afterwards. Also the trick he taught me (I asked for wispy bangs) was a life savior as getting bangs to look good after a shower can be extremely frustrating!) If you want an amazing haircut and plenty of helpful advice for your hair to go along with it, I would highly recommend this place and Mohsen! read more

Second time here but first time seeing Molouk and I was very pleased. She was easy to talk to and though I'm not super chatty, she didn't push conversation. In regards to the cut, She listened to what I wanted and also provided her own input which was appreciated. I was a little anxious initially as I was cutting my mid-back length hair down to a bob but I was glad I did. Highly recommend. read more

After reading this website's reviews, I made an appointment with this salon's Asian stylist, JIA. I had my hair cut by a friend's stylist for a long time, so I searched for a salon for the first time in a while. I finally found JIA and got my hair cut. She is a quiet type, but her technique is excellent, she has a lot of knowledge, and when I asked her how to style it, she answered a lot of questions. Blown away by the stylish color results that Mohsen created! I went in for a last minute consultation on a Friday afternoon searching for help correcting my flat hair color. Thankfully my expectations were exceeded beyond anything I could've imagine. All I kept saying as I saw the color develop was, "I'm so excited!" I was speechless except for that phrase. I now feel like I have magazine worthy hair and am absolutely delighted. The nicest part was the staff of the salon being excited for me too. The atmosphere of the salon itself was relaxing and the staff were courteous. During my visit I was able to recharge and wasn't bombarded with loud music or conversations. When I noticed Mohsen had done a wonderful job on another 'Jersey Girl' in the pictures I booked a haircut. And waited 2.5 months for my appointment around Christmas. Worth the wait. He nailed my 'Swedish Blonde' color and my NJ stylist is a tad jealous someone other than her could do proper highlights on my tiresome, mousey, fine hair. (Sorry Gerdi.....) The cut can use a bit of refinement but this was my first visit and it takes a while to understand a new customer's follicle patterns. The blonde color has remained true and I wash my hair everyday so that is the big test and yes, 'youse guys' passed. So, notice to New Jersey and NY transplants - a good place to come if you want the expertise of your back home stylist. Prices match the quality, this is not discount, so expect 'back home' cost as well. read more

I've been going to MO2 for years now. Coming from DC, it was incredibly hard to find a stylist in CLT who could do both color (highlight) and cut. Most here could only do one or the other. I've been pleased w the professionalism and consistency of MO2. The price is fair for the quality. read more

Did not have a pleasant experience, after moving I figured it was safe to try another davines salon and get my roots fixed after quarantine. I'm a natural brunette who is dyed blonde. The owner was doing my hair and spent the entire time convincing me to dye my hair more brunette instead of listening to me in any way. I'm no stranger to salons and he kept shutting me down even though I knew exactly what I wanted and how he should have gone about it. After paying $195 for nothing to change except my roots to be 1 shade lighter (still brown) he wanted me to come in AGAIN in 2 days to spend more money to dye the rest of my blonde hair brown. I did get a fantastic haircut there initially and then it was botched by a junior stylist and worked on weekly for months by the senior stylists, who maybe didn't care as much as I did about my time and self esteem:) Finally, I was referred to MO2 by two trusted others who have gone faithfully to this salon for years and make hefty commutes to have her hairS DID. This is my first experience with the Davines products which are luxurious. Alicia cut and colored my hair. Consulting with Moshen; Together they made great progress in restoring my to the shape it was- before the 5 months of DL-cut and color debacleS. MO2 is my salon! I signed up for yelp just so I could leave this review. I brought my 12 YO daughter here first for a cut then for a color. We had done some experiments during Covid that needed to be fixed. Elmira gave her the best haircut ever, no more tangles but even more than that it is the perfect trendy cut that looks good without any work. They color is beautiful.
