I decided to give it a try this salon as it is close to my neighborhood. The stylist did my consultation and then the owner came over to do a second consultation. I wouldn't have minded the second consult, but I did get an overall impression the owner was trying to ensure the stylist did a proper consult. The stylist was new to the salon, so I assumed it was part of her training. The salon chair felt cheap and comfortable, as did the shampoo bowl. My original chair's electrical wasn't working so I had to be moved for my blow dry. When I was moved, the stylist had no cart to hold her supplies, causing her to have to rest the blow dryer/ clips toward the floor. There was loud construction happening, which certainly didn't contribute to a relaxing experience, but, I recognize that these things happen. While the above mentioned aren't ideal or my typical experience, they were not deal breakers for me. I requested a root touch up with all new growth covered. I explained I like a highlight with a base break to which the stylist said she could accomplish. The new highlight color didn't match the lower half of my hair color. Most importantly, it didn't appear as if I even had fresh highlights! The blow dry happened with a cheap blow dryer and the "blow out" looked like a like no round brush was even used. From consultation to checking out, I was there for over four hours. I have had my hair highlighted for 15 years- it shouldn't take more than 2.5 hours. My total was $224, for a new-to-career stylist. I don't mind the price for quality work but I walked out not looking much different than I came in. My hair gets one star. I gave a second star because the owner, the front desk girl, and my stylist were all very kind and polite. read more

Hesitating to leave this review because overall the end result was good and my stylist was incredibly nice. HOWEVER, as seen in the photo, the process was a nightmare for me. I want to preface this by saying my hair was already blonde when I came in, I simply needed a refresh. The first thing I told my stylist is that I'm facing hair loss due to COVID and so my already thin hair is now extremely thin. My (already blonde hair) was in bleach and foils for 3 HOURS and not once did my stylist check the foils to see how it was processing and then subsequently put it under heat. The amount of hair I lost during this ordeal is devastating. I've never seen hair so tangled in my life, so you can imagine the amount of hair I lost during the detangling process. As seen in the photo, I also lost several inches due to damage. (This ended up making the results look fine because most of the damaged hair was cut or fell out during detangling.) I paid $260 for damaged, chopped hair because my stylist also used extra bowls of bleach. I've never had a stylist use more than 1 bowl (even when first starting out from natural hair to blonde because my hair is so thin) and my stylist used 3! I'm absolutely not trying to trash this salon as I saw many amazing results come out of the salon that day, but still wanted to share my personal experience. read more

I'm rating OA Salons a two based on my overall experience. I found this salon online, so I knew I was taking a risk. My stylist was Mya and she was OK. From entry, I was greeted and only waited maybe 5-min before I was seated with Mya. There was a gentleman stylist who complimented me, and he was super sweet! Good vibes. Mya asked me what I wanted, I told her a solid color dark/warm brown, and a layered cut shaping my face but not all around because I don't like the choppy look, and unfortunately that's when everything started to get awkward! She brought out color samples for me to show her exactly what I wanted, and I did! The most frustrating thing is when a stylist doesn't listen to the client!! She kept telling me I was wrong and I wouldn't like that color. I ended up just saying yeah, sure to the brown she kept pushing for. My color came out OK, not bad, just not the brown I wanted. She did the same thing when it came to my cut! I was explaining what I wanted and she kept telling me no, that's not what I want?! Like WTH lady- I'm telling you what I want?! The owner had to come and finish my cut because she could see I wasn't happy. The worst thing for me was the gossip. During all of this it was very clear they were talking about me and it made me feel uncomfortable. I normally would chop this up as a first time experience and move on, but what I cannot move on from is bad vibes! Even as I checked out the girl literally gave me a disgusted look! Wtf I just spent over $200 to listen to a stylist tell me no several times and others gossip about me and glare at me as they walked by! Even to their clients who then halted, looked, and whispered. Mind you, I was pretty quiet lol it's not like I was loud or rude at any point in time, so none of that was necessary. Just really uncomfortable and bad vibes. I won't be returning. If you read this until the end, please know, the owner is really sweet- she cuts well and LISTENS to the client. The male stylist was kind and welcoming. The others- not so much. If you don't care about the atmosphere this is a good place for you. Overall cut and color was good. read more

Well I found this salon online. I know I took a risk because I didn't know anyone who had been there before. I read many excellent reviews about the salon and about Olga. She is an excellent professional Even though I don't speak English as my first language, I can communicate very well, unfortunately I couldn't schedule an appointment with her. I chose another hairdresser and unfortunately my experience was not good. I tried for the third time on March 4, 2022 to have a balayage and a haircut. I didn't have a good experience. When the hair stylist went to wash my hair at the Shampoo Bowl, the assistant who was helping the hair stylist, she was super gentle and careful when removing the foils and washing. After she was done, my hair stylist placed a towel on the back of my head as a pillow and came with extra Color Toner to put in my hair. So far so good Until the hair stylist went to rinse off the toner. He lifted my neck to rinse my hair well, then water began to drip all over my shirt, my pants, and even my underwear. I was soaked in water, all wet and nervous. The hair stylist tried to dry my back with the hairdryer and it didn't work. So I asked for an extra towel to put on my back, which also didn't help as there was a lot of water. The hair stylist, dried my hair and paid no attention to my cut. that I had requested. The balayage again was not what I ordered. I don't even want to look at myself in the mirror because I always cry. I paid $265+ tip to have my hair different than what I asked for, it was very wet and cold. I left the salon crying, had to cancel my schedule for the day and go home. I have never had an experience like this when washing my hair. The experience was bad for me. The salon is beautiful, Olga is an excellent professional. But I had no luck with the other hair stylist there. But that was my experience and I don't want to go back, to try it again, or get my hair done like I asked. read more

I was so please with the service I received. I felt I was being heard on what I wanted and Alex was AMAZING! Well I had saw Olga on Groupon so I decided to give her a try. I called and mentioned Groupon she said that was no longer valid. But she was nice so I made an appointment. I told her I wanted layers so I could leave it and just let it dry or I could blow dry it. I told her I didn't want the length taken off, but she said she would have to take some off and I agreed. Both sides look different and the top has random long pieces, I tried to blow dry what I have left and it just sits there. She didn't seem to understand what I wanted and I should have taken that as a warning. The haircut is nothing like I wanted. Olga is a nice person but she does not have enough experience. I'm not trying to be mean but layering hair should be hair101 and if you can't do that maybe go back to school. The cut cost me $75 and I still tipped $15 because I'm in the industry but I was not one bit happy. I'm going to have to wait another 6 months before I can try to fix it. Olga did tell me to come back if I found that I wanted her to fix something but I fear if I went back I would have no hair when I left. read more

During my appointment i had nothing to complain about the girl doing my hair was very sweet, constantly making sure i was okay and asking if i wanted a drink ect. i booked my appointment for a balayage and was told my hair would not lift as much as i wanted due to previous hair dye which was expected. after she was done i was very happy with the turn out. when being checked out i was SHOCKED with the price. the balayage was listed as "starting at 175" that only comes with 2 bowls of dye, not knowing i'd be charged for each additional bowl of dye she had to mix up and she used a heavy hand scooping the bleach as well. also not told that toner was not included in my service. my $175 service turned into a $350 service! with tip i left spending $400 on my hair for it to look barely different because it didn't lift much. after the first wash my hair is left absolutely fried and is breaking off by the second. so upset that the health of my hair is completely ruined. read more
