I got a text message advertising their customer service special today ($6.99 per sandwich) so I ordered on line but didn't realize it went through Grub Hub. I picked up the three sandwiches and it came to $51!! I asked for the customer appreciation price as I am a frequent customer. I was told they could not do that. Recently ordered online for takeout of 8 sandwiches and was a given a pickup time for 1 hour later. We arrived promptly at the store at our given time. Our order was not even started upon our arrival. When we went to the counter, we were told by the two staff members that the order was not even started. Other patrons arrived after us, placed their orders and received them immediately. When we went to the counter for an update, we were met with annoyance by the staff, as if we were bothering them. In fact, they were down right rude. We overheard other patrons saying that if you don't tip them, your order is delayed. We were not aware that we needed to include a tip in order to receive our order on time. We waited over 40 minutes longer for our 8 sandwiches, which were average at best. Needless to say, we will no longer be patrons of ANY Primo Hoagie going forward. read more

The sharp Italian on the seeded roll is delicious. I ordered hot peppers on the side, but they were left out. Hot peppers would have really made it great. For almost $14, I'm left wanting a bit more. The flavor of the chicken diablo was also great, but the chicken itself was meh. The seeded rolls really elevate the flavor of the over all sandwich. Stopped for a BIG T Turkey and Ham hoagie for lunch today (Monday 8/1/22). When I got home I was very disappointed. The bun was almost half empty. It was mostly lettuce and two thin slices of tomato. Also, at the very bottom of the sandwich was a little bit of meat maybe 2-3 super thin slices. I felt like I was eating bread and lettuce. It is usually much better than this. Furthermore, I wasn't careful as I was in a hurry, so I was charged over $14.00 for a primo sized hoagie (that is the medium size usually $9.99)? Why so much? Plus, the bun didn't seem to be very fresh. I just moved to this area and ate here twice before and it was very good. Today was a complete waste of my money. I love primo hoagies, but this particular location was in disarray. They had two people working there, which clearly wasn't enough to handle the line of customers and the ringing phone. I think their two-star rating is well deserved. My husband and I ordered and picked up 8 hoagies and a two liter. All the hoagies easily fit into a small plastic bag. They were fine but nothing at all special. Certainly nothing worthy of the total price of almost $125. read more

I used to love Primo's...Today my sandwich had hardly any meat in it, just two very thin slices. I wanted to give them one more opportunity but I was disappointed again. For $13 it's just not worth it. I'm very willing to pay for a good sandwich, but it appears I need to look elsewhere. With the world being what it is now and trying to help businesses stay afloat we do all we can like ordering take out. I love Grubhub because they bring my orders right to my door. While Primo Hoagies offers that, what they don't offer is a cheese hoagie to be ordered from Grubhub. You can go to their web site and order it and pick it up but not through Grubhub. I'm extreme vegetarian and it would be nice if they offered that on the Grubhub menu. Till then I will start ordering my cheese hoagie elsewhere. read more

Can't believe how the prices are so variable by locations that are not that far apart!!! Two hoagies both $2 each more than another location we have used recently. You have officially lost our business. The owner complained about prices rising in ingredients. While we all hear you and get you, how do you explain the price differences at locations not far away (these too are in still expensive real estate) and not charging the same up charges? The amount of meat in both sandwiches was considerably less, still high quality, than in recent hoagies and the produce was not as fresh as it could be. read more

Moving up from Philly I had my choice of Primos hoagies, everyone was great. I love Primos, my only negative experience with this one over multiple visits is they freeze their rolls, it ruins the experience. So incredibly disappointed to see that this location has gone so far downhill. We ordered a primo-sized Italian a few weeks ago and the roll was so incredibly hard, almost to the point of not being able to eat the sandwich. Also, they have drastically reduced the amount of meat in their sandwiches over the years. So disappointed! We live about 20 minutes from this location (our closest PrimoHoagies in the area), so it wasn't convenient for us to return and complain in person. Primos has been pretty hyped up to me since moving to PA. When my new job was located in the same plaza as Primos, I knew a hoagie or many was in my near future. Called in prime lunch time and phone was answered by the kindest voice. Took my order politely and quickly. Ten minutes later when I arrived, order was waiting and ready for me. I decided that the famed Turkey Schwartzie (Swiss, cole slaw, Russian dressing). This sandwich was excellent. There was the right amount of each ingredient. The bread, damn their bread is fantastic. The perfect balance of a soft chewy inside, and a crunchy outer shell. No soggy Sammie's here. Also indulged in a side of Mac salad and it was that classic tangy creamy style of Mac salad that you crave along side your hoag. Service at this location was fantastic. Food was delicious. Excited to forget packing my lunch one day a week to treat myself to Primos. read more

