It's been 6-7 years since I've had Primo's, and now I remember why... Despite using Lisco's rolls, there's little enjoyable about their sandwiches. To wit...my friend ordered the Abruzzi, and all she could do was gasp for air and chug water, as without the broccoli raab, it was Saharan. No option to wet it like real Italian pork. My Supremo was hardly supremo with flavors competing but never melding. It's a shame because after all these years nothing has improved. Tired of getting screwed.. Paid extra for long hots. They put one small one on the whole hoagie. Ordered the bada boom, which is a cutlet that comes with Long hots. And they just skipped the long hots all together. read more

Ordered here a few times over the past couple of years. Generally these people are pretty polite and on point. I usually order online and the order is ready in the allotted time. The bread is always very fresh. Parking here is a challenge so be advised that competes with the restaurant next-door and the park. read more

Enjoy Primo product, but I'm done trying to order from here. This was my third and final time. Excited to watch the NCAA bball tourney with some tasty primo sandwiches and went to order same on the app at 11am for a 3pm pickup. Order was going well until time to pay. The third party app they use would not process my card information, so I called. The store told me that actually they had received the order for 5 sandwiches to be picked up at 3, all set. I confirmed with my phone number and they agreed. Problem is, when I got there at 3pm, there was no record of my order. Then who in the he77 did I talk with who confirmed the 5 sandwich order associated with my phone number?? Similar to the prior two problems I've had there, there will not be a fourth opportunity to let me down. First time ordering from this location and probs won't be back. Walked in to pickup online order and girl at counter wasn't welcoming at all. Two guys in back looked miserable just standing there. Basic sandwiches are OK, but do not bother to order extra anything, because you won't get it. I've ordered extra cheese in the past and not gotten it, in my opinion. Today I ordered x2 of cheese (paying an extra $2) in a bowl, and what I got was 4 slices of cheese. I am pretty sure, in my pre-gluten-free past 3 or 4 slices of cheese were standard. Was disappointed in my meal. I got the Tuna Diablo. My favorite choice from Primos and it tasted like tuna straight out of the can. I usually go to the Ardmore location, but wanted to give this one a try. The lettuce was wet and stringy, and the tomatoes looked old. Doubt I'll go back to this location. read more

We got a Buffalo chicken cheesesteak and the Soprano. Both were pretty good! The rolls were super fresh! Provolone cheese was delicious. Went in and ordered take out. Waited about 5-8 mins and we were on our way. I would for sure recommend! Thanks Primo's! read more

Been going to the primo franchise for years. Come up into town a few times a year. Ordered 2x old Italian Wholes to split. Either they forgot the oil and vinegar or they just didn't put enough on. Overall good but wish they got our order right or were more consistent. read more

For me it is the simple things in customer service that make or break an experience. Ordered 7 hoagies last night. They forgot one and were willing to fix the problem but had zero apologies for making me drive back. They made multiple Italian hoagies which had slight variations and failed to mark the differences on the wrapper. Stay away! Ordered and paid for a hot sandwich, waited 25 minutes and they a cold version of a hot sandwich. I handed it back and waited another 20 minutes for a hot sandwich not originally ordered. The receipt has a "feedback" contact...as a business owner I always see feedback as an aid to providing better services...I wrote feedback and the next day I got a response from a George Lombardo. He provided excuses and more excuses. I finally asked for a refund which he refused because I received a sandwich (albeit not the one I ordered). What happened to this place? I ordered a small old Italian with a long hot. I got small old Italian with meat, cheese and a long hot. Nothing else. I've never been to a hoagie shop where had to tell them to add lettuce, tomato and onion. I was staying in KOP so didn't return it. I occasionally purchase sandwiches from Primo. I like the their sandwiches. Problem is the service is poor. Today I stopped their and knew what I wanted. The person taking the order seemed totally out of it. I think I would had a more productive conversation with a Door Knob. I had to say what I wanted several times. I wanted swiss cheese on the sandwich and this person said they didn't carry swiss cheese. Looking up at the huge menu hanging above my head it listed several sandwiches with Swiss. The other person working their had to correct him. The sandwich took very long to make. The role was somewhat stale. I've had much better sandwiches there. On two other occasions I purchased a bag of chips and handed to the order taker. They never placed the chips in the bag, again this happened twice. I wish I can give a better revue, like I said the sandwiches are good, service not so good. read more

Hands down the WORST PrimoHoagies around, Downingtown, PA. Ordered 3 Hoagies (Big T Diablos) and got 3 (Big T Primos). None of the Hoagies had the correct toppings. Worst part was it was an in store order and they still couldn't get it right. I could maybe expect they get it wrong over the phone but would probably do that as well. All the other Primo Hoagie locations are by far way better. Hopefully its not the same franchise owner but just bad management and horrible training. read more

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! This is not your standard Primos franchise. Stay 100% AWAY! Called-in an order. Placed on HOLD 4 minutes. I call back, placed on HOLD 5 minutes; never picked up to take my order. I tried a third time. I explained the two previous attempts; no apologies & no explanations. I should have ended it there and went elsewhere. But, I was craving a PRIMO! Often, I stop by this location 15-20 before closing to find locked-down and closed early. A $60+ order for a family of five. Three of the hoagies were not what I ordered. We learned this after we drove home 5 miles and they closed. Your franchise is a bait and switch to the real PRIMO standard!! A very disappointing super bowl Sunday - and not just talking about the Eagles loss. We placed an order online 4 days prior for 2 regular sized hoagies. Pick up time for 4pm - they called and said running behind and it would be more like 4:30pm. I get there at 4:30 and continue to wait an additional hour until I couldn 't wait any longer and had to cancel. There were a ton of additional unhappy customers that also were waiting over an hour. I did find out from a few that they were told they were working on tray orders first - even people that placed same day orders were being put first which of course was insane for me who ordered 2 plain 'ol hoagies 4 days prior. We we offered a free cookie and the owner did come up and apologize but it was literally insane. We had 2 other pre-ordered food orders from other places that we picked up at the designated time with no problem- which I had to call around and beg other family members to get since I didn't know I would be waiting almost 2 hours for this order. A woman I made friends with while waiting also had 2 hoagies for a 4pm pick up and she got her order and I continued to wait over a half hour longer before having to cancel. Just constructive criticism - for such a large (known) event, have a cut off for orders! The employees kept saying they have been there since 7am but it didn't look it for how behind they were. I always give businesses a second chance but just the way the one guy talked to me (not the owner) just rubbed me the wrong way. This primo might be the worst sub shop not even of all the primo hoagies, like the worst sub shop in general. Save yourself the time, energy and money with this one and take the extra two miles to go to exton.
