I was super excited for this steakhouse from the get-go especially advertising the medieval themed decors, drinks and much more. I absolutely loved the service. Steve was an amazing person who attended us well. He told us about the history and reccoms. Tiny, the manager also introduced himself and I felt like that was really sweet. I saw him give some couples from roses due to their occasion I am guessing and that was so sweet of yall! Anywho, the food was amazing! I ordered the Lobster bisque which was a 5/5!For my entree I ordered the blackened salmon 4/5. My family had their Delmonico which he really liked. My other two friends ordered from the $70 course meal which comes with Appetizer, main entree and dessert and it looked great. For the price, the $70 deal is worth it! We also tried their cake (apologies I forgot the name) but it was the best cake I ever had. Amazing breading and not dry. I had their peach cobbler and it was soo great! 5/5. This place has lots of potential and were really welcoming. I recommend!

I'm already planning to come back next year. This place is a GREAT find. It's medieval GOT themed. You can take pictures with swords and helmets. There's over flowing candles everywhere. It's very cozy, intimate, and romantic. The lighting is complete with a candle on the table and lights stringed above. Everything was perfect. The drinks. The sides. The food. The service! Talia was our server and she provided great conversation & recommendations. The cocktails have GOT themed names. Certain ones come in a horn or goblet on fire!! Very date night and Instagram-able.

We came here for a friends birthday last night and had mixed experience. There were a few bumps in the road, but we give major kudos to how the situation was handled. The food was good overall and everyone enjoyed what they had. (2 filets, a Delmonico, and a short rib). All were tasty. Three meals came out together and the fourth was cooked wrong so it was refired before making it to the table. We appreciated that it was noticed and corrected by the staff. One of the three meals was incorrect. I ordered the short rib and the server brought the short rib pasta. The manager Brandon questioned it as I had talked with him about it before I ordered. Once he noticed it, they immediately corrected it. It was tender and delicious! The atmosphere was fun. Very dark inside but that is part of the vibe. It was fun to play with the swords and armor. The service was overall good. We were greeted by the manager Brandon and the hostess Brooke. They immediately set the tone for a fun night. They were playful, yet professional and had great personalities! Our server Grant did not have a great table side manner. It wasn't bad or rude, it just did not match the energetic greeting we started with. The birthday girl is gluten free and the server did not take the time to explain what items were or could be made GF when asked. The server basically said, I'm not ready to take order yet. That said, she could not decide on her meal because she didn't know what she could order. She decided on a filet and was happy with the meal. When the server said he was bringing the birthday dessert, I asked if it was GF. I don't recall what he said but he did bring a scoop of vanilla ice cream along with their normal birthday dessert. I felt like he would not have done that if I had not asked, but I can't say that confidently. It seemed he needed to be reminded repeatedly about her gluten allergy. Overall we had a good experience with a few bumps. Those bumps were handled promptly and professionally by Brandon and Brooke. We will likely be back for another try in the future. Brooke needs a promotion to be a server, and Brandon does a great job managing the place. Brandon and Brooke made our experience a positive one.

Primal Steakhouse, The Colony: A Vegas Concept That Falls Short My boyfriend and I visited Primal Steakhouse on a Friday night, excited to try the Las Vegas concept that recently opened in The Colony. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype. The medieval-themed décor felt more like Medieval Times Dallas than an upscale steakhouse. Service was okay, and our waiter was attentive throughout the evening. The food was hit or miss. The complimentary bread was overly oily, and the tomato spread was unexpectedly sweet. We ordered the crab cakes and it tasted like frozen. The wedge salad arrived with blue cheese crumbles but no dressing, leaving it dry until we requested dressing . Our steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was good. The sides, however, were disappointing. The mushrooms lacked flavor, and the mac and cheese was bland. We also tried the chimichurri, which came at an extra charge and was far too acidic for our taste. The table setup felt awkward for a date night, and the live music lacked the sound quality needed to create a lively atmosphere. Overall, while the service was okay and the steak was good, the restaurant lacked the wow factor you'd expect from Las Vegas i. We left disappointed. ******Update****** I simply shared my honest experience as a paying customer. After reading the owner's response, I'll let future customers decide what reflects the business more accurately the review or the response.

