Very impressed with customer service in office and with plumber (Pete did the work for me). I called a few plumbers but no one called back. Prima answered phone and promptly followed up with scheduling a week out. They tried to fit me in sooner which they did and Pete came on time as promised and did a great job - was polite , didn't waste time, and cleaned up afterwards. I was charged a reasonable fee. I wouldn't hesitate to call this company again if I need to which I hope I don't! But overall a good experience. read more

I called Prima on July 2nd for an emergency fix because my kitchen sink was backing up. The office was able to slot me in the very next day despite the fact they were booked. Pete showed up a little early and handled the repair very quickly. His years of experience are readily apparent as he was able to identify two unrelated problems almost immediately and fixed both quickly and professionally. They do excellent work and are honest when they don't think you need something. (We'd asked about going to an on-demand water heater. Larry said with our household, it wouldn't really be a wise investment.) Recently, I needed a pipe moved very quickly for a roofing job. Return customer review. VERY HAPPY! I called Prima Plumbing on Monday to fix a clogged kitchen sink. They answered the phone professionally, and got me scheduled into their system promptly! They checked with me in the morning to make sure the time was perfect for me, and let me know someone would be out here during the scheduled time. Matthew from Prima Plumbing would come out to fix our Kitchen sink issue. He's been at our house before to fix an issue where a squirrel ate through one of our pipes! He definitely knew our house personally, and that was a great relief to hear someone coming back that was familiar. I appreciate they are able to keep employees since other plumbing services I've gone through in the past a new guy would come each every time, and they couldn't retain the same guy for more than a blip. That was unfortunate. Anyways, like before, he was quick to figure out the issue and explain it to me in detail. As an Engineer it pleases me to hear someone in a trade be able to explain an issue in detail and not try to fuss around it. Very clear, and very direct with the issue at hand. He would quickly resolve the issue and double check everything to ensure that the job was not only done correctly, but also that we wouldn't foresee any issues. The job was 110% complete. Matthew would notify me also that our garbage disposal was at the wrong height, and due to that, our disposal acts like a p-trap and water just sits inside the disposal -- this is a problem because it will have a shorter lifespan. That was really good to know. The prices are reasonable, and the plumbers are competent. Very happy with the service, and definitely recommend these guys to anyone! I would call in to ask about an upstairs leak in a bathroom, and got a rough idea of the work that would need to be done and how they would approach. We would schedule a time in which the plumbers can come and fix the issue. Two experienced plumbers would arrive early before the scheduled time! They were courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable about their trade. I would point out the issue, and they would begin discussing what they thought it was and how the piping worked in the house. They were correct, and would immediately find the (unique) issue, and cut out a small portion of the drywall to repair the broken pipe in the bathroom. The pipe was chewed on by a squirrel or a rat and the little sucker left a 2" hole in the pipe. The plumbers would give us some advice on how to deal with it from that point on with calling pest control, and also getting us a list of general contractors to fix up the drywall. The repair took less than about 2 hours, and the job and site was cleaned up after the repair. No surprises in the bill, and would write up a check on the spot for them! Cannot recommend these guys enough. Good, honest local company doing great work. Definitely give these guys a ring if you have issues with your plumbing! read more

I adore this company! This summer they fixed a leaking tub, and helped me select an indestructible toilet appropriate for teenage boys. In January 2015 they will enter our home once again as we remodel our kitchen. Not only will they prepare our very old pipes for some new appliances, but they have already talked me through the insane number of options for faucets and garbage disposals. I will note that I didn't actually hire these folks, but I wouldn't hesitate to in the future. I called with some questions about fixing or replacing my water heater. Both the dispatcher and an estimator took the time to answer all my questions and gave me advice on who to contact to get the unit fixed if I wanted to go that route (they, along with everyone else I contacted don't work on Whirlpool water heaters). The price they quoted for replacing with a new unit was competitive with the other vendors I contacted. read more

We had them come out and redo our plumbing for our bathroom remodel. The shower drain ended up not fitting our shower pan (even though we were told their policy is to do a dry fit). We had to call them back (4 months after they came out since we had some time go in between contractors). I sent an email Tuesday night and called Wednesday and Thursday morning and they had a plumber come back out the following Tuesday (first thing in the morning at 730am) and he fixed the issue within an hour. We appreciated their willingness to swiftly correct and address the issue. read more

