The technician correctly reads the lights which tell him what to fix. Pulls out a screen in the water heater that wasn't easy to remove and cleans it to solve my issue. Since this is not the only toilet, removal/replace is not an emergency. Will do it on Monday. There was no additional charge for the return visit. There will be a charge to remove old/Replace which seems very fair to me. This business is now called NG Rooter and Plumbing. I had this company come to see why upstairs toilet was not flushing properly. The technician, Victor, put a hand snake into the toilet two times. Flushed and water went down, but slower than normal. I said I did not think the flush was powerful enough. Victor said, "It's old." So in less than 5 minutes, he was on his way. 5 flushes later, the toilet still has a blockage. Phone calls and text messages have been ignored. Still waiting. Victor pointed out the phone number on the invoice and said to call if I had any problems. Wonder how long it will take to get a response.

All of the plumbers we've worked with have been knowledgeable and great, and Regina who answers the phones always gets back to my quickly (noting they do not provide 24/7 emergency services - but that's clear on their website and they tell you upfront). They've descaled our tankless water heater, double checked how it was set up by the previous plumbing company, connected a tub overflow drain that was just draining into the space between floors and dripping down out of a heating vent to the first floor (aka it wasn't ever connected when the tub was installed before we were involved), and more. I also really appreciate how their staff is willing to take the time for me to watch them and learn - I knew nothing about plumbing and have learned so much. They also have taken ownership of some small mistakes - just stuff like once someone came out to I thought descale our tankless water heater but he thought he was just assessing it - and they didn't charge me for that visit and came back as soon as it fit into my schedule. Since things like that happen and everyone is doing their best, I really appreciate companies like Avalon that just say whoops sorry, let's see how we can fix this. They also all are totally willing to wear shoe covers and masks when inside our house, are tidy and communicative, and just generally nice people to be around - which we haven't found to be the case with all other companies in this field. I recently left a slightly panicked message overnight about a possible gas leak (not being sure who to call - turns out the gas company was actually who I should call and they responded quickly) and Regina called me back right as they opened the next day to check in even though my question was outside of Avalon's scope. Just fair warning . I needed the water turned off behind my…read morewashing machine as it was leaking from the front loading area. Two guys were sent out from MP and said they shut it off. Great. So the water home restoration company came and asked what happened. I opened the washer door (as the water was turned off right?) and found that the valves were not turned off after all. When I opened the washer to show what occurred Whoosh the water came out again full force. I called MP and they sent out a different guy who told me the valves were not turned off and that they were corroded. He showed me the valves. He replaced them and only then did the water get shut off. I wouldn't have known to look for that-- I had to trust that they knew what they were doing. The first 2 guys should have seen it and fixed it. So beware, some workers know what they are doing; and some are inept at MP. Spoke to owner Rene once he adjusted the bill somewhat. He called again wanting to talk but I'm done with this ; and esp with "Magnificent" plumbing.
