Margherita Pizza-by-the-Slice

Delicious pizza!! We got a slice of the Caprese and the Margherita, both were amazing. It's so convenient that they sell pizzas by the slice. They also have plenty of seating inside the store as well as right outside. The place is clean, everyone is friendly, and I love the New York style decor for the New York style pizza!

Great spot for lunch. The service was quick but friendly, line was efficient, and food was absolutely delicious. The prices weren't bad, either. The bricks walls and outdoor seating are cute. All around great experience!

I work a block away from Las Olas Pizza and I pass by here daily on my walks. The food is excellent, especially the thin crust plain cheese, spinach & ricotta, and eggplant parm pizza slices. The business is family-owned and customer-oriented. Everyone is very friendly. The ambiance is that of a nice, clean pizza shop. Love this place!

The pizza was good and the place was nice. Highly recommended A review from a family from California

Very casual pizza spot downtown Ft. Lauderdale. The pizza was very good! Hot, thin sliced, melt in your mouth. And honestly better than expected! The sauce on the wings was delicious. But the wings themselves had a weird texture. Not sure if it was the batter used to fry them. Or if they were wing dings. But I wasn't a big fan of the wings. The staff was very nice though! They would be the perfect late night spot but they close pretty early. If I'm in the area I would try it again but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem just off the main Las Olas strip and couldn't be happier! We were looking for something quick and close (only about 5 min walk from the Hyatt), and this place delivered. Super friendly staff, great prices, and absolutely delicious pizza (and garlic knots). We'll definitely be back next time we're in FLL!

We ordered five slices, four different pizzas and a meat roll. All four variety's of pizza were great, loved the crust...light and crispy, but sturdy! It's magic! The sauce was used sparingly and was not over powering, just right in my humble opinion. The Margherita was my favorite and the buffalo chicken was a close second. The Meat Roll was my most favorite, what a great selection of deli meats! Also, the cheese was perfection. The staff was friendly and quick on their feet and the atmosphere was straight out of a New York pizzeria. On a side note...impeccably clean and tidy. We would definitely recommend that all pizza lovers stop in and I can say, undoubtedly, we will return.

First time trying this pizza place out. We ordered the spinach ricotta. Unfortunately, it didn't hold up to our expectations, but I love NY-style pizza so I definitely want to come back and try something new here! The margherita pizza looks really good, so I think that'll be the next thing to try. Their garlic knots were pretty good at least!

Great pizza to enjoy at the beach! We ordered through Uber Eats and were happy that the food arrived quickly and was hot and fresh. The gluten-free crust was good and overall very satisfying.

We stumbled on this place, one night we were at the Wharf. We decided to get a bite outside the establishment, after having had a few of their food truck offerings. The pizzas looked delicious and very fresh. We got a plain pizza as well as a pepperoni one. They were delicious....The crust was well done, not too crispy, not too soft. Just the right bite. The cheese tasted fresh and it was plentiful. The quality is definitely there. Check out this place when you are near the Riverwalk....A winner.

SO good! If you're hungry and need a quick bite, come here! I got the cheese slice and a garlic knot and it was 12/10.

I had been trying to get a reservation at Heritage for months, and somehow, by pure miracle, when a…read morecouple of girlfriends were visiting from out of town, we managed to snag a prime-time reservation on a Saturday night. After all the hype and difficulty getting in, I was very curious to see if it would actually live up to expectations--and honestly, it did. First, the cons. The restaurant is tiny. Like...teeny tiny. There's basically no standing room when waiting to be seated or picking up an order, so everyone kind of awkwardly crowds near the front door while servers and bartenders are constantly weaving around you looking mildly annoyed that you exist there. Eventually, people started gathering near the opposite end of the bar by the bathrooms because there was at least a little more breathing room. Once seated, the atmosphere is very lively, loud, and fast-paced. Not necessarily a bad thing, but definitely not the place for a quiet intimate dinner. Our server also may have been having an off night because there was a bit of attitude mixed in throughout the meal. That said... the FOOD. Unreal. Absolutely worth the wait and reservation struggle. Everything we ordered was exceptional. The sweet long pepper, Savage Garden salad, and Bolognese pasta were all incredible. Then came the pizzas--the fresh tomato pizza ("upside down pie") especially was ridiculously good. The squash blossom and cold pulled burrata pizza was also delicious. To finish--because we weren't stuffed enough--the strawberry olive oil cake. A literal perfect ending to the meal. Despite a rough start, the food completely stole the show. Easily an 11/10 meal. Now I just need to survive trying to get another reservation for round two.