I had an urgent plumbing issue right before the fourth of July. The plumbers I've been using for 10 years would not help me out. Prima was fully booked, but Greta reworked their schedule to get Pete over to make an assessment and do any remediation needed urgently (I thought it was a burst pipe). Thankfully it was a leaky kitchen drain line, not a burst pipe, so they schedule the work for this week. Scheduling was professional, people were on time. The work was excellent. Pete cut into the drain stack, found the problems went deeper than they had estimated. He told me it would cost more, and I said - keep going, get it done! Anyway, he ended up having to do a fair amount more work than initially assessed, and they were gracious enough to bill me at the original estimate. Another 5 star review for the wonderful people at Prima. From the original conversation with their office staff all the way through the installation they were fantastic. We had a slight mishap with installing a piece that was not up to the new code, and they realized that on their own after talking to a city inspector, and were back to fix/replace it at no charge within the hour. They went out of their way to schedule inspections with the city for me even though I offered to do it myself, and were generally nice people throughout the whole process. To top it off, they even lowered my bill after the job initially went quicker than anticipated. I will be recommended Prima to everyone I know in need of plumbing services. I typically don't post reviews, but felt compelled to share my positive experiences with Prima Plumbing and their staff. Had a tankless water heater issue, as well as a small leak at the connection point between the Uponor tubing and my stainless steel line. Greta helped me do some over the phone diagnosis, and then immediately dispatched a crew (within an hour) to my house as I was without hot water (and heat). Matthew and Wayne were extremely professional and helpful and walked me through each step of their diagnostic process, educating me on what I could look for next time and explaining in detail how to go about maintaining my filter properly. 5 star customer service all the way around! read more

Solid service, courteous, on-time and fair prices. We just had Pete out to take a look at a watermark that was appearing on our ceiling. Our house is only 4 years old so we were a little surprised to be having trouble. The diagnosis was improperly installed overflow and regular tub drains. He fixed it by putting in a new gasket and using silicon instead of putty (I wish our builders had been as smart as Pete). It took him about a half an hour to fix. I ultimately selected Prima to fix a broken water line from the meter to my house. They were the middle bid, $400.00 less than the highest and $100.00 more than the lowest. I got a $1,700.00 water bill so was very anxious to have the leak fixed before it caused any real damage. Larry came and assessed the situation, promptly gave me a professional and thorough bid, gave me a gizmo to shut the water off at the meter so I could manage the water over the weekend while I decided which bid to accept. They started the excavation work on Monday at 7:30 AM. By Wednesday, the line was installed and approved by the Seattle inspector, the trench was filled with sod back in place, concrete poured where necessary an everything looking as it did before they started. I live in a 60 year old house and the interior water pressure was weak so I had them re-pipe the interior, too. They were done Friday at 1:30 PM. They are very decent, competent people, all of them, including Greta in the office, They did a great job, were reasonably priced and neat as a pin. You won't be disappointed. read more

I joined yelp just to write this review. This is a great company, I had a sink drain clog that draino couldn't fix so I called a few 5 star plumbers and none could come until the following week. Could have called a larger company for same-day service but decided to call one more 5 star company - Prima Plumbing - and am so glad I did. The man who answered the phone was so nice and helpful, and had someone to my house within 20 minutes! I was lucky and happened to call at just the right time when Pete was nearing the end of his shift and was available. Pete was super friendly, knowledgeable and fixed the problem quickly. He identified a couple of issues with the previously installed pipes below my sink and fixed those issues as well. Had him fix a leaky faucet in my bathroom too while he was here and he did that quickly as well and was very thorough. I will recommend these guys to my friends, they made my day! read more

Finding decent plumbers isn't easy. As a real estate broker who specialized in new construction, I have been around lots of plumbers and sub contractors. Many plumbers are hackers. I called a plumber I knew who was too busy but when I asked for a referral, Prima is who he recommended. I had a pretty significant re-plumb job on an old house. It took a while to get the bid but it was detailed and comprehensive. The price, while not cheap, was fair. The work was good and the communication was good. I was happy with the work and the county building inspector liked it too. I would use them again and probably will. read more

Peter came out to fix very low water flow in the shower. He diagnosed it as a very rusty pipe and gave several options for fixing/replacing it. He was able to do so for the least cost, as it was for a senior citizen. He was very helpful in explaining the options and patient with answering all our questions. Oh my goodness! This is a great company. They have an office that calls even if the plumber is going to be a little bit late. I had a couple of problems in a complicated system of radiant heat and a marine toilet and a slow draining sink. They came out three times to diagnose and fix. When they didn't fix the sink the first time, the plumber, Pete, came out with the boss Larry, and those two charming polite guys solved the problem. They are GREAT! read more

These guys are awesome! They are expensive, but they are WELL worth it. We are out-of-town landlords and the water-heater went out in our place - we did everything over the phone, but Greta and Alexander kept us up to date all along the way.
