Called due to random holes appearing on my exterior siding. Terrence quickly identified it as a Powder Post beetle issue and identified other places it had infested my home. Terrence the Termite Terminator Okay, so since it turned out that I didn't have termites after all, I have no basis for bestowing Terrence with this new title, but I thought it was so fitting that I couldn't resist. But what actually happened was that Terrence came out the day after I called with my fear that I was hearing termites in my wall at night. Terrence looked in the room where I thought I heard termites. He looked outside, especially in the area near the room. He looked into the crawl space below the room and looked around. He could find no sign of termites. The next day I found the source of the mysterious noise that I had thought was termites. It wasn't termites at all. After consultation, he recommended not to do any treatment today as he didn't think we had termites. I offered to pay for the consultation, but he wouldn't charge me for his time. Excellent service. Priceless Termite was quick to respond to our request- overnight, after termites were swarming near our back door - yikes ! They inspected the next day. Subterranean termites were detected, they provided a thorough estimate and were out the next day to do the work. Trenched around the house, carefully drilled through pavers, and applied termicide. Determined that an old wooden garden box was part of the problem and removed it. On top of that Terrance and Dave are really nice people to work with. When he arrived, he identified dry wood rather than subterranean termites, explained why he thought so, and offered treatment options (tenting or local treatment), recommending local treatment since it appeared to be a recent and localized infestation. When I first called him, he stopped what he was doing to talk to me, listen to my concerns and make an appointment to come to my house to look at the problem. We made an appointment for two weeks out. Fast forward to appointment day and I missed it. My phone was hacked and I lost all of my calendar appointments. If there's one word to describe Terrence's business, it's "reliable". When you call, he picks up; when he says he will show up at a certain time, he will be 15 minutes early. Terrence sets great expectations and from the moment he came to inspect the house I was so relieved. Our crawl space is really low but he still crawled in to look for subterranean termite activity and evidence of dry rot. A week later he came and did the treatment, and promptly repaired the areas with dry rot the next business day. Since the weather forecast said it would rain this week, Terrence actually put in the extra time to wrap up the work earlier in the week too. We just purchased a new home and the previous owner's inspections called out a bunch of dry rot and a suspiciously high bill to repair it all. Decided to get a second opinion and found Priceless Termite Control. Like other reviews have said, Terrence personally runs the show which I appreciate. Communication with him is direct over phone or text (he also responds to voicemails quickly when he's on the road/on a job). I was a little hesitant about the inspection fee for him to come out but as a new homeowner I'm quickly learning not to trust anyone offering "free inspections" as it usually leads to dishonest estimates and lots of upselling. The day of inspection, Terrence came out and spent a good 30 minutes doing a thorough review of the exterior and crawl space. Right off the bat, Terrence was so much more helpful than the previous inspection giving me more context on what needed fixing (and what didn't) and why. He's super down to earth and spent the extra time to get me an honest education and opinion. His work estimate was clear, straightforward, and came in below the cost of the previous inspector who somehow felt the need to charge me thousands for scaffolding to do work that could obviously be done with a ladder. Onto the work itself, Terrence spent 3 days personally replacing the siding and beams on the deck that needed replacing. In my opinion he went above and beyond, replacing the most damaged piece of siding with a pressure treated board that was more resistant to damage and reinforcing the beams he replaced on our deck with screws to hold them in place instead of the nails that were there before. Terrence is a stand up guy that does quality work at a great price and clearly takes pride in running his business - a true rarity as I'm quickly finding. Patient both in looking at every little area that had caught my eye and in explaining his work.
