Philly Cheesesteak

This place is under new management. The owner, I believe her name is Lisa, just started on January 2025. She seems to really care and wants her customers happy. She does great at recommending things. The sandwiches are made fresh with fresh ingredients. The quality and quantity of the sandwiches are great. The flavor is great as well. The ambiance is very welcoming and inviting. Her staff when we were there seemed really nice as well. I recommend this place and would eat here again.

Had an amazing sandwich today at Primos!! Lisa and Jefferson were friendly and when I asked them what they recommend, I went with it and it tasted amazing. I dined in and while I was there , they came out twice to ask me if everything was good!! The place was very clean and the tables you can tell were washed off from the last person that was there. Great experience today , I will definitely be back!!! Highly recommend

Every Sunday we are in the area and try to go to different spots for lunch. We landed at PrimoHoagies. It is a small sandwich spot and has about 4 tables. You walk up to the counter and they take your order and will bring it out to your table. They also have a deli grab & go for items like pickles, potato salads, peppers & desserts. We grabbed a pickle slice container and we thought the pickles had great flavor. My daughter and I both had variations of the tuna. I had the Pescara - Italian style tuna (meaning no mayo), roasted red peppers and provolone. Honestly it was dry and a little difficult to enjoy. The bread was delicious and the roasted red peppers helped a little, but I definitely wouldn't get it again. My daughter felt the same about the tuna she had. My husband enjoyed his sandwich, Turkey Diablo. He really enjoyed the potato chips. They use Herr brand and we all enjoyed them. My experience was really a 3.5, but the space was so clean and the service was so friendly that I bumped it up to 4. We would definitely return and I will try one of the vegetable subs.

Finally, Primo Hoagies returned back to Fort Lauderdale. Absolutely the best hoagies and sandwiches in town. This is a Philly shop that has expanded into this market. The taste of Philly is here in Fort Lauderdale. I was sad to see the old location close a few years ago and really excited to see they made their way back to 17th street. I've had everything on this menu or close to it over the years. Place just opened last week and stopped in Saturday. I opted for the Italian Diablo, which is basically an Italian with hot cheese & spices. Get the Primo size, even if you can't eat it all. The seeded bread is excellent! Makes the sandwich. It's hard, the way a hoagie roll should be, especially when you put oil & vinegar on it. People sometimes complain and think it's stale. They've never been to Philly to order a hoagie. Soft & mushy rolls ruin a sandwich. My wife opted for the Old Italian. She loved it. Fresh, tasty and was really impressed. We got a side of macaroni & potato salad. Both are small but perfect for what we wanted. We sampled both, I've had before and it was the same quality of Primo's. Excellent and recommended. Lots of great sides there, try the pepper shooters and if you like hot stuff, the long hots! Finished with the Dirt Pudding. This dessert is heavenly!! MUST GET. It's a mash of Oreo and Cream. It's a Philly/Jersey thing, but will be your thing too if you try it. From prior visits to Primo's, get the Bada Bing or Boom if you like Chicken Cutlets and the Meatball is amazing too, if you want hot items. You can't go wrong here. Something for everyone on the menu. I feel like I'm doing PR for them! Hah just want the place to succeed as it's my super bowl that they finally reopened here and I don't have to drive up to Boca to V&S anymore to get a real northern hoagie (or sub for the locals)