A few nights ago we went to Primal Steakhouse in The Colony. Its their second location with Vegas being the first and that one has great reviews. Having great reviews for a steakhouse in Vegas NOT on the strip...... We had high hopes. The menu isn't very large and several of the items were not available. The story was there was an influencer that showed up a few days earlier and posted something on social media and that caused the food items not being available. Since they had just opened in Feb we figured growing pains. It's loosely based on Game of Thrones. The decor is very medieval in a good way. It's dark and romantic with only flames as lighting except the glaring open door to the kitchen. It was my wife's birthday and everyone knew, staff members. My wife started with a drink called "The Red Wedding". It was delicious! Everything was very good except the steaks. They were not great. A lot of grisel. And OMG the dinner took forever. It started at 6:30 and we were leaving at 9:30. 30 minutes between courses was ridiculous. As we saw other people come and go, we were anxious and pissy by the end as we wanted to come home and have a birthday bonfire. As stated earlier, it was my wife's birthday, we saw others receive the birthday dessert with candle served with other desserts. After waiting about 20 minutes for our peach dessert to be delivered, that wasn't, I asked to speak with the mgr, Brandon. Brandon never came to the table, he sort of vanished from the floor and we explained the frustration to our server who we had to ask where our dessert was and ask for the birthday dessert. 40 years in customer service, if a client/customer ask to speak to a mgr and that mgr does not make an attempt, we have issues. That being said...... We both decided we would go back as except for the timing it was good!

My experience at Primal Steakhouse was phenomenal. The bartender and the young man that assisted us were very knowledgeable about the establishment and the menu options. We ordered the crap cakes for an appetizer (3/5). For dinner I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and hubby ordered the 16 oz prime smoked New York steak and mushrooms (5/5). We ordered the chocolate lava cake to go, but I wasn't impressed. The drinks were a show all their own (see my attached photos and videos). I had The Red Wedding, and hubby ordered the King's Elixir, a creative take on a smoked Old Fashioned (5/5). Overall, the service, the drinks, the steaks and the sides were all amazing. They fell short on the crap cakes and the chocolate lava cake. Would I return again, ABSOLUTELY!

We wanted to love this spot, but unfortunately, we won't be back. While the ambiance was lovely, our experience with the food was highly disappointing. It took 45 to 50 minutes for our entrees to arrive, and the preparation fell short across the board: The Steak: Ordered medium, but served medium-rare, cold in the middle, and severely under-seasoned. The Salmon: Also arrived cold and lacked flavor. The Burger: Just okay, but again, very bland. We had to rely heavily on the table salt and pepper just to give the dishes some taste. On a positive note, the service was excellent. Our server did a great job, and the manager was incredibly nice, personable, and attentive. However, given the long wait times and poorly prepared food, the great service wasn't enough to justify a return visit

I meet a friend that is a fellow yelper at Primal Steakhouse for happy hour. I was glad to get the invite because I hadn't heard about the place and it's close to my job. The ambiance is a dark moody medieval castle type feel. It's casual and welcoming. We arrived early for happy hour at 4:30pm and went to the bar. We were served by Hailey. She was wonderful explaining the drinks and they all came with a show. I decided to go with the drink similar to a smoky old fashioned, kings elixor. I enjoyed the smoky part of the presentation of the drink and the flavor that it left in the drink. It was strong and tasty and the perfect spin on an old fashioned. They served Texas toast with a roasted marinara jam sauce. It was delicious. I wish they would have brought a second serving of that. We got the crab cakes and the garlic shrimp. I thought both were ok but both could have been spicier and more flavorful. I think either could have taken a Cajun or more garlic spin and set them off. Overall the drinks are perfect and the food has room for improvement.