Today was the first time I tried a hoagie from Primo's. They are two minutes from my house, and we took the hoagies out to have at home. We ordered three Pizza Hoagies. Firstly, the hoagies were cold and the cheese was coagulated. Secondly, the rolls were soggy. Thirdly, the meager tomato sauce and the steak badly needed seasoning; they were tasteless. i don't think I will be returning; they don't seem to have the "Right Sauce". read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Primo Hoagies (Harleysville) this evening. I ordered online through GrubHub. I was told that my order would be there within 50 minutes so I was really surprised when my order got there in 15 minutes. I was so excited that I wanted to make sure I went online and gave them a positive review for being so expedient. When I went to eat my order, I realized that there was a mistake in which the sandwich was made. I went back to review my Grubhub receipt and noticed that the error was not on Grub-hub's end, the error was on Primo's side. So I decided that it would be easier to call Primo to see if there was a way that we could rectify the issue. In speaking to the person who answered the phone, I explain the situation. At first he asked me to make sure that I was seeing clearly, because he was sure that he made the sandwich correctly. I explain to him that I did see it correctly, and that the error was on his end. He offered to make me a new sandwich, but said that I would have to drive there and pick it up. The store is 25 minutes away from my home, and drive out there by myself was not something I was comfortable doing. He then shared with me that he was only there to make the sandwiches, he could not help me with rectifying the issue. He responded to me that there was nothing that he could do. So, I asked what the next option was, because I found it troublesome that the error was on their end. At that point, he hung up on me. I called back three times, and no one picked up the phone. I then called from a separate number, and the same person picked up the phone. I asked for a manager, and was told the manager was no available. When I asked for the email address to speak to a manager, he told me that he wasn't going to give me that information. I then asked for the day and time that the manager would be there, and he shared that information. I wish that there would have been a option for a better solution rather than hanging up the phone on a customer. At no point did I raise my voice. At no point was I disrespectful. I was trying to find a happy medium since the error was on their end. ***Follow up- I sent an email with my frustration noted and asked for someone to call me back. Lon (manager) called me back within 15 minutes. I truly appreciated how quickly he called me back. I explained the situation and he apologized for how it was handled. He offered me another sandwich and said that if I were in the neighborhood, he would offer me a sandwich on the house. I felt that he heard my side, apologized for the poor behavior, and offered a solution. Thank you very much Lon! read more

Great old-fashioned sub sandwiches with good quality ingredients, large portions, and quality bread. This is the kind of sub sandwich I grew up on, and I didin't realize how much I missed them until I tried a Primo Hoagie last week. Fantastic! I knocked them a point for the center city location because of the girls behind the counter. Pure New Jersey Shore trash, who think every guy is there to hit on them. I am sure they are the bosses daughters, otherwise their rude and obnoxious behavior wouldn't be tolerated. Sad to say, they really aren't attractive enough to have such attitudes. I love a primo hoagie. The meat is always fresh sliced and it's yummy for sure. Unfortunately this location really sucks. They are obviously understaffed and the lady running the register is very rude. I called to place an order, she hung up on me. I decided to order online and that went smoothly. Online it said 30 minutes until my order was ready, no big. When I arrived 10 minutes after that time, the order still wasn't ready. We waited another 15 minutes. So it took over an hour for this location to make two hoagies. Order from this primo location at your own risk!!! read more

Sure, it's a tad expensive, but it's one of the best damn Italian sandwiches that you'll have in this area. Sure beats Subway (whose slogan should be "It's Not As Fresh As You Think"), even though it's a couple bucks more. Service is always superb around the lunch hour. There has been a noticeable decline in the amount of meat and cheese for the past years. My wife got a healthy ham an d swiss and there was maybe 2oz. Of ham on a primo sized hoagie. This franchise has really gone downhill. When you call in an order you are put on hold and either they never pick up the line again or you wait 20 minutes. They also underestimate the time to prepare the food so you are left with an excessive wait once you arrive at the shop. From now on, we're going to another Primo's franchise. read more

I use area Primos for client meeting lunches often. Outside of this particular location, I have never had a poor experience. In my past three visits to this locations, the sandwiches have been made incorrectly and do not look like the typical Primos experience in used to. I also stopped by recently with 25 minutes before closing, picked up my order. Forgetting chips and cookie for my wife, went back less than a minute later and the staff was there at the register, ignoring my knocks to the door as they closed as I left. It's too bad as it would be the closest to me now, but I will find a way to use the other locations. read more

