I used Yelp to put a blanket request for the Sacramento area, and Stress Free Auto reached out right away! I was able to take my car in first thing the next morning and was greeted in such a friendly and warm way. Knowing they had a few jobs ahead of me, they called a niiiice Lyft and made sure I got home free of charge! From there the communication was excellent. There were continual texts that provided information about their progress not only with searching for the main problem, but also a general overall inspection of my vehicle. Once complete they sent me an estimate, I called to coordinate which things I wanted repaired/addressed, and they sent over a finalized quote that I signed immediately. It was quick, informative, and quite literally stress free The main problem was a cracked exhaust manifold. Seems like an extensive repair, right? Well, they let me know later that afternoon that they were done! Amazing same day service! Absolutely incredible. It's been a month since the repair and I haven't had any issues. So, in my book, that's a job well done! The only small gripe I have is the cost. Again, it was same day service, so it's understandable that I might have paid more than I would have at another local shop, but they did offer a discount on the initial inspection cost. Some other shops roll the inspection cost into the cost of repairs, but unfortunately Stress Free doesn't do that. Plus, a couple of suggested repairs were somewhat of a laughable cost. If memory serves, they quoted me around $60 to replace wipers. I'm not sure if it was a quote for all 3, or just one, but I spent $15 on a wiper on the way home and installed it myself. Whatever, they are trying to make money! Despite my small price gripe, I will be using Stress Free in the future for any vehicle concerns I have!

The business owner, Charles, made an afternoon appointment and met us at the Hertz car sales lot right on time. His inspection took just over an hour and when it was done, Charles explained his findings to us. It was clear to us that Charles has deep automotive expertise - plus he is an excellent communicator, patiently answering all of our questions. In the end we had a list of issues to present to Hertz, and their standard sales contract was amended to require Hertz to address/resolve these issues before our car is delivered in the next day or two. By the time we got home Charles had emailed us a 6 page written report for our records. In addition, the fee he charged was very reasonable. I had received other quotes that were $10 and $20 higher, and they required you to take the car to their location. Having a mobile inspection service made the logistics so much easier. Bottom line - we highly recommend this business. It was great to have an automotive expert looking out for our best interests when buying a used car.

I notified the owner via msg on yelp. (See attached) Me and him went back & forth bc after expressing my concerns he wanted to say I needed new rotors or rotors machined typical. He didn't want to give me my money back so instead he told me to bring it back and he will machine rotors for free. I took it back the second time, he took less time than he did the first time. After he said he was done, he claimed that I needed my back brakes and rotors done as well Long story short, my breaks are still squeaking & I ended up paying the same, as if I went to a well known shop (considering the price it cost me to travel back & forth with Ubers and gas). I was a first time customer & by all means this was a 1 star experience. Will not recommend or take my chances of coming back.
