CLAY SHANKS LATER GATOR MOVING LLC…read more2711 SE 25 Ct., Ocala, FL 34471 Mr. Shanks,  I've been retained and asked by Mr. Rice and Mrs. Ferrer to contact you about the theft and damages your company caused to their refrigerator and boxes during their move on September 16, 2026 you handled.  Because I had an elderly mother who was frequently abused and mistreated by contractors, I advised them to file a Criminal Complaint against you with the Seniors vs. Crime Division of the State of Florida.  You may be aware that taking advantage of the elderly in Florida in an amount over $1,000 is a 3rd Degree FELONY.   Your refusal to give them your "insurance" information is abhorrent and proof of your shady and abusive practices towards these elderly customers. I write this email to demand immediate information regarding your insurance provider so they might make a claim on the damages you caused during the move.  I invite you to call me at the numbers below to discuss your failures.  Mr. Rice and Mrs. Ferrer have given you adequate time to resolve these damages to their satisfaction.  Please respect them during this time and take care of this disaster your horrible employees caused.

Dan and "Jan" love to shame, scold, and chastise their customers. Are you hoping to have a rotten…read moreday? I have the solution for you. Go visit the very odd and bizarre couple who own and operate Westside Postal Express. Dan is always constipated, and Janice (Don't ever call her "Jan" -- She'll scold you and tell you how her wicked step mother called her by that name), who is old enough to be her husband's mother, calls him "Pops." These two have issues, but I can't pinpoint exactly what creates their extreme hostility towards their customers. Even before you walk into the toxic atmosphere of their little dirty cluttered post office, you'll be greeted by some hostile sign on the front door. Step inside and you'll hear the sarcastic voice, [disguised as pleasantness], from Dan. If you ask a question, the answer you'll receive from "Jan" or Dan will let you know how stupid you are. A sense of dread pours over me when there is something I have to go put in the mail. Unfortunately, Dan and Jan's Westside Postal Express is within walking distance of my home, and my time is so limited. So, I dreadfully get into my car and head their way, knowing that some sarcastic, underhanded passive-aggressive snarky comment will be hurled at me, or someone else in the line. Having known them and interacted with them for several decades, all I can say is that these two need some serious therapy. They should be operating a fitness club, where clients are scolded in order to push to new limits. Unfortunately, Dan and Jan are grossly out of shape, so they probably wouldn't get very many clients (Just like their toxic, crappy little post office.)

Unfortunately, people working for moving companies can be very rude - not understanding enough of people's needs. These guys are good and affordable. They got referred by US relocation services. They are super careful wrapping your furniture so there is no damage along the way. Also, they carry everything for you if you happen to be on your own like myself. Go for it. Don't look any further. Trust me. It's a waste of time researching on the web elsewhere.

Normally this is something my wife and I would just handle, and maybe recruit some friends...but she was 8 month pregnant at the time and I wouldn't let her pick up anything heavy. So we turned to a moving company. After reading through review for several companies, and excluding ones that weren't available on the upcoming weekend we landed on Jaguar movers, and I'm super happy with our choice. The initial communication with them was very professionally, they gave us all the details we needed, and followed up with any questions we had. On the day of the move both Cory and Waymon showed up a few minutes early, did a walk through of the house, and then got right to work. My wife and I had packed up most of the stuff already but they wrapped up anything that might get damaged in any way. At the new house they were patient while we pointed out where everything went, and were super careful putting things down on the hardwood floors. To top the entire experience off; a very small support piece from an Ikea piece got misplaced in the move and none of use could find it. We looked through the truck and I really feel like Cory and Waymon did a great job looking for it. Even though we couldn't find it, it must have been in the truck somewhere because the next day they drove back to our new house to return it! Overall I was highly impressed with both Cory and Waymon, and Jaguar Movers as a whole, and would recommend them to anyone else looking to move.

I made my hopefully final move into a house and scheduled them for 9am. I called around 9:20 to find out where they were, no one had contacted me. Said there was a personal emergency and it would be 10:30. 11 rolls around, still nothing. I call again because they are not keeping me updated, they finally arrive around 11:30. It took over six and a half hours, constant complaints of how a third guy wasn't sent, they didn't wrap anything other than my tv, and actually broke off some of the brick on my steps at my new place for how rough they were being with my belongings. And after all that.... A 5% discount. Please do not use Jaguar moving. You and your furniture deserve much better.