I went there with my son a few weeks ago against his recommendation. He thought it wasIt was not my first time going to Primo but I remember it being better. The bread was hard. Seemed like it was old maybe. I understand crunchy outside but it was tough to chew. I ordered a regular Italian and thought it was small for the sandwich. After buying two sandwiches and drinks, the bill was almost $20. That's way too much for what we got. I won't go to any subway ever, not that there is anything specifically wrong with Harleysville's subway but in several other stores I have seen people handle money then food with the same gloves. Around 11 am this morning we had the owners of Primo Hoagie in Harleysville deliver our office a tray of sample hoagies. That was a great way to enter the neighborhood. We enjoyed the samples and I returned at lunch time to finish off my craving. They know how to make a hoagie! The roll is perfect with the right amount of ingredients to make a great hoagie. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that likes a real hoagie! read more

Pros: Excellent Italian hoagies. Cons: Crude staff primarily at register. Rushed. Register lady seems annoyed pretty much every time I go there. Uncomfortable restaurant area. In the winter they opened the front door while I was eating and left it open making it very uncomfortable. Nothing was burning so not sure why they did this. This is by far the best Primos store in the region. The owner is extremely nice and works hard to please the customers. They are not skimpy on the hoagies as some of the other locations I have tried. The ingredients are always fresh and the sandwiches are well prepared. I much prefer this location over some of the others that I've been to such as Doylestown and Chalfont. The store is clean and the service is good. I frequent this location at least once a month and I plan on continuing to do so in the future. I am originally from South Philadelphia so I feel that I know the difference between a good hoagie and a not so good hoagie. read more

While in Ocean City we got Primo hoagies one of the nights for dinner and it was so yummy, the roll was nice and soft with a decent amount of meat and just perfect. Today I was craving it again and decided to go to the one in Harleysville. Now I wish I just went to McDonald's for lunch. They were so rude there from the moment I called and the lady picked up, but I thought "maybe she's having a rough day" so I let it go. I pick up my food and they're really just not friendly in there at all, didn't even get a little smile or a welcoming feeling but oh well it's just Primo hoagies. I drive back all ready to eat this amazing hoagie that I've been craving and boy was I let down, the roll is as hard as a rock and it looked like a 5 year old put it together. I became the type of customer I hate, the one that complains about everything but I had to call and just let them know about how hard the rolls are so an old lady doesn't break a tooth . I didn't ask for a new one I just wanted them to be aware and maybe check it out and make new rolls. Again, they were super rude on the phone. Quality, at least at this location, has gone down hill. The sandwiches seem to be getting smaller for the price and they don't taste of quality anymore, that is if I even get what I ordered. I have called to place orders and I'm put on hold, the staff doesn't pick up again. Sometimes, according to my phone log, I wait on hold 5,10, and even 15 minutes once just to see if they would pick up. On one occasion when I called, and they actually answered, I was told 45mins because they were so busy. I got there in 10 minutes and the staff were playing on their phones. Another time I walked in to pick up an order and got an earful from a bitter employee complaining about management cutting back staff and setting restrictions. That's just poor work ethic. The seating area is not very clean either. Other locations tend to be better than this one so it's not a knock against Primo's, just this particular franchise location. I love Primos but this location is pretty bad. We happened to be at the Veterinarian in this area so we decided to stop by for dinner. We ordered a Primo Italian Diablo and a Turkey Diablo Wrap. This is the same order we get from a few different Primos near our house and place of work. Never had an issue. We knew something was wrong shortly after we placed our order. There were 2 older women and a young guy behind the counter, arguing about who should do what. One woman kept saying that she shouldn't have to make any sandwiches because she just sliced a bunch of meat. Another complained "I guess all this weeks customers decided to come in on Thursday." We waited about 35 minutes for our order to be ready, there were no larger orders in front of us. During the wait we watched several customers ahead of us receive the wrong orders. One got a small when they payed for a Primo, one family got 3 hoagies when they payed for 4. The guy who made our sandwiches seemed to know how to make the hoagie, but when it came to the wrap, he had no idea how to wrap it, and ended up only being able to fit a very small portion of ingredients inside it. The wrap was about 70% wrap and 30% ingredients. The kicker is, this cost us 50 cents more than the hoagie did, and was about half the food that the hoagie was. If you are smart enough to place your order 30 minutes ahead of time over the phone, and you prefer hoagies over wraps. This is your place. But all the other Primos locations in the area beat it hands down. I agree that for a while the Primos in lansdale had unfriendly employees, but at least I never felt scammed when I got home with my food. read more
