First time, I hired them to do some reflashing along all sides of my Hoboken flat roof after I had some issues with leaking. Despite my roof already being under warranty from a previous owner through the original roofer, I had a hard time getting a hold of them and I didn't really trust them anyways. I'd rather pay someone to do the job right. Roof4Roof didn't come across as being super pushy and honestly suggested the work that needed to be done. Second time, I brought them out to replace some really old skylights that were super drafty and probably were going to start leaking any day. It's surprisingly hard to find roofers who want to replace skylights without doing a complete re-roof. I'm not really sure why. It shouldn't be impossible to just replace the skylight without impacting the integrity of the roof. Probably just a matter of other roofers just trying to get more money out of you. Roof4Roof made some good recommendations on what type of skylight to get -- again, not pushing the most expensive option but the one that made sense for my situation. Both times, I was happy with all of my interactions with Roof4Roof. I never had a problem reaching them either by phone or email when I needed to. That last part is key -- it's amazing how so many service providers only want to talk over the phone but I've done a lot of my business with Roof4Roof over email. Their prices may be a little higher than other roofers but you get what you pay for. Piece of mind and confidence in the people you work with is important to me. If there's any issues with the work that Roof4Roof did, I have confidence that I can call them and ask them to come out to resolve it. Since agreed to the terms of the contract, workers came in very fast. they ripped the old shingle also fast, but didn't put huge tarp to handle the debris: they had small parts of tarps laying on the ground and throwing old shingles on them, I would say 80% hit the target. Of course bad wood was found, and a new charge came with it. Sales person was playing the game of forgetting what his manager just told him to charge, and that's the way I've got a huu-u-uge discount of $200 off the additional charge. During the replacement workers damaged the plants around the house,even though were SPECIFICALLY asked not to,siding and gutters that they were STEPPING on!!!!!!. After they left,the sales person was invited to see the"battle field": all grass and bushes around the house were full of sharp wooden chips,huge amounts of the old and new nails. Some of the shingles were nailed to the roof and not sealed. The junk from the driveway was removed by.... leafblowers. I get an estimate over the phone and we schedule a time for them to scope things out, with it explicitly stated that they would start repairs that day (as long as there wasn't any work that needed additional materials). A man comes...and doesn't have any of the necessary materials. I'm a bit annoyed and then the man says he actually can't do the inspection at that time and we have to reschedule. Apparently, he got lost on his way over and he is very packed that day so he can't even start the inspection, let alone the repairs we discussed. When the man drove into our driveway, he almost hit the bushes so I asked him to be more careful when backing out. He told me to 'relax' and then proceeded to almost hit the bushes AGAIN and we had to guide him out. It's a wide, 2-car driveway so not sure why he had this issue. I called the office and the staff was very apologetic. I appreciate that they were trying to get a higher-up who could offer a discount, but based on this experience, I decided to go elsewhere for service. The price was fair and the staff was friendly so I'm disappointed it went this way.

The job was projected to take 2 days, but they finished in 1, promptly starting at 7:30 am and not leaving until 7 that night. Crews kept moving in and out all day to do different parts of the job. On the day of the inspection was when things went downhill. The impression I ended up getting is that they are trying to fool people with their clean cut sales team. I can see why many people would fall for that, instead of doing their due diligence as homeowners. The sales person, aka, inspector, from the beginning started saying things that didn't make much sense from the few things I know of roofing and was pushy in a polite way. I decided to just go with it and hoped he would be done soon with the sales pitch and would go straight into matter. But things just kept getting more frustrating. It reached the boiling point when he said I needed to change my roof in the next year because there was mold on it (a shingle or two have a bit on them on a shady side of the house) and became aggressively pushy about that. Are they taking customers for stupid that don't even know how to do a search on Google or YouTube to validate their word? I had seen that mold before, and no, there is no need to change a roof just because of mold on it. That is completely normal on asphalt roof that is not new on a shady side. It should be kept clean but alone is not a reason for a roof replacement like he was insisting. I know you are trying to make a sale but that is just straight up dishonest. And after more than an hour listening to so much and innumerable eye rolls from my side, their sales person is incapable of providing an estimate range based on their other works for similar sized homes, he basically gave me a few websites links that provides estimates (customer-centric and transparency anyone?!