Delicious drinks and food. James was a wonderful server. One of the chefs came and was talking to some tables which I appreciate. Overall 10/10 experience.

Primal comes to us from Las Vegas. Welcome to TEXAS! The atmosphere is dramatic and the ambiance is modern, but classic and chic. It's DARK, SEXY, MYSTERIOUS and COOL! Think knights in shining armor and castle vibes. I love the red decor as it's bright, but sophisticated at the same time. I like the medieval theme makes it look exciting. We decided to visit for my favorite HOUR. They offer great HAPPY HOUR specials on appetizers and cocktails. It was a pleasurable time. My HAPPY HOUR experience was so AMAZING! I was feeling happy and satisfied. Once I got use to the idea of dark and dim lighting. I met up with my SOUL sister a fellow yelper to share the NEW experience. We sat at the bar and ordered appetizers and cocktails. The bartender was GREAT. Hailey was so friendly, helpful, fun and polished. She also makes some of the best DAMN DRINKS! Her customer service skills are on point and her drink making skills are perfect. The drink presentations are FIRE! Definitely theatrical and photo/video worthy. I was impressed with all the drinks and presentations. Up first was the Viking Punch and it comes in a cool Viking horn glass. It's a mix of Ketel One Peach Orange Blossom, Black Infusions Apricot, Sour, OJ, Cranberry, Absinthe. It was FANTASTIC! Next was the Kings Elixor which has Bourbon, Cocktail & Sons Spiced Demerara, Lemon Bitters, Woodchip Smoke Infusion. It was DIVINE! My favorite was the RED Wedding Cocktail! It is made with Ciroc Limonata, Pallini Limoncello, Lemon Juice, Raspberry Puree. Down right heavenly and delicious. YUM! Honorable Mention is the Sangria. Presentation is cool with the fire, but this drink is STRONG. It's not your average Sangria. For food we tried the crab cakes first. They were tasty and full of crab meat. I appreciated that the crab cakes weren't full of fillers and had actual CRAB. It came with two sauces a mango salsa and a spicy dip. Next we tried the shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were HUGE. They lacked in flavor though. I didn't care for them. These need a revamp something is off with the sauce and seasoning. We also had some soft toast with the most scrumptious tomato bacon jam. The jam was smoky and unique. It was different, but really good. All of the staff were friendly. We met the manager and chef. They were all nice and welcoming. I had a wonderful time and will be back for drinks and to try an entree. They passed the testing phase for me. Wishing them much success! They are definitely developing the concept and determined to make it better and better. They will be adding on an additional room that will feel like a speakeasy. Also on the weekends they offer live entertainment. Make those reservations and go explore the menu.

New spot just opened and we were ready to try it. We had been keeping an eye on it and finally made it in. I arrived a little early and there were a few guys waiting ahead of me. I'm not sure if there was some confusion, but I wasn't acknowledged at first. Thankfully another staff member came over shortly after, got me checked in, and was very kind. From there, things definitely turned around. I was seated first, and our server was incredibly polite and welcoming. They started us off with complimentary bread and a tomato jam that was a really nice touch and honestly delicious. Once my friend arrived, we ordered the bone marrow appetizer. It looked beautiful when it came out, but there wasn't much marrow to actually enjoy. It was a bit dried out, so while the presentation was great, it didn't quite live up to the price. For my main, I went with the Delmonico steak. It was a generous portion and definitely on the pricier side. It was cooked well, just not as flavorful as I had hoped for. The side sauces were a nice addition but for an extra charge. We also shared the lobster Mac and cheese- very rich and luxurious- $25, large bowl of it. Buttery, cheesy and divine. We wrapped things up with the peach cobbler. It was decent, but the peaches could have been softer to really make it shine. Where this place truly stands out is the service. Multiple staff members checked in on us throughout the meal, and everyone was attentive, friendly, and professional. The space itself is also really nice and has a great atmosphere. Overall, a solid experience with some highlights and a few things that could be refined, but the service alone makes it worth a visit.

