Stopped in for sushi, next door...they hadn't opened yet, so here I am. I would like to thank the previously mentioned sushi restaurant for being lazy and opening so late! Rustic, yet clean and inviting, little restaurant. Was greater and sat straight away. Had my drink within minutes. My serve went over the menu and gave recommendations, one of which I got. As a person who avoids carbs like I do my ex...I am glad I went traditional on the Chicken Francese, the pasta combined with the sauce and mushrooms was to die for. I constantly see this place every time I go nearby to get sushi. I came here and tried the pizza with my boyfriend. They had pizza by the slice that you can't beat with the price AND they were true NY pizza! This is a hidden gem that I'll definitely be coming to more often. 09/28/25 Sunday evening. I've been here a few times, but this visit was disappointing. Our server Fernando was nice, but we felt rushed. We ordered the cheese ravioli with vodka sauce, and it came out unusually fast. Unfortunately, the sauce tasted like it came from a bag instead of being fresh, and the flavor was underwhelming. Came in after a beach day, wanted pizza and this place was close to home and I've wanted to try it for a while. We were greeted immediately and seated by an older gentleman, he provided us with menus and gave us a recommendation on pasta. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza. My whole family loves Rotelli's! The Pizza is excellent and so is the food especially the Chicken Parm. m was a as wasade with Ricotta cheese. The restaurant is small and intimate but has a decent amount of seating. If you are handicapped and use a wheelchair or walker to get in it is pretty convenient.Also, the service is very fast and our family is well known in the restaurant and we know the servers who are all very friendly. I ordered by Uber eats PECAN ENCRUSTED CHICKEN SALAD which was very good, then SHRIMP SCAMPI which I never received scampi and not the pasta, but only 5 pieces of shrimp. This is a second time I ordered by uber eats and again missing some of my order. Any time I contacted the restaurant they told me not their responsibility after uber eats pick up. How? Basing this off of 2 visits. My parents just moved to the area and wanted to get some pizza. They said the pizza was really good and not greasy/oily. Went for dinner with my dad another night and the waiter greeted my father "welcome back". I thought that was very nice for the waiter to notice someone once. For me that sold my experience. I arrived at this Rotelli restaurant in Tamarac Florida at about 7:30 on a Wednesday night.  They close at 9 so I was pretty sure I had enough time to get a decent meal.  Upon entering it took a good 3 or 4 minutes to be acknowledged for seating. No problem there. Just a quick note for Yelpers. The lighting here is very low so if you are going to take pictures, use your flash. I learned the hard way, as you will be able to tell from the quality of my pictures. The great thing about the lighting is this would be the perfect place for an intimate and romantic night out with that special someone. Once seated our server was attentive... that would change over time. The service became progressively slower as the night lingered on. In our server's defense, Rotelli's has both inside and outside seating. On this night there were about four booths filled including my own and an outside table as well. Our server was servicing all 5 tables, plus helping with the takeout orders as well. The were a steady stream of takeout orders all the time I was there. Onto the food, which in my opinion was absolutely delicious. Delicious so much so that I came back about a week later and ordered takeout which was just as exceptional. On this night I ordered the Chicken Piccata and Linguine Carbonara. Both were OMG DELICIOUS!!! The food alone is worth the wait. Also ordered the house Cabernet which in my opinion was underwhelming. I order Cab occasionally and this just didn't meet my expectation. It tasted to me more like a $5 bottle of Shiraz which as funny as this sounds is one of my favorite. So maybe I'm not a wine guy. Still, I have had some great Cabs and this one didn't rank in the top 200. All in all my visit to Rotelli was a good experience. What they lacked in service, they made up for in great food. My first experience with this restaurant was having a small al fresco pizza delivered to me at work. That pizza was so freaking delicious at haunted me for a week! So I went back the following week at lunchtime without calling first (big mistake ) to get the same exact pizza. Do yourself and the business a favor and call before you go! Their food is absolutely unequivocally amazing. They're super busy when we walk in without calling we are in the way and it makes things a little hectic. and we end up having to wait a little bit. But it was well worth the