Dropped the wife off at a nearby business and entered the University Commons plaza to try At's A Pizza (love the name). They offered two slices of NY pizza with a soda special for only $7.50, but I only ordered one slice for $3.00 which was a great price. There were two pre-made slices sitting in the kitchen counter and the chef slid one in the stainless steel commercial oven for a few minutes. The oversized slice was welcoming but the weight was concerning. Sat outside at one of the two black metal tables to eat my snack. The cheese took up most of the pizza but the tangy sauce and the crispy cornicione made up for the cheesy mishap. It actually tasted good, but I prefer a lighter layer of cheese. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with dark brown wood floors and a modern sleek white wall mounted sink with brass turnstile faucets. Bad service the owner was very rude and had an attitude. Mozzarella sticks tasted burnt like it was coking in dirty oil. Asked for a slice of pepperoni pizza got cheese instead and when I came back he gave me the same slice of pizza but with undercooked pepperoni on it. The place was clean but empty. I have been stuck in the house with covid for 2 weeks now and finally getting an appetite back. I had a hankering for stuffed shells but needed delivery. We ordered from this restaurant...online order process was very easy, delivery came sooner than expected but the food was just eh. I got stuffed shells with extra cheese, the extra cheese was perfect but the sauce had little flavor and the ricotta in the shells was pretty runny. The garlic rolls were good and the portion is enough for another meal. I will add my own sauce and will enjoy it a bit more. I don't normally start off with a 5 star but when everything falls into perfect alignment, I have to start high! This shop was amazing from the beginning. First, just 10 minutes from the apartment. (Would have gone quicker if I did not get the red light and ultimately drive past them.) Very easy into the shopping center and plenty of parking. (That is not a good thing. All these lots should be PACKED but unfortunately these times dictate different.) We waked into this store and were immediately greeted and asked hw they could help us. (We could see that many people were coming in to pickup their food.) We were easy tonight, just a pizza with half mushroom and half meatball. We could wait inside, which was empty or sit outside. After looking around this delightful little shop we elected to sit outside. The store is very bright since the whole front is windows and there is plenty of table seating which for obvious reasons are not being used today. I had a nice conversation with the owner. I explained that I am from Long Island which is the land of two pizza places per block. She was from Brooklyn... Boom, she wins. After a short wait, she gave us our pizza with the necessary toppings in the box. The ride home was delightful. My wife and I kept saying how wonderful the pizza smells and could't wait to dig in. Let me cut to the chase. This pie was EXCELLENT-WONDERFUL. The dough was tasty and crisp, exactly how we like it. The sauce was rich and tasty, a very serious yum!!! There was plenty of toppings on the pie and the meatball and mushrooms were wonderful. It had the perfect amount of cheese on top. I overheard my mother-in-law say... "This is the best pie I ever had." Not bad for a girl from the Bronx and Long Island. All in all, everything was perfect. The only failure here was my inability to down a 4th slice... I've been ordering takeout here for years. The food is OK and probably better than many in Tamarac. However today we experienced the rudest person ever when my wife went to pick up our food. For some reason my credit card that I use for all my purchases for years did not go through on their machines. The front end girl went ghetto on my wife loudly saying that your card was declined for all to hear and my wife kindly asked her to run it again as the card never has had issues anywhere. She ran it and again loudly said declined. I called my bank and there was no issue with the card. This rude girl could have handled this issue with more tact but being rude and having an attitude got in the way and as a result this business lost me as a customer. Don't waste your time and money with this business and go elsewhere where they respect the customer and understand customer service. The food is not that good to have to tolerate being treated like scum when we've been good customers for years. read more

Excellent local pizza joint. We tried to order on Grubhub but we wanted the Siscillian and they charged extra for toppings, even though the menu says 5 toppings included. So I just called in. When I got there my pizza wasn't quite ready and told them about the mistake. They said they wouldn't have charged me for it, they would have called and to next time just put the toppings in the comments. I'm not exactly sure how their relationship with Grubhub works, but it seems like it would be an easy fix. Oh well. They were friendly and busy. Several people came in and got significant carryout orders. I just ordered the Sicillian with a side of 6 garlic knots. The garlic knots were good. Doused in butter and garlic, they were crunchy on the outside and soft, almost doughy on the inside. The pizza was huge and square. It was so big the box wouldn't close all the way. We ordered it with onions, green peppers, sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms. The onions were stringy on it, and the sausage was legit sausage, not some crumbled up sausage flavored meat. It had long strips of sausage on it. There was so much pizza we ate it that night, then again the next day, then froze half of it to enjoy it at a later time. Oh yeah, and we tried to order a caesar salad but they said the romaine recall took that salad out of commission. So we made our own salads at home. Overall, great service, great prices, huge pizza and garlic knots for $25. I love that I live so close to this place. read more

