Me and my coworkers have gone here about a gazillion times in the past week. Really great spot for lunch. The sandwiches are fast; you only have to wait about ten minutes or so even during lunch rush hour. And did I mention cheap?! The small sandwich is only like $5 and change. I would highly recommend the small versus the primo size unless you plan to save half and eat it later. The primo is ginormous although on the sign its looks close to a 6 inch. Trickery I say! People must love coming to get a taste of Philly for $9 without having to drive as far. And they do serve delicious food! But during the lunch rush I heard the back of the house manager grumbling about these people driving him nuts. Not sure if that was the employees or the customers. Why they don't have prepaid orders like other locations, I want to understand. You wait to pay after you wait to be served. It supposedly expedites the kitchen but then they get overly inundated with orders. They screwed ours up by leaving the chicken off of a chicken sandwich for a made to go order! The manager offered no apologies for that, and acted as though it was an inconvenience to remake it correctly. Had they been interested in quality and not quantity, I am sure we would have a better experience. No acceptable courtesy water, you can either pay for a bottle or drink from a plastic cup in the bathroom fixture. I like Primo's brand, but this run in was an average experience at best. read more

Love Primo Hoagies! So glad they have this location. We come here once a week and get the 2 foot turkey diablo and it is amazing. We first got introduced to Primo Hoagies in Doylestown, PA in 2009. And when we found out they have a NJ location, especially a mercer county location in Ewing, we were happy to say the least. The turkey is always so good, the best way to describe it is as being velvety soft with just the right amount of flavor, softness and deliciousness! They are also no stingy with the turkey at all! Always packed!! The bread is amazing too. I think it is what really puts these hoagies together! The whole turkey diablo costs around $20 give $2-$3 extra for taxes I suppose. Very good price. Of course a bit more expensive than your deli places, but that is because Primo Hoagies has the best quality meat I've seen thus far. Worse case of customer service ever....charges,additional for lettuce tomatoes peppers if not on sandwich. Got the wrong sandwich called and left on hold for 15 minutes. Easily one of the better lunch places in the area. The sandwiches are great tasting. My company usually orders sandwiches from here whenever there is a conference or training sessions. I usually get lunch here on Sunday's. Today was the 2nd time I called at exactly 11:00 am to order my sandwich . This was the 2nd time the person told me over the phone that it would be 30 mins until my order was ready . 30 mins for a cold sandwhich? Sorry but that just ridiculous. I guarantee if the manager new his or her workers where telling people there is a half hour wait when the business just opened up, he or she would not be happy. The bread makes the hoagie & Primo's is superb. I usually get the roast beef, which comes with copious amounts of delicious meat*. Primo-sized sandwich = $9 and two delicious meals. Fast service, plenty of sides and desserts available. I could eat here daily.

Sharp Italian, mild sharp Italian, and meatball are all excellent. Great ratios of meat to bread to cheese to condiments, quality meat, fresh lettuce and tomato etc, excellent bread. Nice people and fast service too. read more

It's incredibly offensive this old bald gentleman that works at Primos felt it necessary stare awkwardly at me and my colleagues as we waited for our food...then implied to the cashier we didn't pay for our waters!!! Orders are incorrect. Something as simple as cutting a hoagie in half is over looked all the time. Ask for oil and vinegar and you get mayo. Incorrect cheese and so on. I wouldn't make this a big deal except it happens all the time. The hoagies are good if you can get them the way you want. I recommend finding another Primo and stay clear of the Ewing location. read more

I love primos hoagies, plus I stay right around from glenroc plaza, so I'm a daily customer. But the owner of this place attitude sucks major. He is very disrespectful. I came in with my son one night to order the usual primo Italian and small slim t. The owner a bald white dude standing in the back was smoking around the food, while it was being prepared. One of the employees told him to go to the back we have guest all I remember him saying is . ", this is my fucking store" then he put on gloves and started helping after putting the smoke down. seeing and hearing that I will never come back to ewing primos . The boss is very unsanitary. How do you smoke around food that's being made? This place def needs a inspection after seeing that. read more

Great for a quick bite to eat at lunch, and surprisingly can order a tray of hoagies for a lunch or dinner party. The hoagies are cut into 2-inch lengths and makes it super easy for guests to grab a variety of flavor options. The menu is very extensive and has all the traditional Philly hoagie options. My fav is old Italian. The restaurant is a large sandwich shop so don't expect French service, but the staff are very fun and bring a great energy to the shop. read more

We've been to this Primo's at least once a week for a long time. It is near my Husbands work so once a week we take a break and get a great hoagie ( much better than our local Primo's in Oxford Valley) This week it didn't happen. We got a roll stuffed with lettuce and tomato and hardly any lunch meat. It was just thrown together and shoved in a bag. I called to let them know I was not happy and that it was inconvenient to return the hoagie. The person who answered the phone had a bit of an attitude but did offer a free hoagie when we returned. I can't say I was the nicest person, but he went off from there saying I was critical of his work. No, I was critical of a product I paid for, twenty dollars for... a hoagie (old Italian) that is usually so worth it as I have always enjoyed them. I was critical of a service I paid for...I ended his abusive yelling by saying I would call the owner since I know him casually. My Husband said when he picked up the hoagie the staff was yelling and acting badly and he should have walked out then. Apparently they were having a bad day. I would appreciate the twenty dollars I spent being used for anger management and customer service training for the person who answered the phone. Needless to say, we won't be back. I consistently suggest that we use these folks for work functions and every time I get my way, people comment on how lovely the lunch was. Delivery is prompt and friendly, as are the folks who take the order when you call. Only thing missing is some sort of loyalty program like Slack's Hoagie Shack has. We love Primo! read more

I went there yesterday to get a sub. It was a normal sub look place. I placed an order for the original Italian. Most all places have that sub. I could see in the back as they were working. Nobody it required to were a hat or a hair net like you are supposed to in the food business. Buy what really got me and freaked me out was there was a woman with long hair who was making subs. She had her hair draped in front of her If she bent over the get something the hair could go right in the food. I. do not know how she was not getting her hair in the subs she was making. That was was sick and hard to watch. I know for a fact that would be a violation with the health department. And if its not it should be. As long as she's working there or has your hair still in her front and not tied up properly I will not come back to Primos. She made my sub. If I was not so hungry or tight on time I would have not eaten the sub. Something needs to change thank you. read more

The quality that was once there no longer exists. A good business in the beginning that has quickly gone down the tubes. Don't bother coming here. I have come here numerous times a week. My last experience was my last. Ordered four hoagies and there were two thin shavings of meat on the sandwiches. I have NEVER gotten sandwiches like that from there before ever! Frustrating to say the least. The manger there was very sassy, arrogant and had a comeback for everything I explained to him that was incorrect. I don't mind paying money for quality; however I have a problem paying 30.00 for 4 rolls, lettuce chopped snd two shaving of lunch meat. My tiny beagle eats more meat than what was served in these sandwiches. The thing that upsets me the most is the customer is always right. And this manger insisted I was wrong. No I don't believe he was sitting at MY kitchen table in my home. They need to fire that manger and get some consistency. Too late at this point. I love their sandwiches here and they are quite speedy in making them too. I usually have the noon lunch hour and I can order and get out of there in under 10 minutes. The meats are delicious and I must say the sandwiches are thick! The staff is friendly and courteous, one time they got the order wrong, I returned the order and they immediately apologized and had a new sandwich made with another apology offered. Mistakes happen, especially with the crowds that they serve (sometimes they are 3-5 people deep waiting to just order their food with 5-8 people waiting for their order and 10-20 people eating their orders at tables) They do a great job and are friendly while doing it! read more