wait, and I will be back again and again and again. My next visit there is to try the meatballs and the garlic rolls, I will be calling ahead this time you can bet that. Went for lunch special minutes after they opened. Ordered the special. When pizza came it was over cooked,crust tasted burnt and so burnt that it even tore when folded. Also mozzarella cheese was over cooked yet there were a couple of spots with obviously just added mozzarella cheese? What's up with that? Either they were filling in bubbles or they reheated pizza previously made . Which would be scary because,as mentioned, I was there minutes after they opened. I would hate to think this was left over from the night before. Will give them the benefit of the doubt. Waiter was nice but never once came to ask if I wanted a refill and the place was empty, maybe two other people in the entire place. We were doing furniture shopping near by, came here for a quick bite for lunch. It was lack of service from the moment we stepped in the restaurant. We asked if they have single slice pizza? The waiter simply just said yes without telling us what kind of stuffing they have or give us menu to look. We asked again, we can't hear the waiter clearly because of the mask thing. We asked him again, he turned to a lady and asked her to take over, then walked away. The lady was not friendly at all. She spoke fast and not loud enough. We had to ask again! Finally, understood what she said. They only have pepperoni or cheese to choose from for slices to go. We ordered 3 slices of pepperoni to go. The chief who was making the pizza was not nice either. I took the first bite, the pizza was so greasy! I have never had this greasy pizza before. After finishing the pizza, we went back to the furniture store to continue shopping. Been here many times, it's a great place to dine in or take out. It's a chain or franchise which I didn't know because the owners are there and treat you like family. Portions are good, pizza is amazing and the quality it great. Ambiance is nicer than a pizza place, nicer than a pizza/ Italian food combo but it's casual and if you dressed up you wouldn't feel awkward. I have been to Rotelli's multiple times. I stop by at least once a week to get my mother a slice of cheese pizza (she's in a nursing home near by). They are always friendly and the pizza is always good. I love the Greek salad in a pita. The pita is made in house and and when we have gotten it to go, it is always packed nicely so the pita doesn't get soggy. I have also ordered pizza with no cheese...delicious. My husband has had the chicken parm. It isn't the way you're used to, so if you don't like ricotta, ask for it with just mozzarella. My daughter tried the wings last time we were there and she loved them. They aren't great when it is super busy, but the food is always good. It been about ten years since we ate here. The place looks great and is well maintained. The menu has changed some and it seems to be for the better. We started with some garlic rolls and a Greek salad with the feta on the side and extra pepperocinis. I have to say it is served in a unique way. It is stuffed in a pita. The salad was so fresh and tasted great. The pita! WOW! It just blew the salad away. I'm guessing that it is made fresh in house using the pizza dough. To me this is a must try salad . Dinner, my wife got a vegetable pizza with no cheese, no onions and added artichoke. They were going to charge extra for the artichokes, when the manger came by and saw the pizza with no cheese, she asked us if we ordered it that way. When she saw we ordered it with no cheese, decided not to charge us extra for the artichokes. The pizza looked so good and my wife said it was great. Me. I was boring. I only had chicken parmesan dinner with whole wheat spaghetti and soup. The soup, Italian wedding, needed a little bit of help, salt. The spaghetti was cooked perfect and the sauce tasted very good. The chicken chicken was also very good. It was tasty and very tender. The only thing is I would have liked the cheese cooked a bit longer a browned some. The dish was overall very good. 10/21/21 Another visit to Rotelli and again the service has not improved. I've supported this business on several occasions and hopes things were improved. We we seated almost immediately walking through the door but the host didn't provide menus. The server arrived shortly thereafter and provided us our menus. She explained the lunch specials from their menu but was unsure if the pizza special could have toppings "plain only." - some special huh? My lunch partner ordered a salad and a slice special but there was an up charge on dressing? - no clue? Not sure where the breakdown is but I prefer not to come back. Three strikes and you're out! On a positive note, the establishment was clean, we were seated quickly and the party of 11 seated next to us were well taken care of.