Like "let's take pictures before we eat because this patio belongs in a lifestyle magazine" gorgeous. Las Olas energy at its finest. The outdoor seating is fantastic, the atmosphere feels upscale without being stuffy, and honestly, the food was outstanding. Which is why this hurts. We came for Mother's Day brunch and intentionally avoided rushing over for happy hour pricing because we wanted a relaxed meal. Adult decision. Responsible. Mature. Mistake number one apparently. Started with the charred corn and avocado dip and I need whoever created that dish to be recognized with some sort of civic award. Ridiculously good. One of those appetizers where you immediately start calculating whether licking the bowl in public is socially acceptable. Then came the steak and eggs discussion. My wife and I were both looking at the steak and eggs listed on the menu for $26.75. Our waiter explained that the standard steak was only four ounces and casually suggested upgrading to a six ounce or eight ounce cut instead. Now listen carefully because this is where the plot twists into a financial thriller. At no point during this conversation was pricing for the upgrade mentioned. And shame on me for not asking. That part is absolutely on me. But the suggestion was delivered with the same casual energy as "would you like fries with that?" So I upgraded to the eight ounce. My wife went with the six ounce. She also had a margarita she loved. We skipped dessert because we were stuffed and, as it turns out, accidentally entering a luxury cattle futures market. Then the handheld payment machine arrived. $175. I stared at that screen like it had just informed me my mortgage was due immediately. Turns out those extra six ounces of sirloin between the two plates carried an upcharge that could finance a small fishing boat. Roughly ten dollars an ounce for the upgrade. Somewhere, a Wagyu cow laughed at me from a distance. And look, before anybody jumps in, yes... I should have asked. Lesson learned. But restaurants also know exactly what they're doing when upgrade pricing gets floated around casually without numbers attached. There's a difference between upselling and a sneak attack. Which makes this review frustrating because I genuinely loved almost everything else. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was fantastic. Service was friendly. But nothing tanks the ending of a brunch quite like feeling blindsided by steak math. Pro tip for future diners: If they suggest the upgraded steak, ask the price immediately. Ask twice. Possibly get it notarized. Three stars because I really do want to come back someday. But right now I still feel like I got hit with a reverse happy hour.

For dinner, he got the honey chicken Sammy with sidewinder fries, and I went with the chimmichurri steak frites with curly fries... SO good. Everything came out piping hot, quickly, and you can tell the food and drinks are really thoughtfully crafted. What stood out most, though, was the customer service. The three main staff members Drew, Mel, and Darian (I think?) were incredible. Every single one of them went above and beyond for every guest the entire time. When we arrived, there were just a couple tables outside, but once it started raining, they seamlessly accommodated everyone inside without missing a beat. The vibe is such a cool mix, neighborhood spot meets speakeasy meets tiki with a slightly elevated feel, but still super comfortable. Everyone in the place seemed to know each other or quickly became friends. The music was great, and by 7:30 the live entertainment started, he was funny, engaging, and talented. We got there just in time to catch the tail end of happy hour for our first drink, and from there it just kept getting better. Drew, the bartender, even went out of his way to make me a specialty drink I had seen on Yelp that's no longer on the menu, such a thoughtful touch. By 7:30 on a Wednesday, the place was packed, which says everything. Exceptional service, amazing food, great drinks, and an all around fun, welcoming atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back.

The bar and restaurant itself has a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. I ordered the tuna appetizer, but unfortunately it just wasn't for me. To their credit, the staff handled it very professionally and took it back without any issue, which I appreciated. The rest of the table had a much better experience with their meals. The steak and salads especially got good reviews from everyone and looked very well prepared. Even though my dish missed the mark, the service and atmosphere were solid enough that I'd still consider giving eTwic another try in the future. Sometimes one item just doesn't hit, and there were definitely enough positives about the restaurant to make me curious to come back and try something different next time. I know that one friend at the table really enjoys this place so I must believe that she has good taste!

