I ordered a small cheese calzone but received something filled with pepperoni, ham and other meat products. The calzone was cooked perfectly but I did not want any meat.

Great food, Excellent pizza, and they have a good lunch menu. Came here for a quick lunch, the food came out fairly quickly. I had the manacotti and an eggplant parmesan with a side of meatballs and garlic rolls. The Margherita pizza is also an excellent choice! Everything was savory, and flavorful. Reminds me of a typical NY pizzeria. You can't go wrong!

Ordered delivery. The dough was soggy, the sauce meh, and the toppings tasteless. There's not much to say except it was eatable but I'd prefer Digiorno over this.

The Best Real Chicken breast hand breaded on site, fresh garlic rolls & salad. Casual dining restaurant you order at the counter & they bring your food. Self serve soda fountain. Ambience is ok, but could use some back ground. Still the best casual Italian restaurant.

I just love this place. I went back and forth about whether this was a 4 or a 5, but overall, it's a 5. This is a no-frills Italian restaurant, meaning you order at the counter and they serve you at a table of your choice. Sometimes you get silverware, sometimes you get plasticware, and the drinks are in plastic disposable cups. All these things add up to a good quality restaurant that everyone can afford. In fact, one of the best aspects of this restaurant is that for about $18, you get a respectable portion, but for $22 you get double the amount! I have gotten four meals out of one of their large orders. Another reason we keep coming back is the folks are nice, especially the lady who's usually at the cash register. Very good pizza. I'm actually not a huge fan of their sauce, but this is such a reliable, consistent, restaurant that is such a good value that I recommend it to anyone without reservation. Doughboys, may your business thrive for many years to come!

Ordered well done pizza - yet it's floppy and lost half my slice.

Cold pasta, sauce with no flavor - "well done pie" yet it's floppy. Not worth the money

Let me start by saying that the staff here was amazing. They were very friendly and attentive. When we got our food, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the pizza slices. They were huge! With that being said, I wasn't a huge fan of the taste of the pizza. I was a little too bland for me, but my son enjoyed it. All in all this is a good pizza spot, it just wasn't to my liking.

The veggie traditional crust was really good. I had take out, as I was staying at the Embassy Suites across the road. There's a ton of toppings on the pizza, which made it a little hard to eat, but it was good nonetheless. The crust was very light and crunchy.

DoughBoys was one of the closest pizza spots to our hotel. My husband picked up dinner here one night. We got a large pepperoni pizza, spinach calzone, antipasto, and a small caesar salad. Food didn't take long. I was impressed by the generous portions. It was plenty of food for our family of four. My husband got the spinach calzone for me. He ordered a small or medium but it was huge. I barely made a dent. The dough was great, but the filling was missing something. It wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped. I enjoyed the caesar salad. The ingredients were fresh and the dressing had good flavor. I didn't try the pizza, but it looked very tasty. My family enjoyed it.

Yummy pizza. Always good. I like pizza that a little greasy and doughy. Hard crust pizza isn't pizza if you're from the Midwest.

After all the hype and difficulty getting in, I was very curious to see if it would actually live up to expectations--and honestly, it did. First, the cons. The restaurant is tiny. Like...teeny tiny. There's basically no standing room when waiting to be seated or picking up an order, so everyone kind of awkwardly crowds near the front door while servers and bartenders are constantly weaving around you looking mildly annoyed that you exist there. Eventually, people started gathering near the opposite end of the bar by the bathrooms because there was at least a little more breathing room. Once seated, the atmosphere is very lively, loud, and fast-paced. Not necessarily a bad thing, but definitely not the place for a quiet intimate dinner. Our server also may have been having an off night because there was a bit of attitude mixed in throughout the meal. That said... the FOOD. Unreal. Absolutely worth the wait and reservation struggle. Everything we ordered was exceptional. The sweet long pepper, Savage Garden salad, and Bolognese pasta were all incredible. Then came the pizzas--the fresh tomato pizza ("upside down pie") especially was ridiculously good. The squash blossom and cold pulled burrata pizza was also delicious. To finish--because we weren't stuffed enough--the strawberry olive oil cake. A literal perfect ending to the meal. Despite a rough start, the food completely stole the show. Easily an 11/10 meal. Now I just need to survive trying to get another reservation for round two.

