We have recently lost two pizza places near us so we've been on the hunt for a place to call our go-to for pizza, which is why we decided to try Pie-Zans. We placed an order for pick up and were told it'd be ready by a certain time but when we arrived we had to wait an extra 15 minutes for our order. Also, there seemed to be some sort of argument between the workers since they were shouting at each other when we walked in. We got home (less than a 5 min drive away) and I normally like my pizza crust crispy but we ordered the House Special (pepperoni, Italian sausage, meatball, roasted peppers, onions, and black olives) and I'm guessing there must have been too many ingredients on top that the crust got a bit soggy by the time we went to eat it. Definitely not a fan of soggy pizza. Even putting it in the oven didn't help. Garlic knots were decent. Hot take: Based on other reviews maybe this style of pizza just isn't our thing.

On a recent trip to FLL I decided to try out some local pizza. I needed something that delivered late and wanted New York Style. After looking at Yelp I came across this restaurant and decided to place an order. I got the small cheese pizza with sweet sausage and a Caesar salad. My food arrived on time and the driver, thru grub hub, was nice. I don't think she ate any of my food as a recent news article states that many drivers taste the food they deliver. The pizza was very good, perfect temp, right amount of chew, crust was good thickness, and cheese was yummy. Now the salad.... Lor't someone must've been mad at it or not paying attention because they put entirely TOO much dressing on salad. I didn't get to enjoy this as much as pizza because it was drenched in dressing. Bummer because I love Caesar salad. I'd get food from here again but I'd specify dressing on the side for sure.

We ordered here on 12/22/18 after a 6 day cruise. We were tired and wanted to just order get it delivered eat and veg. The pizza guy came right on time and I still think he had the oven in his car. The pizza was cooked perfectly. We ate it all and loved every bite. I highly recommend this place. We asked to be called when the delivery guy was arriving and the guy called as we requested. Next time we are in town looking forward to a return visit.

Great pizza. The crust is not too think or to thin. The ingredients are fresh and the sauce has nice garlic note to it. I haven't tried anything but the pizza yet, but I will after this great first experience.

so its my 2nd time ordering from piezan's. i enjoy their NY style thin crust pizza and like that they have the cane sugar coke (thats the only way to drink it)! While the pizza is great, ill have to withhold that fifth star because I ordered 2 and before the order went out I received a call from Piezan's letting me know the order was about to go out but that they didnt have anymore cane sugar coke. I had initially asked for the 2 sodas to be taken off my bill and send a refund to my card of just the 2 items (I know its possible i work at a pizzeria myself). But it was not allowed for some reason and I was offered cane sugar sprite as a replacement. While they both are cane sugar Sprite is not the same as Coke. I dont even want it, but there was no other option given. ill update my review w/ photos and more info maybe once it arrives.

    2 slice special. $4.99 with a drink.

Decided to drop by here during lunch since I've had it on my list for a while now. Long story short, nothing special. Food: I ordered their $4.99 special of (2) cheese slices with a drink. In my opinion the best way to compare pizzerias is by their cheese pizza, no fancy toppings or gimmicks to hide behind. Their cheese pizza came out within 5 minutes as it was quickly reheated in the oven as most pizzerias do. The crust was neither thick nor thin and the flavor was unremarkable, think a step above Chuck e Cheese. Service: The service was the best part, as my order was processed nicely and quickly despite it being lunch time. Location: Their location is right off of Andrews and there a number of free parking spots on the perpendicular street. The inside of the restaurant has (1) table with (2) rows of bar seating making this a quick get in and get out lunch spot.

