Great place to go before or after Fever Game! Caitlin Clack cookies did not disappoint! The Crab Cakes appetizer was amazing! Great friendly vibe. The GM Un Sun was so welcoming and attentive! We will return next time we go to Indiana.

Prime 47 is a very solid steakhouse right in the heart of downtown Indy. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was fantastic--super knowledgeable about the menu. Based on her recommendation, I went with the Delmonico steak, and it did not disappoint. I also ordered a not-so-small side of loaded mashed potatoes, which were the perfect complement. With so many steakhouse options in downtown Indy, Prime 47 is definitely a great choice to add to the mix. Highly recommend!

Wagyu World Tour, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and filet

Simply put, this is one of the best steakhouse experiences we've ever had. The food was excellent, as was the service. My wife got the World Tour (a Wagyu flight) and I got a filet. The wagyu, while expensive, was melt-in-your-mouth tender and had excellent flavor across the board. Of the three variations it came with, our personal favorite was the Australian. That seemed to have the best texture, in our opinion. Of their shareable sides, we got their mashed potatoes and mac n cheese, both of which were excellent (though we could've gone without the jowl bacon in the mac). The staff was terrific, and really went the extra mile to make it a special evening for us. With it being a special occasion, they brought us a cookie and ice cream, which was a perfect ending to the meal. All in all, this is probably our favorite steakhouse in the city, which is saying something, given all of the excellent choices around.

It was an awkward experience with an amazing steak. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and were placed on a high top next to a pole near the entrance. From this viewpoint we could tell there was not a dress code as people with T-shirts and jeans were entering without issue. For the price point, we expected some level of decorum The manager walked by several times without asking how we were. The restaurant was half full. The appetizer bread came out hard, was not free and without plates. No issues with service or the food thereafter. The 16oz Strip with perfect and the birthday cookie was a nice touch.

We made reservations at Prime 47 for my birthday celebration, and took advantage of their valet parking. The attendants were very professional and speedy. We were very pleased with that. Once inside I took a quick double take to make sure we were going in the correct door, and we were. It's to the right. The hostess was smiling and pleasant, and the initial feel was that this place was very nice. Being taken to our table I was a little taken back by the three guys in their early twenties walking by in their hooded sweatshirts and jeans, but I chuckled and moved on. Armando, our waiter was so so so wonderful. Knowledgeable. Professional. Humorous. Just the perfect package in a wait staff. I miss the days when people took pride in this job, and his shows. His team member (Jordan...I think. Sorry if that's wrong) was spectacular as well. Hubs went with the world tour wagyu, with a salad, and I had lamb lollipops, and the lobster bisque to start. Saying the food was fabulous doesn't do it justice. This is the kind of place you go for an experience. The place a couple or small group go to enjoy their time with others, share a bottle of delicious wine, laugh and relax without feeling like you need to shovel your salad down so your main entree doesn't come before you're finished. The large photos on the wall of what this space looked like many years ago was just amazing, and a perfect topic of discussion. As it was my birthday I was presented with the cookie with ice cream, and whoa mama it was sweet!! My few bites I allowed myself were heaven! Hubs gladly ate the rest lol. Before I finish I want to address the bread. It's wonderful. The two options of butter is a nice touch. I read another review saying "they are as good as O'Charlies" and I choked on my spit. They are superb however to compare anything in this restaurant to something from O'Charlies is an atrocity. We hope to see you soon Armando!!!

Celebrated our one year anniversary here last night. I had high hopes, dressed up so cute, and was so excited! Service for this type of restaurant was way below expectations. I saw other tables getting catered to, shown all the meats in a little presentation, explained things, suggested items by the staff. None of that happened with our server. I can't remember her name, but Sierra was working with her. Sierra took better care of us than the main chic. Our main server was aloof the whole night. Didn't suggest anything or go over anything, even though she knew we had never been there before. We ordered bread and it came out with our meal instead of before hand. She hardly checked on us. When we didn't order any alcohol it's as if we were then put on the back burner. Such a disappointment. On to the food. Meatballs we're amazing! I loved the world tour, honestly couldn't tell it was Waygu though. But it was tender and delish. Green beans were under seasoned and lukewarm. The au gratin potatoes were fabulous!! Hubby really liked the cream corn. They gave us a cookie on the house or celebrating. And they even did a special request on the menu too. I thought it was very sweet and fun. The cookie dessert we didn't care for. Honestly tasted bland. The atmosphere was weird. People wearing T-shirt's and jeans, people bringing their infant children. Just not what I expected of what I thought was a high end establishment.

