I really wanted to like the food at this place but there was quantity but not quality. The service was excellent. I called and ordered the lunch special which is extremely cheap. I got stuffed shells and it came with a salad and 2 garlic rolls. When I went to pick it up, the lady was welcoming and the dinning area was cozy and cleaned. I was already planning on bringing my elderly parents for dinner. This is the bummer. The portion was huge with bright red sauce and 3 stuff shells. The rolls were okay, not garlicky. I still haven't eaten the salad. The shells with the filling was delicious but the SAUCE..no It was sour and not well seasoned. The food was piping hot and it looked ok but oh how I wished the sauce was good. It sucks because I see this place and this was my first time trying them. Strong traditional Italian ambiance at every nook and cranny with multiple lined cans of Alta Cucina plum tomatoes showcasing the dining room adding a nice touch. They really took time emphasing the Italian decor to provide a warm inviting space. The server was a verbal phenom to say the least and made my short stay enjoyable. The oversized pizza slice was ordered med-well to provide the best chance of a crispy charred cornicione and thats exactly what I got. It was a beautiful cold day, so I sat at the only little table on the front porch. Noticed the glistening cheese layer was thick and lightly oiled, so let it sit for a few minutes to settle. Gripped the charred edge and the NY style flat undercarriage easily passed the Flop Test and stood straight at attention with a smile. At first and second bite the tangy sauce was still burning hot well insulated by the cheese. The third bite produced a far unexpected experience. The entire left side of the cheese began to slowly drop from the edge and finally onto my plate. After hundreds of pizza reviews, this issue has only happened a few times, specially if it was requested med-well done. Still devoured the rest of the slice and loved the crust. So not too sure what happened at Mannino's today but it left me scratching my head, was this just an off day? I dont get out this way too often, but my next travel to Tamarac I may give this place a second shot for redemption and to increase the star rating. I'm giving kudos to the cleanliness of the dining room and the gender assigned bathroom, which was recently mopped by the staff and boasted a beautiful white pedestal sink and red brick flooring. read more

Charming people. They want make me want to go back just to interact with them and that is not how I generally roll. However, I was distinctly less impressed with their pizza which was huge and way too doughy for my taste. I much prefer smaller thin crust pizza. That said I went there because good friends of mine who went there and ate the food there, not necessarily just the pizza, highly recommended it. Everyone has to judge for themselves. read more

Hi, my family and i just visited Mannino's for dinner. We started with soup, salad and giant garlic rolls dripping in a delicious garlic butter sauce. Our table had pizza, chicken parm, chicken Marcella, and linguine with clam sauce, everything was perfect. Huge portions, beautiful plating and tasted great! We rounded things out with cannoli (my favorite), Italian cheese cake and tiramisu. Shared around the table. Thanks to Vinnie and his amazing staff. This is truly a family owned business. The wait staff was visible and welcoming throughout our meal. The restaurant has a dining room with several large round tables and and then tables against the wall for 4 persons. They also do a large to go business. The chicken Marsala was a huge portion enough for 2 meals.the sauce was thin but flavorful and cooked for easy cutting. The pasta cooked perfectly. Im going to give this place a solid 3/3.5. After eating here 4 times in a 10 day span, I can say their food is a bit above average compared to what we have in the area. The issues I encountered were 1) A super unfriendly woman worked on one of the days. Her attitude towards myself and another customer was not good. 2) The chicken Parmesan is great, but the chicken is definitely store bought cutlet, and sadly it's obvious 3) If you leave the garlic bread out for a few hours, the room temperature roll will definitely give away the secret of the bread. After being in Tamrac for years, my wife and I finally tried Mannino's. I've read about it, passed it, parked in front of it, just never went inside. After having a Pizza and salad I realized what a big mistake I made not coming here sooner. This place is a gem! It's a very big shop with plenty of seating. There is also a smaller area with a TV. Perfect if your coming in for a slice or two. Conveniently located in a nice size shopping center so it's an easy in and out with plenty of parking. We sat down and our waitress came right over. Incredibly friendly and welcoming. She immediately made us feel like regulars here. I'm from Long Island, NY so I'm always looking for that perfect NY style pizza... they definitely came very close to my regular stop. The ambiance was quiet and relaxing. There were not a lot of people here and the tables are really spread out so you're not sitting on top of the next table. Service was fantastic. My wife had a small salad and I asked for the pizza cooked well. The salad was fresh-cool-and crispy, perfect. The pizza came out exactly as I asked. A little well done which gives the crust a nice crunch. Plenty of sausage and mushroom topping and the cheese and sauce were delicious. This was another perfect experience as a first timer. We were visiting my mother near by and decided to try Mannino's for lunch. The atmosphere is a bit dark but the restaurant is clean and we found the service to be very friendly. We started with fried calamari. It was tender and not overly breaded. The sauce was tasty. My daughter had an eggplant parmigiana sub and said it was very good. I had the 2 slice special and the pizza was very good. I enjoyed it. The slices were huge. My husband had a small Stromboli. It was huge and filled to the ends. He also enjoyed his food. There was a table of 5 that was driving the server a little nuts and she kept apologizing and thanking us for being patient. We didn't didn't feel that she wasn't taking care of us - we thought she was very friendly and we didn't find ourselves waiting for anything. They offer a lot of different specials and the prices are very reasonable. Service was friendly. Run Run Run. From an Italian. I ordered chicken parm. N asked for penne. It was Wednesday afternoon only two older women came in after me. I was served COLD spaghetti The waitress should have told me no penne. I told her I asked for penne. Sauce was terrible. I asked light on the sauce. But all it was was two chunks of tomato. Really a messed up plate. Like scraped off from the bottom of yesterday's pot. The chicken was like Denny's chicken parm. Horrible Leftover tomato n spaghetti. I'm Italian I know when it's old Horrible. I had a doc appointment close by n was very hungry I don't live near there. So I gobbled it up. Even the garlic rolls were terrible soaked in butter. Can't figure that out. They were old too I guess it's was covered up I should have went to the char hut right there or drive to Wendy's n got my chicken Asiago sandwich home style no fries. The place is dirty too. The cooks hide behind a wooden wall draped w flowers. The waitress never asked me how it was. N I had to ask the other waitress for a refill of ice tea. The food is basic Florida Italian, it's not very good but edible and the price is ok. The service on the other hand is freaking awful. We went in on a Friday night and had the rudest server ever. It was very slow especially considering it was a Friday and she still got flustered by our order and was extremely rude, didn't know what items they sold and got mad if you asked for anything to the point she was yelling about it to herself while typing the order in and slammed items down on the table. Mannino's should be everyone's go to for the best pizza! Im originally from New Jersey and to me being new to soflo this is the closest to pizza from home. Delicious big slices and really good pastas too! I really enjoy their wings which they drown in a really good sauce too. Their service whether you're dining in or taking out is impeccable. Beautiful Italian style decor, large interior with plenty of seating. Im so glad to have stumbled upon this pizzeria two years ago. I am delayed on writing my love for the pizza and staff here but it's better late than never. I highly recommend for all to really come out here no matter how far you live for fantastic bites. We decided to get the two slice and soda combo which was only 7.00. We also ordered mozzarella sticks which were ok. The plain slices were amazing, I'm from NY so I'm always on a hunt for some good pizza NY style and they def come very close to NY pizza. Ambiance was quiet and relaxing. Service was fantastic.. Amber was our server, she was super pleasant and constantly checked on us to make sure we were ok. My instructions were "well done" for the pizza slices, which upon opening the box the cheese was barely melted, and the slices cold.