Our waiter was awesome, great personality, and good recommendations on drink and food choices. We had the pinkity drinkity and Ginny 17 which were both on point, well-balanced drinks. I had to do the veal bolognese which was very comforting and filling while my husband had a hearty sausage and kale panini that I found to be a little too heavy for my taste. I would definitely like to try more from their menu as there were a lot of things that caught my eye but couldn't fit in for this visit. I would try to find a less popular time, if that's even possible.

Exactly what you want from a neighborhood pizza spot that clearly knows what it's doing. We started with the house salad and it absolutely delivered. Fresh romaine, chickpeas, cucumber, red onion, gorgonzola, peperoncini, olives, and egg, all tied together with a light Italian vinaigrette. Simple ingredients, done right. Next up was the Margherita Napoletana with a side of anchovies. I'd put it at a solid 8/10. Excellent flavor and that classic coal-fire char. I'm already planning a return trip to try the traditional New York-style pie, which feels like a necessary research project. Also worth noting: a surprisingly expansive list of Italian wines by the glass, and all fairly priced. Dangerous in the best possible way. Service was attentive and friendly, and the whole place had that great neighborhood vibe. Lots of regulars, families, and people who clearly know this is their go-to spot. Honestly, I can't believe it took me this long to check it out. Luigi's has officially entered the rotation.

The name says it all. DNY stands for Detroit and New York, and they serve both styles with equal mastery. They also offer gluten free options and, even better, a full lineup of house made vegan choices. What really sets DNY Pizza apart is the level of care that goes into their vegan menu. Their vegan cheese, vegan sausage, and vegan pepperoni are all made in house, and you can taste the difference. They even make vegan cookies, and while the vegan ice cream is not made in house, it is still excellent. We ordered a New York style pizza with vegan pepperoni and mushrooms and a Detroit style pizza with vegan sausage, peppers, and onions. Both were incredible. The crusts were perfect. New York is foldable and flavorful, Detroit is thick and crispy on the edges. Choosing a favorite really comes down to personal preference. I honestly could not pick one. The vegan sausage was especially impressive, full of flavor, and the pepperoni was cooked just right. Next time the only thing I would change is asking for extra cheese. It was so good that I just wanted more. The sauce is just as good as everything else, and I recommend asking for a side of it for dipping. I usually leave some crust behind, but not here. Both crusts were so well done that I did not leave a single bite. A heads up. Seating is limited, and because everything is made fresh to order, expect about a fifteen to twenty minute wait. If you are hungry, call ahead or order in advance. Overall, DNY Pizza is absolutely worth trying. There are not many places making their own vegan cheese, vegan sausage, vegan pepperoni, and even their own vegan cookies. Give them a shot and let me know what you think when you go. The small bites were delicious and a great way to sample a personal recipe from the owner. The dish was a pear & cheese fiocchi (learned from our guide that the proper way to pronounce 'ch' in Italian is with a hard 'k' sound). The walnuts and hot honey, along with the housemade fresh pasta, really made this dish (though I couldn't taste the pear...palate isn't subtle enough I guess). Our guide had learned that it is the owner's Nona's recipe (just like the aptly named Nona's meatballs, which I want to come back for, along with their pizza). There is a large speakeasy in the back, which is where our group of 11 sat. As one would expect, they had a large selection of alcoholic beverages as well, many inspired from the Prohibition era. The young owner made sure to greet our party and answered any questions that we have. It has been at this location for more than 10 years, and seems to be thriving.

Although this place looked great, but between crying kids, and a couple poorly done menu items, they lost a lot of points on execution... Our server Tomas was great! Best part of the whole experience. When we got to see him, which wasn't often, because they were short staffed or something as he was also tending bar (where he excelled), and running to take care of everyone, all while being berated loudly by an older gentleman we had to assume was the boss. The food was where they could have made up for that, but sadly, it was all over the place. - Calamari were crispy yet tender, and perfectly seasoned breading, but the accompanying sauce was too spicy for almost everyone in our party. - Meatballs were decent sized, and though they presented beautifully they were dry and overly dense, with their sauce on the opposite end of the spectrum with almost no flavor, and sadly that matched the flavorless meat as well. - Pizzas were the star, creative and delicious though, with just the right amount of toppings but just too much char on the crust. Tomas really shone as a bartender/ mixologist though, coming up with imaginative cocktails on the fly based on our favored liquors. The ambiance is cool, and there is a really decent speakeasy vibe going on with the decor but maybe try it at night to see if that vibe comes through under cover of darkness, cuz today wasn't it.