Our bachelor party with Chris (server) and Eunsun (GM)

I don't rate a lot of things as 5 stars but this place deserved it. From start to finish, it was perfect. We were greeted by the manager as soon as we walked in and was super polite and welcoming. The restaurant is actually an old bank with the vault now being a wine cellar. Our server Chris was awesome! Very nice, knowledgeable and had some stellar jokes. Yes the prices can be high but the portion sizes make up for it. I know they get a lot of celebrities in there but we never expected to be treated like it. Since we were part of a bachelor party the manager overheard us talking about wanting to go to a cigar bar afterwards and she came up and said "hey guys I already called the next stop and told them to save you a VIP area". Everything was delicious, from the steak, to the lobster mac! You need to check this place out. You will not be disappointed!

The lamb lollipops are so dreamy. We started off with the shrimp cocktail and a house salad. Then for main we tried the lamb lollipops and the Delmonico Ribeye. Food came out very quickly. Our waiter was great and professional. However, usually they will tailor the experience to the occasion but they did not do anything special for the birthday we were celebrating. We made reservations through open table in advance.

Late night meal after a Pacers win! We sat in the bar(high top). It's always crowded and people are pumped from the game. I had my normal lemon drop martini and Chris N. makes an amazing one. I swear you could drink ten of them and never know you are even drinking alcohol. They are just that good! He also knows his bourbon. We started the meal with Fritto Miso(calamari, shrimp, and peppers) and a Caesar salad. Salad has white anchovies and is quite a large portion. I chose the pan seared salmon tonight with the dill sauce and fried capers. I also had it topped with cippolini onions. They are so flavorful. Great on a steak as well. My date ordered the lobster Mac and cheese for his meal(it's a side but definitely enough to make a meal). Staff is always friendly and takes great care of us. I love to eat here for date night and definitely after a game. Steaks are excellent and finished with tallow. If they have scallops on the menu you can't go wrong.

Birthday dinner success! Prime 47 Indy is exactly what you imagine when thinking of an upscale experience. The environment is formal, classy and attentive. The staff clearly works hard and are informed on the menu. Our waters were never under half full the whole time. Our servers Shelby and (Audrey?? Im so sorry for forgetting) were wonderfully prepared and friendly. The meats are brought out for explanation and visuals before you order. Good luck trying to decide between your appetizers and sides. I recommend coming hungry because you will need the room!

We had a workplace holiday dinner here at Prime 47. They are located in downtown Indianapolis and there are multiple parking garages available for pay. You can also park on the streets if you have any space available which most of the time you don't find any. The service was wonderful here and the ambience was business casual. This place is family friendly and business casual. They have great steak options but less to no vegetables or vegetarian options available. The dessert options are great. This is a good place for business meetings.

    Old fashioned
    Crissy L.

It's fine. My old fashioned was comparable to one from a major chain restaurant with a large orange slice and crushed ice. Sides and my crab cake were alright. Good, just didn't knock my socks off. 3 stars because it was so pricey.

The lobster roll was soggy and honestly? Too much. I prefer a classic lobster roll - warm, lobster, bread that still has a little crunch to it (just the tiniest bit), butter - but not too much. This was soggy and the celery situation took away from the essence of a lobster roll for me. I've never liked the lobster salad rolls, and I did make sure there would be no mayo - but I think this was a bit much. Too much butter. Too many toppings. The flavor wasn't amazing. My dad really liked the perch. So much that he didn't let me try it. Lol but it looked good! The fried okra was solid. Kinda hard to mess that up, so no complaints there. Same thing with the fish tacos as the lobster roll. They're very busy. I like tasting my food - not piling the toppings on so things get lost. So, I scraped pretty much everything off. The fish was good! I got my mom the fried oysters. No complaints. Her meal came with two sides, so I got greens and Mac and cheese. I didnt try the Mac, but they said the greens were top tier. They had a nice flavor, but they're spicy - so avoid them if you can't deal with a lot of spice - probably red pepper. They threw in a crab cake for free and I thought that was really sweet of them. I didn't like the way it looked on the inside, so I only nibbled at it. Definitely not what this Maryland girl is used to... the winner is still Commisson Row on crab cakes in Indy so far. Anyway! Cute little tucked away spot, small parking lot, but spacious inside. Quite a few tables and chairs and fresh seafood in the cases. I'd go again and try some different things based on other reviews.