Our waiter was awesome, great personality, and good recommendations on drink and food choices. We had the pinkity drinkity and Ginny 17 which were both on point, well-balanced drinks. I had to do the veal bolognese which was very comforting and filling while my husband had a hearty sausage and kale panini that I found to be a little too heavy for my taste. I would definitely like to try more from their menu as there were a lot of things that caught my eye but couldn't fit in for this visit. I would try to find a less popular time, if that's even possible.

Exactly what you want from a neighborhood pizza spot that clearly knows what it's doing. We started with the house salad and it absolutely delivered. Fresh romaine, chickpeas, cucumber, red onion, gorgonzola, peperoncini, olives, and egg, all tied together with a light Italian vinaigrette. Simple ingredients, done right. Next up was the Margherita Napoletana with a side of anchovies. I'd put it at a solid 8/10. Excellent flavor and that classic coal-fire char. I'm already planning a return trip to try the traditional New York-style pie, which feels like a necessary research project. Also worth noting: a surprisingly expansive list of Italian wines by the glass, and all fairly priced. Dangerous in the best possible way. Service was attentive and friendly, and the whole place had that great neighborhood vibe. Lots of regulars, families, and people who clearly know this is their go-to spot. Honestly, I can't believe it took me this long to check it out. Luigi's has officially entered the rotation.

The name says it all. DNY stands for Detroit and New York, and they serve both styles with equal mastery. They also offer gluten free options and, even better, a full lineup of house made vegan choices. What really sets DNY Pizza apart is the level of care that goes into their vegan menu. Their vegan cheese, vegan sausage, and vegan pepperoni are all made in house, and you can taste the difference. They even make vegan cookies, and while the vegan ice cream is not made in house, it is still excellent. We ordered a New York style pizza with vegan pepperoni and mushrooms and a Detroit style pizza with vegan sausage, peppers, and onions. Both were incredible. The crusts were perfect. New York is foldable and flavorful, Detroit is thick and crispy on the edges. Choosing a favorite really comes down to personal preference. I honestly could not pick one. The vegan sausage was especially impressive, full of flavor, and the pepperoni was cooked just right. Next time the only thing I would change is asking for extra cheese. It was so good that I just wanted more. The sauce is just as good as everything else, and I recommend asking for a side of it for dipping. I usually leave some crust behind, but not here. Both crusts were so well done that I did not leave a single bite. A heads up. Seating is limited, and because everything is made fresh to order, expect about a fifteen to twenty minute wait. If you are hungry, call ahead or order in advance. Overall, DNY Pizza is absolutely worth trying. There are not many places making their own vegan cheese, vegan sausage, vegan pepperoni, and even their own vegan cookies. Give them a shot and let me know what you think when you go. The small bites were delicious and a great way to sample a personal recipe from the owner. The dish was a pear & cheese fiocchi (learned from our guide that the proper way to pronounce 'ch' in Italian is with a hard 'k' sound). The walnuts and hot honey, along with the housemade fresh pasta, really made this dish (though I couldn't taste the pear...palate isn't subtle enough I guess). Our guide had learned that it is the owner's Nona's recipe (just like the aptly named Nona's meatballs, which I want to come back for, along with their pizza). There is a large speakeasy in the back, which is where our group of 11 sat. As one would expect, they had a large selection of alcoholic beverages as well, many inspired from the Prohibition era. The young owner made sure to greet our party and answered any questions that we have. It has been at this location for more than 10 years, and seems to be thriving.

Although this place looked great, but between crying kids, and a couple poorly done menu items, they lost a lot of points on execution... Our server Tomas was great! Best part of the whole experience. When we got to see him, which wasn't often, because they were short staffed or something as he was also tending bar (where he excelled), and running to take care of everyone, all while being berated loudly by an older gentleman we had to assume was the boss. The food was where they could have made up for that, but sadly, it was all over the place. - Calamari were crispy yet tender, and perfectly seasoned breading, but the accompanying sauce was too spicy for almost everyone in our party. - Meatballs were decent sized, and though they presented beautifully they were dry and overly dense, with their sauce on the opposite end of the spectrum with almost no flavor, and sadly that matched the flavorless meat as well. - Pizzas were the star, creative and delicious though, with just the right amount of toppings but just too much char on the crust. Tomas really shone as a bartender/ mixologist though, coming up with imaginative cocktails on the fly based on our favored liquors. The ambiance is cool, and there is a really decent speakeasy vibe going on with the decor but maybe try it at night to see if that vibe comes through under cover of darkness, cuz today wasn't it.