Quite a bargain for $12! It was a meal in itself. The vegetables and lettuce were fresh, nicely diced and pleasantly cold. A very tasty start. My linguine was a nice portion as well. The red sauce was average, but the meatball (pork & beef) was large and delicious. The sausage was a full link, also a lot to eat. It was tasty. At $15 this seemed like half price for large portions. No wonder the place is crowded. We passed on dessert and brought half of our entree home. It was delightful the next day! The food is good and the prices are GREAT! The Experience Our server, Logan, was exceptional. His recommendations were spot-on, and his attention to detail made us feel truly taken care of throughout the night. It is rare to find service that is this professional yet genuinely warm. The Food Everything we tasted was outstanding, cementing its place as one of the best steakhouses in Miami. We started with the sourdough bread and the tuna tartare which had a perfect spicy touch that woke up the palate. For the main event, the Tomahawk 23oz (perfect for a couple) was a revelation. It was cooked to perfection incredibly juicy with a smoky, slightly crispy exterior. The combination of the volcano salt and their signature tomato sauce on the side elevated the flavor to another level. The sides did not disappoint, either: Lobster Mac and Cheese: Hands down the best I've ever had. Baked Potato: Soft, cheesy, and the ultimate comfort food. Salad: Fresh and a nice accompaniment, though the steak and sides are the true stars. The Grand Finale We ended the night with the chocolate cake. It was rich, delicious, and so massive that we were able to enjoy it the next day (and honestly, the flavor was even better the morning after!). My husband and I enjoyed every single bite. It was one of the best I've ever had, with a perfect Pittsburgh char. The beef was from the DemKota supplier, which I had never heard of. But, a quick Google let me know it is one of the most exclusive and best of meat suppliers. Not many restaurants openly let you know where or from whom they purchase their meats. That is probably for good reasons as you may find out you are eating the same quality of meat from the same supplier to Pubiix, or worse. What I didn't like about Daniel's is that they don't respect reservations. We had reservations but got that old "why don't you have a seat at the bar" routine. So we sat, sat and sat at the bar for so long we finally gave up and ordered our meals at the bar. Also, the noise level. I was downright excruciating. We couldn't even have a conversation. We were coming from Hallandale, we had an 8pm reservation got seated around 815 which wasn't too bad. We were sat in a dimmer quieter section away which I really appreciate since our 1 year old was sleeping giving us the perfect date-night setting. Unfortunately the last time we been to Shooters was Valentine's Day 2025. We weren't aware that the menu had been changed since our last time dining which was rather unfortunate since the two entrees (seared brown butter scallops & shrimp and grilled soy-ginger glazed salmon) we came for were changed on the menu. We ended up getting the soy glazed salmon and scallops & prawns which unfortunately we did not enjoy at all. Even the sides were different previously you could just get a side of Mac now you can only get a side of truffle Mac? The grilled soy ginger salmon was on a bed of veggies (bok choy, Napa cabbage, onions, peppers) the one that's currently on the menu was basically on two inedible pieces of bok choy and a bed of rice I couldn't even break and chew the bok choy. Our server Ava was very attentive and sweet even gave a beautiful little treat for a birthday dessert ( not a chocolate fan but her energy made the dessert amazing ). After we paid our check we asked Ava for a manager and did specify that it was regarding the food more and not her service. I didn't catch the name of the manager we spoke to but her response to us simply questioning the menu change was she's not the culinary director or something along those lines but she would still hear our feedback. She just had such an I don't care attitude about it in my opinion and had I not had a few drinks in my system, trying to enjoy my time out with my family and birthday I would've let her know her attitude regarding it just was unnecessary. We unfortunately agreed to find a new go-to restaurant to celebrate our special occasions since so much has changed. Thank you so much to Ava for making our visit worth it! We opted to sit outside, since it is waterfront and even though it was a hot summer day, it was surprisingly manageable since our covered table made all the difference while we enjoyed the stunning waterfront views. Not only was it delicious and refreshing, but the presentation was absolutely stunning . a real rose embedded inside an ice cube. It was almost too beautiful to drink... almost. For appetizers, we went with the Tropical Ceviche and the Tuna Tacos, and both were incredible. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and I loved the mango touch that both dishes shared as it added the perfect tropical sweetness. Then came the entrees, we shared the Shoyu Glazed Sea Bass served with a rice pilaf, edamame purée, bok choy, and shiitake mushrooms, this fish was literally melt-in-your-mouth perfection. We also shared the Lobster Diavolo Pasta which was equally impressive and packed with generous chunks of lobster throughout the pasta, plus a whole small lobster to crack into. My wife ordered the fish and enjoyed it very much. Keep room for the ice cream rolls, an extra special treat to finish the dinner. Our server was friendly, attentive, and provided good service throughout the meal. If you choose to dine outside, the beach view is beautiful, but be prepared for some wind -- at one point it literally blew my lettuce leaves off the table.