House Special... the picture doesn't do it justice... it's forking amazing

Maybe we were just hungry. Maybe COVID19 had us quarantined too long. Most likely, Pie-Zan's pizza is just awesome. We've been cooped up for two months or whatever and have given up on take-out from all of our favorite places because those places we normally go for sit-down meals (that are actually open) have let us down now that they've switched to pick up only. However, I simply didn't want to cook and kinda felt like pizza and this place is very close to home, so we gave it a shot ... HOT DAMN! I'm glad we did We ordered the House Special with extra cheese and cheesy bread. Holy PIZZA Batman! Soooo good. This pie was THE PERFECT thin, but not too thin, delicious crust-to-topping ratio... and the toppings were GOOD... really good. The crust is fantabulous, just the right amount of crispy at the edges but floppy. We also got cheesy bread and I could seriously make a meal of just that and a salad. Not a place I'd dine in, but now my go-to pizza joint when I want a pie and pajamas... or when I have guests and don't want to cook... What a gem!

I started with the grilled octopus and cannellini beans--always a risk if the kitchen doesn't know its way around a tentacle. Fortunately, LaFuga does. The octopus was tender, flavorful, and seasoned like it had just come back from a summer abroad. A great start. For entrées, I went with the shrimp over homemade pasta and the swordfish. Credit where it's due: the seafood is where LaFuga really shines. Both the shrimp and swordfish were cooked exactly right--moist, perfectly seasoned, and confidently plated. If the meal had ended there, this review might've turned into a standing ovation. But then... the pasta. And while the menu proudly labeled it "homemade," I'm not sure it was quite "ready to leave the house." It was noticeably hard--whether from undercooking or an identity crisis, who can say? Let's just say the texture was more "al dente... and then some." To be clear, nothing was bad--it just felt like two different kitchens made the dish, and only one of them had read the recipe. All in all, LaFuga is worth a visit for the seafood alone. If they can get the pasta to stop pretending it's auditioning for a role as a firm mattress, they'll really be onto something.

After all the hype and difficulty getting in, I was very curious to see if it would actually live up to expectations--and honestly, it did. First, the cons. The restaurant is tiny. Like...teeny tiny. There's basically no standing room when waiting to be seated or picking up an order, so everyone kind of awkwardly crowds near the front door while servers and bartenders are constantly weaving around you looking mildly annoyed that you exist there. Eventually, people started gathering near the opposite end of the bar by the bathrooms because there was at least a little more breathing room. Once seated, the atmosphere is very lively, loud, and fast-paced. Not necessarily a bad thing, but definitely not the place for a quiet intimate dinner. Our server also may have been having an off night because there was a bit of attitude mixed in throughout the meal. That said... the FOOD. Unreal. Absolutely worth the wait and reservation struggle. Everything we ordered was exceptional. The sweet long pepper, Savage Garden salad, and Bolognese pasta were all incredible. Then came the pizzas--the fresh tomato pizza ("upside down pie") especially was ridiculously good. The squash blossom and cold pulled burrata pizza was also delicious. To finish--because we weren't stuffed enough--the strawberry olive oil cake. A literal perfect ending to the meal. Despite a rough start, the food completely stole the show. Easily an 11/10 meal. Now I just need to survive trying to get another reservation for round two.

The dining room was full on the night we were there and the ambiance is simple and a little rustic with the brick walls and beige tables. We started with the grilled octopus and the Italian rice balls stuffed with meat. I think we confused them as the rice balls come 2 to an order and there were three of us so we asked if we could buy an extra one. The first order came up with only 2 but instead of just leaving them and bringing another- they took the 2 away and then just brought one with out the other two. Clearly we screwed them up with our request. Eventually we ended up eating three but not at the same time. The octopus was delicious! For our entrees, I had the spaghetti alla vongole which was delicious and packed with clams. One of my dining companions had the lobster ravioli done spicy and and LOVED it as it came with shrimp on top and small tomatoes. My other dining companion had a special of the day which was a pumpkin ravioli. I think something got lost in the description of that item as he was expecting more of a fall dish but it came with a red sauce on it which he said was an odd combo. For dessert, I was stuffed, but one of my dining companions got the tiramisu for dessert which he said was quite good. All in all- the food was quite good, the drinks were well poured and we had plenty of food to take home for another night. Nice to have this local place in our neighborhood!
