I guess we got lucky this time because last time I was visiting my family in New Jersey about a year year and a half ago the food we got from this place was so lackluster compared to my experience with so many Primo restaurants. I remember being told at that time that this place is consistently backed up, has a huge amount of turnover, and they never produce anything on time and it is normally haphazard. Now when you're playing close to almost $20 for a sub and you got a lot of nieces and nephews that tends to add up. When I ordered from Uber eats this time for a couple of my nephews, everything was spot on. The food tasted to me like it did for five years ago. We got everything pretty much on time. I don't know if it's new ownership, or new people working there, or maybe I just got freaking lucky but the staff and the quality of items lived up to expectations this time. Primo's is a south jersey staple and even though it looks like a jersey mikes I prefer jersey mikes honestly. The italian was your standard italian. Good solid freshly cut sub or shall I say hoagie. Only tried this place once. Had slices of their chicken cutlet subs at parties before, which were great, but this corned beef sub was in a league of its own. Packed with meat, incredible seeded roll that held up impressively well to the slaw (not soggy the next day). Just all around fantastic hoagie. I am giving one star because the hoagies are always great. My issue is with the very poor service and a belittling, yelling owner. It is National Hoagie Day, so one would think this owner would have been prepared for larger than usual orders, online, via phone and in person customers. A hard working young man was the sole person to take in person orders, answer the phone for questions and orders and for hoagie pickup. I entered the store with a long line. The young man was doing his best to handle all of this, all the while being yelled at and berated by the owner. I waited in line for 45 minutes, listening to this awful owner. Today is Super Bowl Sunday and I called another location for them to say they're too busy with a line out the door before they even opened and it would be a 2 hour wait to get two small hoagies made which I understand but was told to call another location (Sicklervile) which I did. The guy at this location was pleasant but they were bombarded with orders so I'm glad he was honest about the wait time. AL at the Sicklervile location was pleasant but again I was told that it would be a two hour wait. Right afterwards he says "you know what, what are you trying to order?" I said just two small hoagies for the kids. He said "give me a half hour I'll get it done for you". I was so happy that even with the busiest day of the year that he would take a few minutes extra to accommodate my order that is why I'm taking a few minutes to acknowledge how wonderful this location is and how great customer service was from AL. I order from here periodically and generally really enjoy my sandwich. I have to say that they need a better process for wrapping sandwiches so the bread doesn't become soggy- and the process needs to be the STANDARD. There's nothing worse when you're craving a good sandwich and upon unwrapping it's soggy. If the bread weren't soggy I'd give 5 stars for sure. read more

Ordered Turkey and Cheese Primo today(9/18/21). I must say it was not that great! The roll was falling apart, the tomatoes were not fresh, and the way the sandwich was made was down right horrible. I've been seeing Primo Hoagies' billboard ads for so many years now but never got the chance to try it. However, on this specific day, I stumbled upon Primo on DoorDash and decided to give it a try. I was very hungry and I ordered the Big T primo hoagie along with a delicious looking dirt pudding. To be honest, the hoagie's flavor and quality was above average but did not meet my expectations. The bread was good, a little hard, but I love sesame rolls. The meat and cheese were very well proportioned. The hoagie did not have any condiments though :(. The dirt pudding was good - the pudding to "dirt" ratio was a good balance and it was very enjoyable. Overall, Primo's does serve a pretty good hoagie, would likely try it again. read more

Holy smokes! Primos has the best hoagies this side of the bridge. Their bread is second to none and they definitely don't skimp on portions. I'm a huge fan of the turkey, but others have raved about nonas and the Diablo's. Can't go wrong with a primos, especially since Wawa has declined over the past decade. read more

Oh my goodness. Upon arriving in New Jersey for our vacation, we kept seeing billboards for this place. We thought about it for days and planned our order for a certain day. The sandwiches didnt disappoint. They are just exactly perfect. Cannot touch anything they have in Houston. Tons of meat and the bread is out of this world. As we sat on a battlefield picnic table in Gettysburg enjoying this splendor, there was silence and we just savored our lunch. Madison the waitress was sweet and helpful. Love this location. I've been here a handful of times in the last year and will continue to be a customer. The food is delicious and my orders are always correct. The staff are professional, friendly and prompt. I had called and inquired about a last minute catering order. They accommodated me, no problem. It meant a lot. This is my favorite Primo shop, the staff is always friendly and they remember my name! My sandwich is always heavy, the veggies are crisp, the BREAD! ALWAYS taste and feel so FRESH. I also Love the rice pudding it's always fresh and never over sweet and soggy and the perfect amount of cinnamon. Oh wait! And it's always clean and they have such a huge variety potato chips. Don't get me wrong, The hoagies were delicious!! We ordered the Crusher with extra shooters ($2), With lettuce and onions and the Veggie Diablo with lettuce tomato's and onions. Been going to their Sicklerville location for years. They recently moved into a bigger building (within the same complex) and it's really a whole different atmosphere. I'd have never thought before to stay and eat at Primos, since they've been primarily a to-go spot. But their new venue has plenty of space and many tables. It's beautifully done and really allows for them to expand their counter service to accommodate the game day crowds. Sandwiches are similar to other locations and staff is always friendly. read more

Just left here because the front counter young lady was extremely rude and arrogant. Will not be going back ever again to any primos ever.

Soooo, I get an E mail from PRIMO's today 5/5/21 stating it is National Hoagie Day (Don't know who donned today NHD?). I made my order online because it is a fifteen minute or twenty minute drive and figured it'd be ready by the time I arrived. The order was placed at 11:41. I arrived about 12:05....my ticket said that delivery pick up time was 12:26.....I patiently waited all that time realizing I was early. The place was jam packed and they wanted to have the line start where the only opened door was. Meanwhile, outside it starts pouring rain and the counter girl locks all the doors except for the furthest door. No signs on the doors...just people outside getting drenched as they try one door...then the next....then they finally get in after the third try. I digress....so my order was not ready until 12:48. EFFING ridiculous. Granted it was 4 Italian hoagies, nothing special but there were people walking in the door, ordering then walking out with their food as I waited and watched. Don't PRIMO's build the orders as they come in? The "chef", "cook", or whoever the eff he was (a big f@t dude) whining like a little b!t(h about pick-up times...Meanwhile, it is 22 minutes passed my effing pick up time!!! Ya J.O.! PRIMO'S this is a failure to be prepared for a huge promotion YOUR company ran today. Love promos hoagies, even though they are a little pricey. That being said I was surprised that I could not use my 10.00 rewards coupon. Last time I went there was about 4 weeks ago at best, the store said it was in July, it was not. When she told me I reached enough to earn a coupon she would not let me use it that day, she said next time. Now its expired??? Manager said she couldn't take it off my bill, fine, whatever. Called to place order for pick up, said 20 mins. I left my house in 20 mins and I'm about 10-15 minutes away.