Decided to try them two days ago. Talk about dissatisfaction and disappointment. Pizza was slightly burnt and arrived cold. Breaded mushrooms arrived even colder. Usually anywhere I order these from, they arrive BURNING hot but this wasnt the case. Sadly and lastly. I order a shrimp parmigiana... I guess the "shrimp" came from a fucking frozen box because at first my boyfriend and I SWORE it was chicken. When I call about it they argued and swore it was butterfly shrimp. After examining it closely I realize it is "shrimp" sliced in half, not fresh, just frozen from a box. That's disgusting. How can you change 15 dollars for a dollar of pasta and a few FROZEN NOT FRESH shrimps. Never again. The attitude from the staff was the last straw. Told them to keep their remake. We have been ordering here for a few years now since moving to the area. We "thought" that we found a great local delivery place. They have messed up the orders on two occasions (and I get it, sometimes it happens). Tonight though just made me think. A turkey sub was ordered and a tuna sub is what was delivered. We called back and let them know that after taking a bite we noticed it was tuna and not turkey. She reviewed the order and confirmed that it should have been turkey. We were told then to give them back the tuna sub to the delivery driver when he brings the correct order. For someone who orders there consistently where they have me on file, this was not one of the best customer service responses. It just makes me think...what are they doing with the wrong order? I would not want my order brought somewhere else and then picked up and then delivered. What are you doing with a sub that someone took a bite out of?? Last night I ordered a pizza (for last night) and a family sized Calzone (for today) When we opened the Calzone for lunch, we discovered it was not a Calzone, but a Stromboli instead. I called to let them know, and was instantly treated like a criminal. I was told that since I didn't call same night (we hadn't opened it yet) there was nothing they could do. I asked them to please review that policy because of how long we've been customers, and the owner demanded we send photos and balked because a portion has been consumed... The first photo wasn't enough and he demanded more photos, different angles... and then told us someone was coming to pick up the uneaten portion. My husband said his Chicken Parm was pretty good, enough for one meal, but the salad was not exciting. It was lettuce, one tomato wedge and onions. He said the sauce needed more garlic. My spaghetti needed more meat in the meat sauce and the sauce itself wasn't very exciting. The rolls weren't really "garlic butter rolls", but rather dinner rolls. This was a first time for me for this restaurant. I called and ordered delivery. Ordered a large cheese pie & calamari. Well after waiting 1 hour and 5 mins, I called them back to find out what happened with my order. Wasn't sure if it normally took this long or what. I found out they canceled my order because apparently "A man called from my number and canceled the order because the card wasn't going to be present for the delivery" Obviously they got the calls and orders mixed up. So I had to replace the order and it was delivered like in maybe 20 minutes. So about the food, the calamari was garbage. The frozen type you could buy in a grocery frozen section. Pizza was good. NY style, not greasy, and I liked that the crust was crunchy. I will most likely order pizza again from them which is why they got 3 stars. Not sure what has happened to this restaurant, but it sucks now. After being a customer for over 10 years, tonight was the final straw. Yes, there were past times when the pizza arrived under cooked and barely warm, but I could pop it in the oven to remedy that. Yes, there were past times when the antipasto salad had lettuce that was pushing it's lifespan, but it was still edible. But tonight this business proved to be the worse. First, when I placed my order the employee was like "meh" from the emoji movie. No biggie, we all have off days. Then the delivery guy had no clue I paid by credit card and tried to get me to sign a blank receipt - with no dollar amount filled in. As he was trying to get me to sign away my agreement to pay an undisclosed amount, I checked out the pizza. Under cooked and barely warm. It was basically uncooked dough with sauce and cheese. He also blamed others that he didn't know I paid by credit card - and yet I provided them the necessary cc information to make the purchase when I ordered. I refused the pizza and called asking for management. Surprise - no manager on duty! Once I aired my grievance, there was no apology and no making it right. Also, the employee (not manager) said that the delivery guy was mistaken about my cc purchase and stated "he knew it was a cc order". Hmmmm...... So, was the delivery guy trying to get me to sign a blank - no dollar amount receipt, was he going to fill in whatever he wanted?? On the phone I asked to add a $5 tip on a $16 order. I ordered a salad, garlic rolls, a cappuccino, and shrimp scampi from here through Postmates. I also ordered more scampi sauce on the side because I know sauces have a tendency to thicken, dry up, spill, or evaporate by the time it's eaten. I did not know that the shrimp scampi came with a side salad and 6 rolls so I wound up with 12 rolls and two salads (one side and one large). The side salad was a sad mess of old lettuce, one tomato slice, and three slices of white onion. It was such a shame that I took a picture. The sauce was very thin and tastes like wine and lemon and crunchy stuff (which I imagine are diced garlic). The linguine was fine. The shrimp were mealy-maybe precooked and overcooked. The large salad is beautiful. Although I asked for the cappuccino to be made with sugar, it wasn't, but adding sugar made it tasty. An overall Meh situation. read more