Now, to be entirely candid, the building itself looks a touch weathered at first glance but once you step inside, the décor is absolutely flawless. Being from Orange County, I have been on an absolute crusade to find genuinely authentic, coastal-caliber seafood since arriving here, and let me tell you, the search is officially over! The arrival was completely seamless, thanks to a sweet little dedicated parking lot, and the exterior of the venue is just as cute as a button. The moment I crossed the threshold, the lovely cashier greeted me with the warmest energy and elegantly walked me through the day's catch. What truly blew me away and frankly, brought a little tear to my eye was the sheer depth of knowledge and passion they share about their sourcing. They explained exactly where the fish came from and how it was caught with such beautiful, undivided commitment. That level of bespoke service is precisely what turns a first-time guest into a lifelong devotee. I opted for a Fish Taco prepared with a brilliantly unsalted catch, and it was an absolute revelation. The fish was incredibly soft, delicate, and practically melted in my mouthnot a hint of chewiness in sight. It was simply bursting with that clean, ocean-fresh flavor. A flawless, five-star experience across the board for the taste, the charm, and the beautiful soul of this place. I shall most certainly be making this a regular stop on my lunch rounds!

We ordered the lobster hoagie and hush puppies. Both were... fine. Not bad, but nothing that wowed us or justified the anticipation. The flavors were there in a basic sense, but it all felt a little underwhelming for a spot that's billing itself as a seafood destination. What really got me was the market side of things. The seafood on display just looked sad not fresh, not vibrant, not the kind of stuff that makes you want to throw something in a bag and take it home to cook. I fully understand we're landlocked in Indiana and truly fresh seafood is a challenge, but if that's your entire concept, the product has to be able to hold its own. Left feeling more disappointed than anything. I so wanted to love this place and will be rooting for them to level up but for now, this Florida girl will keep searching.

The lobster deviled eggs were super unique and honestly one of my favorite bites. Creamy, slightly tangy, and topped with lobster--it's not something you see everywhere, and they executed it really well. My husband tried the shrimp burrito, which was great for a seafood spot. I feel like most seafood places will have vegetarian options by way of removing the fish from pasta dishes or salad, but it's also nice to know that you can get chicken as a substitute on most of these kinds of dishes, too. Granted, it's just like chicken tenders, but still good nonetheless. I really like their firecracker pasta, which is moderately spicy in my opinion. There's no particular fishy smell here, which is always a good sign that the seafood they serve here is freshly prepared. Our food always comes out quickly for lunch and we've been a group as large as 8 or 9. I do believe that ordering is mostly done online in their mass Ave location, though. I don't really seek out a place like Slapfish on my own (no offense at all, just not a seafood girlie!!), but I would assume that it's a rather popular establishment as they recently opened a fifth location in the greater Indy area. If I did like fish and such more, I'd probably be here on a more regular rotation.

Gone are the days of going to a higher end restaurant and expecting a low noise level, grown ups enjoying a beautiful meal. There were two tables with children that weren't well behaved and had no business in a restaurant of that caliber. The families were drinking and completely thought they were at an Applebees! It wasn't the experience we have had previously. We used to get top notch service and food we would dream about after. I could have sworn the first time we were there when they opened--we were visited by a sommelier. There was a server who scraped the crumbs from the table. Just the attention was sooo much better and we relished our meal and the experience! This time our server was overwhelmed! There was no way she could give us proper attention, I feel we deserved for the price point. She could never come to check on US without her eyes and attention wandering to her other tables! After we were seated, she brought the bread and crudités--which we love but missed the creamed herring. That was one of the items that always brought us back. When we asked about it--she said it was by request and said she would bring some. Well, that never happened. No biggie. She recommended some dishes--the sea bass with crabmeat and chili sauce--I wasn't impressed. My husband had blackened salmon. He enjoyed his. But for what we paid , I expected better. No biggie. We were full after the bread, crudités, oysters on the half shell. So we asked her to pack our food to go--I barely took 3 bites of mine, and my husband had only half of his. She was very thoughtful though to offer a dessert for my birthday. We asked for it to go--which she did. We gave our Landry rewards, which we had $50 to apply to our $240 bill. She only applied $25. We still have $25 still on the card! And she gave some cockamamie story why she didn't use it. This was a special meal for us--and I was so proud I remembered I had the landrys card and rewards and was able to use it. The worst thing that happened, we got home--and our food was not in the bag! Only the dessert. We were so sad our hard earned money we spent, just not to have our leftovers. We will not return--which saddens me. It is not the amazing restaurant it once was.