I loved the atmosphere. Service is a bit slow with long waits between getting a greeting, drinks, appetizers and entrée. The food all came out in weird intervals. I received my steak but nothing else with it. No one at my table had anything yet. And so on until we had everything. I will say the smoked steak was good flavor wise but the cut was chewy in multiple places. I'm not sure if I got some tendon or what...and I received it on the Luke warm side. It was cold by the time everything else was served. I was surprised they charge $62 and not one side comes with the steak. I wouldn't buy the bone marrow again.. or the French onion soup. It was okay. The short rib was good, mashed potatoes were great. Mac and cheese wasn't my favorite. Brussels sprouts were great. It was my birthday! They give you a bite size birthday treat. It was awful tasting. I ordered two desserts. I had two different employees tell me their butter cake was the best. I ordered that and their lava cake. I'm not a picky person but it was really not pleasant. Dry and little flavor. Slightly sweet very dry cornbread with a couple berries on the side lol. I was surprised anyone would recommend that. Or maybe they just needed to sell it. The lava cake is advertised as homemade so I was excited but that wasn't great either. Edible at the least. No one ate the butter cake. I think this place has good potential and maybe they are working out some kinks with being fairly new. The guy they had playing live was phenomenal! I think he's what made the evening pleasant.

Primal Steakhouse has been going strong for 16 years in Vegas, but it is new to The Colony since January 2026. The gimmick is pretty cool with a viking theme. There were heavy swords and helmets up front where you can take pictures with them. The dripping taper candles gave the place an eerie feel. The drinks are cleverly named to match the theme. We had a variety of food and would come back to try other items. Here's my opinion on the food and cocktails we ordered: Emerald Serpent - If you like spicy drinks, this is the one for you. It'll give you chills up and down your spine. Viking Punch - This drink was fun - bubbly (possibly nitrogen or dry ice?), strong, and slightly sweet. I felt like a real viking drinking from the Gjallarhorn. Sourdough Toast and Bacon Jam - The absolute best part of the meal!! I still cannot believe the bread is sourdough because it was light, airy, and perfect. It tasted like a heavily buttered Texas toast. Is it really sourdough?? Yum! The Bacon Jam was good with it being slightly sweet. Ceviche - The fried plantains were nicely seasoned but clashed with the subtle fish ceviche. The ceviche needed more flavor - more salt, more lime, more of a kick. Lobster Bisque - The soup was extremely salty so I only had a couple of sips/bites. The lobster chunks were decent and the bread was good. 16 Ounce New York Strip (ran out of 24 Ounce Dry Aged Strip) - It was cooked perfectly medium rare, but the cut itself wasn't the most tender. Baked Potato - It was topped with REAL bacon and not bacon bits so that was a delight. It could have used more course sea salt on the outside. Brussel Sprouts - This was a fantastic side and I highly recommend it. Get your serving of veggies in, people! Risotto - I thought it was creamy, but the flavor was interesting. Not my favorite but my companion liked it the most. Bourbon Peach Cobbler - I liked the pecan ice cream but wished the cobbler had more dough sprinkled on top. The brown sugar was very present. French Macaron - It was a pink and green capped macaron (thought it would be watermelon flavor) but tasted like banana. Yum! The highlight of the night was the staff. I called to notify them we were running late for our reservation and they were accommodating. The hostesses were polite when we reached the host stand. Our server was spectacular as she checked up on us multiple times though it was obvious she was busy (packed house on a Saturday evening). Everyone helped out clearing our table including the manager. We were honest about the Lobster Bisque being too salty and they took care of it. Didn't expect it but that was a super sweet gesture. Because of their actions, we would definitely come back to try different drinks, non-steak entrees, and other sides. Thanks for being so hospitable!