I requested a quote on their website, and I received an estimate within a couple of hours. Everyone I talked to on the phone was extremely helpful and thoroughly answered all of my questions. The movers arrived right on time on the day of the move, and the cost actually ended up being significantly lower than the original quote. That said, their rates are very reasonable and totally worth every penny. Both of the movers were very polite, professional, and focused. I've lived in several other apartment complexes in Gainesville, but I'd always just moved all of my boxes either by myself or with a friend. These guys got the job done in a fraction of the time that it would have taken me on my own. Both my old apartment and my new apartment are on the 3rd floor, but that didn't seem to slow them down at all, even with the heat & humidity in the middle of July. I just watched in awe as they effortlessly lifted all of my heavy boxes, often two at a time, and only stopped for a couple of seconds at a time to catch their breath. Moving is pretty stressful, but they made the whole process exponentially easier for me. I will absolutely recommend Two Men and a Truck to anyone I know who's moving. I honestly can't say enough positive things about this company. :-)

A Poor Choice to trust with your move…read more Amplified failed in almost every measure on my move, From Estimating the size, to over promising and under delivering. This is a small company without deep pockets.  They present the illusion of being a bigger company with one brother Pat in Gainsville, FL and the other, "General Manager" Charles in New Jersey. Truth is they do not use their own equipment on long out of state moves, meaning if something goes wrong, you aren't getting any money back (they have to rent from a 3rd party) The most important piece of a move is closing on the real estate sale.  My sale was scheduled for a Friday (moved in the last week to Monday)) - Amplified arrived late on the Wednesday.  By 10:30am the Driver notified me that the truck was too small.  I immediately contacted Charles (who was servicing another customer in CT) - when did Charles get back to me?  - he never did.     I called Charles at 7PM (I had to drive to Florida to be there for the arrival of the truck)  Charles said" He knew this was a possibility we will go to plan B!"  Plan B was to move the remaining goods to storage and use a Common Carrier for the remainder (which means I get to pay an additional $4,000 over quoted price).  I called Patrick the following Morning - Patrick got back to me on Tuesday  6 days later-(He was partying in Vegas ) Charles had told me that if we get rid of a few items - we should be "ok" - So I paid amplified prior to my move date $1000 to move large items to friends/buyers - The Amplified truck broke down and was stuck in my driveway for 3 hours delaying each delivery -   on the final move the amplified truck door broke - so my goods were left unsecured. As for quality of service, the Amplified Movers destroyed an Antique Table loading into the truck from my driveway (they made it about 20 feet before breaking)- Amplified has made no effort to compensate me for the damage - Additional damage was caused by the tape that the movers used - destroying painted surfaces etc. Amplified had promised that (for a fee) they would box items and really provide a concierge service - After first underestimating the load size and being unavailable for the moving day.  Charles (or amplified staff) arrived on Friday to pick up remaining items BUT the didn't bring any moving supplies with them so they would have to return on Saturday -   I spoke with Charles Saturday Morning he said they would be there Saturday Afternoon.  By 1pm Saturday I spoke with my realtor, who had recommended Amplified, and it was clear Charles would not be coming until Sunday -  Charles waited until after 5pm Saturday to notify me (the paying Customer) that the would complete the move on Sunday   Charles cried "This is a One day Move that has now taken 3 days"  He did not catch the irony that it was HIS job to make sure the job was done properly and he failed miserably -   I did not deal with Charles after this - he had done enough damage, there is nothing in his background to suggest he is any type of expert in Moving or Storage. My closing was on Monday and during the final walkthrough on Sunday morning Amplified had still not completed emptying the garage Amplified eventually arranged for a Common Carrier to pick up the remainder of my property and I paid the fee (you really have no options) Naturally, Amplified did not load all of my items -(I noticed days after the Common Carrier had dumped everything into my Garage.) It took Amplified days to even return my email - and more days to confirm they had located my property, the good news "The wouldn't charge me"  gee thanks guys. True to form, Amplified never contacted me to let me know when the truck would be arriving, when Juan the driver arrived unannounced on a Sunday Morning he told me he asked for my number but the office would no/did not give him my number -  I was still missing items but Amplified managed to include someone other customers goods in the final move. Amplified did not care about me, they did not care about my closing date, their equipment broke down, they damaged my property and they took me for approximately $14,000 Do not make the same mistake - there are better options for long haul moves than this company