The whole place has a laid-back, rustic feel, with whiskey barrels out front and plenty of character inside. They have a really nice patio overlooking the lake, and there was a fantastic acoustic guitar player performing while we were there, which made it the perfect low-key Saturday night spot. They also have an upstairs area that can be rented for special occasions, which would be a really fun option for a private party. As the name suggests, they have an extensive whiskey list. We didn't try any whiskey this visit, but there were definitely plenty of options for whiskey lovers. The service was absolutely on point. I ordered the Sticky Chipotle Chicken with double roasted vegetables. The chicken was chopped with Monterey Jack cheese, pico, black beans and a spicy chipotle sauce. It had a really good flavor with just the right amount of spice. My fiancé ordered the Power Play with salmon, rice pilaf and vegetables--and apparently I thought it was my dinner too because I kept reaching over and eating his! The salmon was delicious and had this wonderful charbroiled flavor that made it hard to leave alone. One thing I really appreciated about the menu was the variety. There are plenty of fresh, healthier options if that's what you're looking for, but they also have the crowd-pleasing comfort foods you'd expect from a casual lakeside spot. Apparently Rackhouse has been open since 2024, but somehow we had never heard of it before. I'm glad we finally found it because it feels like one of those easy, laid-back places you can come for dinner, sit on the patio, listen to live music and enjoy the lake without making a whole production out of the evening. Five stars from us. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu--and maybe actually dive into that whiskey list next time!

But don't miss out on the fun.. They have tropical cocktails on tap! - the Mai Tai and the Painkiller are my two favorites And if you like frozen drinks, they've got you covered If rum isn't your style they have plenty of whiskey offerings as well as beer and a full bar. It's a lovely little air conditioned break from the Texas heat of the Truck Yard.. Because it's all related, you can start a tab at any of the TY buildings and keep the tab going throughout the complex so even if you're with others not really into cocktails with Polynesian flair, make the rounds to fully experience all that TY complex has to offer. On the back side of the lounge, they have karaoke rooms and poker rooms for rent with bottle service available for your special events or just a fun night out... Service is always friendly and amazing and even though I've only been a couple times, I already have been made to feel like a welcome hoaloha..

Third time we went on a Monday night. Closed. The fourth time I had called ahead & was told that the bar is closed Monday-Wednesday, so we went on a Thursday night around 8:30 & spoiler alert: closed. I called the main line & was told they close it early if business is slow. They said we could go to the main bar, but they don't sell the tiki drinks there. I'd really like to try this place, but you guys aren't making it easy for us. I will update if we actually find it open, but I'm not holding my breath at this point.

We got our drinks as we were almost finished with appetizers. Drinks are overpriced. Here's a picture of a $20 old-fashioned before I had a sip. They were not only beautifully crafted but absolutely delicious--each sip had us dreaming of swaying palm trees, ocean breezes, and a Hawaiian getaway. We loved both the Mai Tais and the Beachy Bookkeeper! We decided to share a few appetizers. The Meatballs al Forno was my favorite...packed with flavor and perfect for enjoying with friends over drinks. The Heirloom Tomato Burrata was okay however, the tomatoes didn't seem ripe and were hard and chewy. The Lobster in a Jar was tasty - on the pricey side if you ask me though... One of my favorite things about this spot is the ambiance. The lighting is low (and by low I am flat out dark where you almost can't see your hand in front of your face), creating a dark, cozy, and intimate atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and unwind after a long day. Whether you're catching up with friends, enjoying a date night, or simply looking for a place to escape for a few hours, the vibe here is spot on. The service was fantastic as well. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed, which only added to the experience. Tiki Tuesday has officially become one of my favorite weekly traditions. Great drinks, delicious appetizers, wonderful service, and a cozy atmosphere--what more could you ask for? I'll definitely be back next Tuesday for another little island escape. Where's my grass skirt and coconut bra??? Mahalo for a great evening!
